  • Combat Function: They provide cover fire and aid in ground warfare, during potential attacks and sieges. Operates strictly as an extension of Kahne and Aiden.

Strengths:
  • The retinue continues to possess an exceptionally disciplined core, built upon decades of service under Kahne's leadership. Although many of the original veterans have retired or passed on, those who remain serve as invaluable mentors, preserving the traditions, tactics, and values that defined the unit from its earliest days. Their experience ensures that institutional knowledge is not lost, even as the organization evolves.

A younger generation has steadily filled the ranks, bringing renewed energy, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace modern tactics and technology. While they lack the years of battlefield experience possessed by their predecessors, they benefit from rigorous instruction under seasoned veterans who have survived some of the Alliances most devastating conflicts. This blend of experience and youthful determination allows the retinue to remain an effective and respected fighting force.

The unit also retains a deep sense of loyalty and cohesion. Service alongside Kahne, which is then passed through Aiden is viewed as both an honor and a responsibility, fostering a culture where discipline, sacrifice, and mutual trust are valued above individual glory. Even as personnel change, these ideals continue to unite successive generations.
Weaknesses:
  • The greatest challenge facing the retinue is the gradual loss of its founding generation. Retirement, age, and the natural passing of many veteran soldiers have left gaps that cannot simply be replaced through recruitment. Their experience was forged through years of hardship and countless campaigns, something that cannot be replicated in training alone.

As younger personnel continue to enter the ranks, the burden placed upon the remaining veterans has grown considerably. They must not only fulfill their operational duties but also devote significant time to instructing, mentoring, and evaluating the next generation. Until these recruits gain meaningful combat experience, the overall effectiveness of the retinue can fluctuate during prolonged or especially demanding campaigns.

The transition between generations also presents a cultural challenge. While the younger soldiers are capable and eager to prove themselves, they have not yet shared the decades of hardship that once created an almost instinctive understanding among the original retinue. Building that same level of trust, cohesion, and battlefield intuition will require time, shared sacrifice, and experience that cannot be hurried.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The majority of these individuals served alongside Kahne during the days of the Knightfall Alliance, when they fought the First Order on Lothal. Kahne personally aided and saved many of those who would eventually become part of his retinue, forging bonds that extended far beyond simple military service. From that point forward, many remained at his side through nearly every major conflict he faced.

Together, they endured the First and Second Cataclysms on Naboo before following Kahne into his later ventures with the Royal Naboo Republic. Years of fighting beside one another created an extraordinary degree of trust and coordination among the veterans. They learned each other's strengths, weaknesses, and instincts so thoroughly that their movements in battle often seemed almost effortless, making the original retinue an exceptionally formidable fighting force.

Time, however, has begun to bring that era to an end. Age, retirement, and the passing of several longtime members have steadily reduced the number of veterans still serving within the retinue. Most eventually chose to lay down their weapons and spend their remaining years in the peace they had fought so long to protect. A small number remained beside Kahne, and after he died during the Netherworld event, that same devotion was passed onto his son, Aiden Porte

Their places have gradually been filled by a younger generation of soldiers who now carry the responsibility of continuing what the veterans began. These newer members possess considerable potential, but they lack the experience and instinctive cohesion of their predecessors and require extensive training before they can truly match them. The veterans who remain have therefore taken on another responsibility: passing their knowledge, traditions, and hard earned lessons to those who will one day inherit the retinue entirely.

Hello!

I will be taking care of your submission today. As I am a trainee judge, this will require a two-step approval. Thank you in advance for your patience!

I have just a few things that need to be addressed before passing this along. I've detailed them as follows:
  • Links to the character bios of Kahne Porte and Aiden Porte in the affiliation category, as required by the NPC Combat Unit Template.
  • Unfortunately, I can not accept the permissions for the weapons, as this unit is not affiliated with the Royal Naboo Republic. I need you to either obtain permission to use the weapons from the creator (Lorn Reingard) or update the unit's affiliation to include the Royal Naboo Republic (with a corresponding link to the Royal Naboo Republic faction page).
As a sidenote, you are covered for the image source. I did my own search through Tineye reverse image search and Google search by image function in order to look for a source and could not find one.

Once these changes are complete, I will pass this through. Thank you!
