[SIZE=11pt]The smell of meat being roasted made Rexus salivate. Although his mother had never really cooked for him, the woman down the street, Mrs Bagsley as they called her, did. And whenever she cooked it was glorious. All the kids in about a mile radius would smell it. Of course it also ended up that she was daft, and did occasionally accidentally put inedible objects like rocks, and raw meat in her broths and stews, but the smell never had left Rexus’ psyche. As much as home had been hell, it had been where the lad had spent his tender most years.

The stormtroopers eyes wandered around the diner. The seats were a dirty leather, and the tables, despite their cleanliness, looked like they’d seen better days. Some of the wall tiling was broken, the tiles shattered totally, with the dirty, durasteel wall visible. There were some names etched into the tiles, both via markers, others through knives. In fact, even the chairs hadn’t been spared such a fate, some of which had their filling spilling out onto the floor, or hanging loosely out. The whole vibe of the place, almost made Rexus forget the food. Almost. [/SIZE]

"Tell him I'll have to get back to him on that. That requires some planning, and seeing I'm not in Tamanen right now I can't do too much. It's definitely an interesting proposition though. What you you say?" Jaya spoke to the holo on the dash of her ship as she flew through hyperspace, destination Fenessa. A debtor of the Eye thought hiding on another planet would let him get away scot-free, but that wasn't going to be the case. She was all about fair business, but she expected the same from the other party. Was that another story, which it often was, then she would solve that problem with something she very much enjoyed; violence.

"I mean, I don't have all the details just yet, and I'm not sure how large the investment will be, but from what we have now this seems like a great deal for both parties. Let me do some number crunching, and I can get back to you." The holo displayed a scrawny, blue-haired woman of about Jaya's age, wearing a tank top, simple blue jeans and an old pair of sneakers. "I'm about to revert back into realspace, so I'm going to have to cut it off. I'll call you back when I've beaten the hell out of that slimy bastard. Later Zoey!" With that, Zoey nodded. "Give him an extra punch for me, Cupcake. Peace!" The call ended and Jaya entered realspace once more, getting ready to land. She flashed a quick look to her gauntlets in the corner and smiled. Someone was about to enter a world of regret.

Once the components were deployed, the assembly of the innermost ribs began in earnest; the reactor assembly was among the first stuff to be built out of the prefabricated components Dunames purchased from one Kami Meran. In fact, while the relationship between Star Tours and Meran Mechanics dated much further back than the Hijarna Compact, which made Star Tours one of the major stakeholders in the governance of Hijarna, she is pretty much forced to use stuff from other members of the Hijarna Compact whenever possible. Then again, the Hijarna Compact didn't cover everything. Sure, hypermatter reservoirs not unlike those in Sump's orbit would be affixed later, but for now, Dunames has to watch the plumbing leading to said reservoirs being assembled while she reflects on what she did for the First Order since - Star Tours went a long way in First Order space.

"Look at all those projects: Hoth, Jiroch-Reslia, Lanteeb, Gilaria, Kaeshana..."

While Aedan Miles was off to work the crews of his ships were cheering and celebrating a good job and the income they had done. The XO of the Shinigami was laughing as he sat with the rest of the crew and joked about how he had known Aedan when he had just been starting out nothing but a frigate to his name and goals larger than anyone elses. The newer members of the clan didn't know if the man spoke the truth until he showed them a single hologram that showed an old Impetus-class frigate with a very recognizable but different at the same time. It was the clan symbol of Clan Akaata that is when they realized that some of the stories they had heard at least about Aedan were true what were they going to do to help farther the future of Clan Akaata no one was really sure.

After walking for bit the son the Kaine Zambrano paused, "y'know I haven't seen country like this since I was a boy." The Reach was beautiful, suprisingly so he thought. He offered the flask up to [member="Darth Metus"]. "Wait, ain't you married to one of my sisters?" Sal stopped a moment to think. "Izevel, yeah? Son of a gun, how's she doin'?"

He actually didn't talk with Izevel much, or at all. They weren't exactly of an agreeble personality. Then he recalled he had nieces and nephews from them and thought about his own daughter [member="Ara Ren"]. "Say, care to give a fella a tip or two? I just, see, I just." He took another swig of the moonshine. "I just found out that I'm a daddy, and this girl, this girl is grown already. How do you, what do you do there? I mean you got kids yeah?"

“Alright sir, here’s your burger, with fries.” The Twi’lek reported as she made her way to Rexus, placing down a plate filled with food onto him. The burger radiated warmth, along with the fries, made out of deep fried vegetables, and salted with cheap salt made from the extract of small avian life. The trooper chuckled.

“Mm, smells gorgeous,” He mused, before pushing his glass towards the woman, “I’d like another milkcaff,” He gestured, the glass was empty now, the bubbly suds of what remained, slowly popping, “Caramel again.” He requested, before looking down at his meal.

Now was the time to try it out. He clasped the burger with both hands, and lifted it, he wouldn’t be able to fit a whole singular face as it stood. But, he could eat away at the edges. Armed with this, he bit out of an end of it, and his eyes fluttered shut. The bloodied meat began to drip down onto Rexus’ pristine uniform, but he didn’t care. Who really could? He was in paradise right now.

Seeing everyone distracted or busy talking Aedan decided to come back later for now he decided it was time to go and get some celebratory drink himself. Waving his men after him they started to walk leaving the stealth shuttle behind as they moved. All of them laughing and talking as they shoved and jostled each other around a bit. Snorting at the actions of his men as they neared what appeared to be a small town with a decent looking cantina they headed into it taking up most of the bar and a few tables as Aedan ordered drinks for the lot of them laughing and joking along with his men as he ignored the looks from the various local people who appeared displeased and almost angry at the presence of the off worlders not that they cared.

And also getting that massive hypermatter depot built on Sump, and those shipyards over Xal 3! Even though, in these particular instances, they were but middlemen for other parties. Just now, the other people in the system may not have realized that somebody else actually wanted to get stuff done. At this stage, Dunames began getting the station's hypermatter reservoirs (the station being designed to service ships up to 200m; larger ships may not be overly likely to come over there) assembled in orbit, seeing that these prefabricated stations are for rapid deployment.

The taste of the meat was so tender. It had been treated with care and devotion by its masters, crafted into something that was truly beautiful. The crunchiness of the vegetable leaves, the taste of the sweet fruit made his tongue explode into a menagerie of taste bud fireworks. “Mm,” Rexus mused aloud, “That’s a uh, that’s a tasty burger.” He put the burger down, he had sauce dripping down his chin like an idiot, but he really couldn’t care less at this point.

He reached down, and gently cleaved a fry between his fingers. He brought it up to his open jaw, and slid it into his mouth, as one would a cigarette, and felt his jaw crunch onto it. The salty taste of the fry immediately did its work. His mouth yearned for refreshment. It hadn’t been as nice as the rest of the meal. It wasn’t up to scratch to either the kebab or the burger, but it was somewhat permissible thanks to its status as a secondary dish, rather than its position as a primary dish. It was then that Rexus realised he’d asked for mayonnaise, and began to tentatively dip his fry into that, unsure of what it would bring.

Aedan and his men had all but bought everything but the bar by this point the bar tender was wide eyed and there was dark grumbling from various corners of the room about rich arrogant off worlders. Finally one bold younger man jolted upright and started to shout and scream at Aedan and his group in the native language clearly wanting them to leave but they waved him off and sat there laughing and drinking more as they just celebrated while not an impressive haul in terms of piracy it was a good one and Aedan was already plotting a few uses for the various freighters and yachts he had gotten from it as well as the pure amount of credits along with a few paintings and the like that would be sold by a fence h knew. Finally the young man walked over and rather foolishly threw a punch at Aedan who sensing it leaned forward before spinning around and slamming his fist into the back of the mans head making his head crash into the bar top.

The taste was tangy. Tangy and sour. But not so sour as to disappoint at all. It was sour in a permissible sense. In a way that did not take away from the dish, but rather, added to it. That was what Rexus gained. The texture to the fries was added to, and the mayonnaise did more to settle the dehydration caused by the fries than to take away from the dish. The stormtrooper let the mushed, deep-fried vegetable sit in his mouth, and mull it over.
The waitress returned shortly, “Enjoying your meal sir?” She asked politely.

Rexus nodded, and immediately gestured right next to his plate for where his beverage should be placed. She complied, and returned to where she had been working, as Rexus began to slowly make an executive decision as to the quality of the dish. The fries were good he decided. And in celeberation of his deliberation, he began to shovel them into his pie hole by the half dozen.

In between this egregious display of gluttony he took sips of the milkcaff, and came to steady his dehydration. This was one hell of a meal.

Mishel found herself in the dinning room, seated next to the Grand Moff, [member="Natasi Fortan"]. She wasn't even sure if she should be seated next to her, she wasn't very important but it seemed that her seating was insistent upon those around them. Mostly the Grand Moff herself and whoever was on the other side. She watched as people gathered and looked down at the table cloth for a moment. It was smooth, smoother than the bed sheets in her dorm. And then there was a chime, no a clink.

A spoon to a glass as the daughter of the Grand Vizier stood, and gathered everyone's attention she then spoke. "Friends, neighbors, and my fellow Taloraanians, welcome to this wonderful dinner. Where we hope to bring together the First Order and Taloraan, and I'd like to begin by thanking her graciousness the Grand Moff Natasi Fortan, her ambassador Valessia Brentioch and their diplomats, [member="Madlyn Sol"]."

She then went into a full speech about the annexation and how wonderful it would be for the planet. The woman also acknowledged the unordinary absence of her father and then almost suddenly the lights went out, and the Tygaran found herself gasping for air until the lights came on. And then before all the guests, laid the daughter of the Grand Vizier, dead.

With the hypermatter reservoirs being assembled, it was now the turn to get the other systems of the station assembled. Life support, docking bays, crew quarters and all that stuff without which a trading outpost wouldn't be one. That was going to be a long day, a day where the crew will have to get stuff done on the double, she thought, while the show of those items being assembled being a point where she needed to think about opening the place at some point. While the droids and other orbital construction crew were hard at work, here was time to check on the progress made on the trade station...

"Status report"

"Reactor and hypermatter assemblies complete, life support at 37%, crew quarters at 4%"

Aedan smirked as he backed up letting the fool get back up blood leaking from his forehead as Aedan held his hands up open and a small mocking smirk on his lips gesturing for the fool to come forward and face his defeat. Ducking under a few wild swings Aedan punched twice into the man's side before spinning around and punching him in the back twice backing away with a smirk as he slapped a punch away from his face swiftly. His men started to laugh and place bets not on who would win but on how long it would take for Aedan to make a fool of the young man. He suddenly felt a sharp sting as a man from behind swung a broken bottle at him ripping through his cloths and his arm growling darkly as he leapt to the right.

Ishana smiled at the sound of the world miala, she really liked it. It was special, and sounded so good coming from Kaalia. The Balmorran shifted her weight in her seat before she suggested. "There's a diner we can stop by, make the best Gi Dumplings this side of the core, nothing's gonna beat the Mandalorian version of it but it's pretty good." And then there was the grand ceremony, or what started to be anyway.

Some fancy lady started talkin' thanking people, and Ishana sighed. "Nah, I've not ever really been impressed with the fancy types." She paused, "except the Colonel that let me have this cigar." The pilot gestured to her pocket and then sat up straight to hear the speech just as the lights went down. She too had trouble gasping for air but it was gone just as soon as the power came back up.

Then there was a commotion, and as Ishana stood on her feet. "Holy..." the woman was dead, and there hadn't been a sound at all. There was no blood either, "looks like we got ourselves a mystery." Good thing there was a policeman here, "hey you see that police captain anywhere?" Ishana asked the redhead.

Progress in the trade station's construction was as fast as was possible under these circumstances: with the ship-wide neural net system in place, the computing systems were installed at the same time as everything else was, so the installation of the ship-wide neural net was as complete as the station as a whole was. Also, since it did not have weapons hardpoints, there was no need to worry about targeting computers or targeting sensors, but there was still a need to get sensors and communications installations included, with the stuff being built like onions. Even though a Castameer tactical display may be a bit much for a station like this, it is a standard in the prefabricated stations as built by Meran Mechanics, she thought, while the brand-new sensor array is being towed towards the station under construction.

"Sensor array away"

"Good, but there's still a lot of work ahead of us"

[SIZE=11pt]The stormtrooper laid down the fries, and decided to continue eroding away at the centrepiece of the meal. The large, delicious burger, which sat in the middle of the plate. Grasping the thick, brown buns with both his hands, he pressed the large beefy dish to his mouth. He took another gargantuan mouthful, and slowly mashed it, and crushed it beneath his teeth and jaws, it was a glorious dish, something that was well and truly deserved his full attention. He began to swallow large chunks of mashed up beef, now unrecogniseable to what it looked like as apart of the larger meal.

The stormtrooper greedily began to shovel fries into his gaping mouth by the dozen now. It was as if something deep inside him had become emergent. As if he had somehow activated some form of primal sense, as if Rexus had finally relented to some animal state. Removing the straw from his glass, he began to gulp down his drink. He felt satisfied! He felt alive! He felt like he was about to piss himself![/SIZE]

Aedan's men were laughing and joking from the bar about Aedan getting old and letting his guard down for someone to be able to sneak up on him like that. Snorting dismissively at them he drew a simple knife spinning it in his hand. Holding it up he tossed it to one of his men holding up his bare hands again smirking darkly as the first man picks up a bottle breaking it to use as a makeshift shiv of his own ready to fight. The bar keep was looking back and forth worriedly he wasn't used to fights this bad the man who had walked in with a large group didn't appear worried instead he looked bored almost and the other local bar goers were starting to leave not wanting to get involved.

With [member="Jacques"], Orentho and his comrade were able to infiltrate a new facility. Their mission had changed slightly. They were now here to make the place ready for the First Order. Word had it was that Central Command were looking to put down a modular fortress here. "Do I stand out?" He asked of his partner with a cheeky smile, he stood out and he knew it.

The two found themselves well away from their original objective. Tasked with chartering transportation to a city. Charon and their bioengineering would prove useful and they held another secret here. Void Stone. Or so intel suggested, "c'mon lets get to it the city's up north here." Kayri III was a little bleak, a little cold but it was, what it was and the agent had a mind to do the job.

Now that the innermost layers of the trade station were built, the work focused on the outer layers such as the crew quarters, the visitor accommodations as well as the stevedoring equipment for the ships passing through Fenessa. It was remarkable that they were able to get such prefab modules for quick construction, and Dunames will be grateful for Meran Mechanicsm, as she was for every project since Hijarna where prefabs were authorized. But, as Mirial proved it, such an attitude can be a severe liability when the prefabs do not respect the local customs, and after a couple of run-ins, she would need to mind the local customs and specifications.

"In a day or two the station may open, boss"

"So Meran Mechanics did not lie: these things truly were there for rapid deployment!"
