Biography/History

Jorik’s story in this galaxy doesn’t begin with any immediate fanfare or tragedy. No, he was simply born to an upstart family on the Mid Rim world of Druckenwell. It was there he was raised and given a purpose, unable to determine his destiny for himself, for his path had been laid out before him long before his conception. The reason behind this is that for four generations now his family had run a company established in their own name. Because of this, it was his future and his destiny that this towering spring of wealth would eventually be handed down to him. And thus, this became a reality as he was thrust into the spotlight as the company’s CEO at the tender age of just twenty-three years. It was a mammoth undertaking for one so young to say the least, however, fate had run its course and with unexpected passing of his father, Valnora Enterprise was subsequently handed down to the eldest of three children. Jorik has run the company ever since.

Early Years
Jorik, the third of his name was born to Jorik II [CEO, Valnora Enterprise] and Alara Valnora on the Mid Rim planetary system of Druckenwell. The oldest of three children, Jorik III has a younger brother and sister which are both six years younger than himself. During his childhood, Jorik remained rather isolated from many his age. He was homeschooled and often subjected to many additional hours of study after hours in management practices with the company he was to one day take over. Because of this, as he later moved into adolescence, he was never truly able to develop interpersonal skills with those out his family and the Company they ran. He was simply being molded into what the company and his father saw as the perfect image of what a CEO should be, no matter how flawed that perception may have been.

Late Childhood Into Early Adulthood
This model he was being molded into never changed. Not even into his teenage years. He was never allow to explore what passed for social norms, nor give due time to interact with anyone remotely his own age. Because of this, his personality has become something different. He does not know how to honestly relate to those of wealth classes beneath his own. Business and management consumed him and through the majority of this developmental stage of his life, he became a product of what the company and his father wanted him to be. Strong. Demanding. Straightforward. Blunt. And a number of other things to boot.

Adulthood to Present
As time pressed forward, so, too, did an agenda. Jorik had already stepped into a board position and was making several Executive decisions at the behest of his father. Things seemed to be operating smoothly for awhile, but a wrench would soon be wedged into that foundation. The mother of the family, Alara, fell ill unexpectedly and within just a few short months, fell to whatever had come over her. This rattled the man that had been molded and sculpted into the visage the company and his father sought to have. But fate, it seemed, had not fully fulfilled its fun as death lashed out once more in a way that, for a time, broke the stalwart man that he had become. Overcome with grief, his father had lost the will to carry on after the passing of their mother. He took his life one year to the day after Alara’s passing and so the Company was levied on the Twenty-three year old’s shoulders. He was forced to become something new now, and look past the one person his life that had meant more to him than anything.
