Factory Voice Conference Minutes

CONCERNS

1. Species Forum: They're slacking.

Kaman admits she's slow.
Kaman says other species judge is slow.

2. Factory Queues:

7 days to respond to your submission before it is archived.

Factory Judges should not take longer than 7 days to respond to a submission.

Tef: Factory Judges, when busy, should tag other judges on submissions if they see the submission first to let the submitter know that someone will look at their submission.

3. Starship:

Domino? What up. Starship Judges need help. Ayden says he's doing all the work, Popo says he's getting back in the swing of things. Possible need for restructuring of Starship Judges.

4. NPC Factory Judge issues. Tef required.

IDEAS

1. The Marketplace:

Bounty Hunters market/board

Mercenary missions

2. Canon Corporations | Owning Non Canon and in reverse: This should not be a rule.

3. Popo wants moar tanks.

4. Species Templates:

Change Sentience to Sapience
Add rules regarding Sith Alchemy | Should be a dev thread and/or restricted item

5. Technology
Requiring Dev threads for force imbued items.

6. Open up templates/restrictions and be mindful of allowing more places for creativity in the Factory templates

MISCELLANEOUS

1.Make some sort of clarification/announcement regarding Factory Dev Threads and how they only have to include the topic of creation, not explain how it was created.

2. Corporate Espionage? https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Q0PqWePNNyrXJHp39C0RGTDwyUK8ShssdzEnnGQEtrA/edit

3. Popo would like an event. He's the 30th person in the past 48 hours to tell me this. I get it, guys.

I'll take care of this one.

I'll also take care of this one.

This is not to imply that I won't be the one handling other stuff; those are just the ones I'll take care of right now.

So should we do this as it's own subforum in the market area --- or should we see if we can move the current bounty hunter's guild into the forefront?

Or simply make it's own "Factory" like dealio - Either way, I know HK has been the one to run it since the beginning.

HK's not getting back on factory staff any time soon. In due course, sure.

I see the logic of having this as a subforum of the factory, but I don't like clutter. A subforum of the Marketplace, like Auctions, would probably be sufficient. I'm indifferent until I see results one way or another. Either way, I very much want a bounty board.

A subforum would work well. With enough publicity to push it in the beginning, it should maintain enough traction to move forward.

This bounty board can be for anyone, as well as for any kind of criminal underworld type I assume right? So more like a holographic board showing what bounties are up?

Or are we going more for a guild?

Valik

A guild would imply exclusivity. I vote no guild board, just an OOC place to put down bounties. Guilds could have their own dedicated threads within the bounty board and people wanting someone dead could post in Guild X's thread to hire Guild X. Basically the same system we have in the market place, along with the ability with people to make a thread to hire anybody. The system we have in the marketplace has worked well, I think it'd work well there too.

Okay, then we will first need to come up with bounty hunting rules.

And a general template for the actual bounty hunting posts.

Question. Should the bounty hunting posts be posted designated per Major faction ( with a general board for minor factions or whoever else )

Or should it just be one thread = one bounty posted

Or should it be one thread = all bounties posted there?

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
To me there's two ways to do it. On one hand you've got Bounty per thread, and a template with something like this

Name of Bounty:
Name of Contractor:
Bounty Price:
Condition: (dead/alive)
Additional Info: (Whatever might be relevant info to help the bounty hunters achieve their goal.)

On the other hand you've got the possibility of each bounty hunter/guild making their own thread, and people can post to the bounty hunter(s) they want to complete the job. Template would remain largely the same, but organization would be different.

There's also always the possibility we could allow both formats, bounty hunters/guilds having their own threads for private contracts and letting contractors make more open thread for more open bounties, but that might cause a bit of clutter.

This is how I imagined it. But don't lock people into silly "YOUR TEMPLATE MUST LOOK LIKE THIS." We're not actively searching these threads for information like we are the major factory forums, we should allow a bit of creativity and variation.

Offer the basics. If enough people like to do a particular thing, we incorporate it.

To reiterate:

1. The Bounty Hunter forum, if we get it, will not be a part of the Factory - it will be a subforum of the Marketplace.
2. Our template should be basic and not restrict it to any one particular thing. I like Valik's.
3. We'll just keep the Marketplace mods as the Bounty Hunter mods.

Nah. We don't. Lol. No rules! Creating rules is not the Factory's mission. You are an outlet, a byproduct of role-play. Not lawmakers.

I see no need for rules, we just need to provide templates. If rules are absolutely required as we go, we'll make them then, and not before.

Then all we need is the sub forum put up, an pinned topic with valik's template -- and then someone post the announcement.

Still need to figure out if we do one bounty a thread or a group based on areas, or like valik mentioned a combo of both.

Basically what can be done to keep it organized.

Unless we want a one bounty per thread and I just keep an index of them in a pinned thread if the bounty board goes beyond the first page?

Does that sound more simple?

One bounty per thread. No need to index, to my mind -- bounties change all the time, ssometimes stop being valid very quickly, all kinds of variables. No need to overcomplicate it.

Already explained on skype but without going to much into it, allergies put me on my ass so hard I could barely read two lines before I went cross-eyed and forgot everything and as soon as I was getting better it was off to work which didn't help much.

Back now, trying to pick up the slack where I can.

Sounds good then. If we all agree on just the simple template, and now that I know how to organize the forum to keep it clean. We just need to get a new subforum up for bounty hunters.

Welcome to the Holonet Bounty Board, where galactic bounties are broadcasted daily for hunters and the general public. For those seeking to post a bounty on a particular individual, please use the template below and post a new topic. It is that easy!

Any Guildmaster from any Bounty Hunting Guild is free to post their bounties here as well for their Guild.

Any hunter may be free to take the bounty, and if there are any further questions, feel free to tag the author of the bounty.

Stark raving silly
Kaman's right, I was slow. I also, in my boneheadedness, totally forgot about the super seaweed I was reviewing, because I thought I had approved it. My apologies.
