[SIZE=9pt]Ewdenen was first lived on by an ancient race of people that wished to be at one with the nature and with each other. For hundreds of years the people existed in harmony and peace but one day a warrior-mage became dissatisfied with his lot and strove to be the sole ruler of the planet. This faction called themselves the Kara Nedgls and they strove to reshape the planet as a military dictatorship. This stated the war of survival. It brought the planet to the brink of destruction and only survived by the aid of an Echani named Hapas, who was a wise sage who brought with her a party of warriors to defeat the Kara Nedgls. Outsiders found the planet and its abundance of scholars and precious stones as a way to obtain great wealth. The main supporters of the Kara Nerdgls were outside companies who strove to exploit the natural resources of the planet. In the final battle a Mercenary fleet hired by the Kara Nedgls attacked the Temple of Toriz in an attempt to destroy the hope of the people. Hapas met the fleet and gave her life valiantly for the survival of the people. Tanas, the leader of the Kara Nedgls, was slain by [/SIZE][SIZE=9pt]Kobbeck a legendary warrior who was the most notable of the natives of did not join the dictator. A seed fell from the sky and is thought to be the soul of Hapasm this seed was planted in the forest of olwf and grew into the tree of voel. After this the Kara Nedgls were all slain and a new method of government was introduced.[/SIZE]

This fear also compelled the rulers to develop a code of public conduct so that the destruction of the pas would not be repeated by future generations. The money the planet used to fund the war showed the people that their natural resources and skills as warriors and doctors was valuable to the greater galaxy, thus the city of Etgto was built and became a hub of trade and commerce. The people began to build army units that contained both army and naval units so that they could provide warrior services throughout the galaxy. All the knowledge of the past civilization was collected and put into the various libraries and academies. With the introduction of spaceflight technology the people began to venture outside of their system and sought new knowledge. Along with this the people of Ewdenen sought to be more unified with their ancestors and their traditions and the orders of mages was established and began to flourish. The cities are connected by shuttle ports and a road-system that spans the planet so that all people can get around. The tree became a place for people to remember their history and seek to connect with their world so that they may better contribute to their society.[/SIZE]

All people are encouraged to learn a trade and once a child or adult is seen to show proficiency in a trade they are sent to an academy for that trade; however, if a better trade is seen they are free to pursue that instead. People climb rank through multiple ways: display merit, show greater ability than one currently holding a position, have a medical or scientific discovery, save an ancient text or understanding of the previous civilization, or through martial glory. The people see outsiders as a way to learn more about the wider galaxy but are suspicious of those that wish to explore their homeworld. Many who live on Ewdenen go around the galaxy to learn and discover for the sake of self improvement and they meet people and bring them back to Ewdenen, but if an outsider who is brought back breaks the social code both the person and the outsider are banished from the planet. The people are willing to make trade deals with outsiders they are unwilling to become part of a larger faction unless they are shown that the faction has merit and embraces similar values to them[/SIZE][SIZE=9pt] this determination comes to the Sentinel of Ewdenen who is the leader of the planet as determined by the council. Anyone can become the Sentinel because the Sentinel is selected by nomination of those in the government. The Sentinel rules until they die or it is determined that they are unfit to rule the people. The council is chosen by the people based on the merit that they display. The code of conduct and importance of good behavior prevent public issues, but in private people are allowed complete freedom. All methods of artistic freedom are welcomed and encouraged so that people are best able to express emotion. People usually make yearly pilgrimages to the tree of Voel to keep in touch with the greater world. The people are raised to be adventurous and curious which make them ideal for debate and discussion with as well as journeys and adventures. Each unit is like a mini army and as such has a linear command structure. Non-natives can join the army but they undergo intensive scrutiny. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]HISTORICAL INFORMATION [/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]Ewdenen was first lived on by an ancient race of people that wished to be at one with the nature and with each other. For hundreds of years the people existed in harmony and peace but one day a warrior-mage became dissatisfied with his lot and strove to be the sole ruler of the planet. This faction called themselves the Kara Nedgls and they strove to reshape the planet as a military dictatorship. This stated the war of survival. It brought the planet to the brink of destruction and only survived by the aid of an Echani named Hapas, who was a wise sage who brought with her a party of warriors to defeat the Kara Nedgls. Outsiders found the planet and its abundance of scholars and precious stones as a way to obtain great wealth. The main supporters of the Kara Nerdgls were outside companies who strove to exploit the natural resources of the planet. In the final battle a Mercenary fleet hired by the Kara Nedgls attacked the Temple of Toriz in an attempt to destroy the hope of the people. Hapas met the fleet and gave her life valiantly for the survival of the people. Tanas, the leader of the Kara Nedgls, was slain by [/SIZE][SIZE=9pt]Kobbeck a legendary warrior who was the most notable of the natives of did not join the dictator. A seed fell from the sky and is thought to be the soul of Hapasm this seed was planted in the forest of olwf and grew into the tree of voel. After this the Kara Nedgls were all slain and a new method of government was introduced.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]The new government was a meritocracy and due to the negative effect of some outside people a new fear of the outsider was instilled into the minds of the people. This fear also compelled the rulers to develop a code of public conduct so that the destruction of the pas would not be repeated by future generations. The money the planet used to fund the war showed the people that their natural resources and skills as warriors and doctors was valuable to the greater galaxy, thus the city of Etgto was built and became a hub of trade and commerce. The people began to build army units that contained both army and naval units so that they could provide warrior services throughout the galaxy. All the knowledge of the past civilization was collected and put into the various libraries and academies. With the introduction of spaceflight technology the people began to venture outside of their system and sought new knowledge. Along with this the people of Ewdenen sought to be more unified with their ancestors and their traditions and the orders of mages was established and began to flourish. The cities are connected by shuttle ports and a road-system that spans the planet so that all people can get around. The tree became a place for people to remember their history and seek to connect with their world so that they may better contribute to their society.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]The culture of the people is that they are incredibly kind and helpful towards others because they are told the stories of those who seek to hold dominion over others. All people are encouraged to learn a trade and once a child or adult is seen to show proficiency in a trade they are sent to an academy for that trade; however, if a better trade is seen they are free to pursue that instead. People climb rank through multiple ways: display merit, show greater ability than one currently holding a position, have a medical or scientific discovery, save an ancient text or understanding of the previous civilization, or through martial glory. The people see outsiders as a way to learn more about the wider galaxy but are suspicious of those that wish to explore their homeworld. Many who live on Ewdenen go around the galaxy to learn and discover for the sake of self improvement and they meet people and bring them back to Ewdenen, but if an outsider who is brought back breaks the social code both the person and the outsider are banished from the planet. The people are willing to make trade deals with outsiders they are unwilling to become part of a larger faction unless they are shown that the faction has merit and embraces similar values to them[/SIZE][SIZE=9pt] this determination comes to the Sentinel of Ewdenen who is the leader of the planet as determined by the council. Anyone can become the Sentinel because the Sentinel is selected by nomination of those in the government. The Sentinel rules until they die or it is determined that they are unfit to rule the people. The council is chosen by the people based on the merit that they display. The code of conduct and importance of good behavior prevent public issues, but in private people are allowed complete freedom. All methods of artistic freedom are welcomed and encouraged so that people are best able to express emotion. People usually make yearly pilgrimages to the tree of Voel to keep in touch with the greater world. The people are raised to be adventurous and curious which make them ideal for debate and discussion with as well as journeys and adventures. Ewdenen is now a thriving world with a vibrant culture and many unexplored riches.[/SIZE]
