Private Evening The Odd Ones Out

Prophet of Bogan
The wide and expansive galaxy was a dangerous place. Many planets could go dark for any reason, or at the very least certain parts of them, and some may not even bat an eye as to why. Pirate raids, some collateral damage from whatever war was happening nearby, civil war, anything could be the cause. Slave raids as well were an all too common occurrence in many parts of the galaxy, and unfortunately for the denizens of the galaxy, it wasn't simple pirates looking for slaves this time.

A handful of ships that appeared no more than another raider party sped away from the site of their latest haul, their cargo bays full of the few survivors that were deemed good enough to be brought back. But Alisteri knew the presence of the Dark Side when it was apparent. Their simple exteriors hid crews loyal to the Twice Emperor, eagerly fulfilling their dark purpose and bringing more unwilling lambs to the slaughter for their master. Thankfully their mission wouldn't go unopposed this day. "They're preparing to enter hyperspace High Priest, orders?" The masked Knight stared out at the small fleet from the bridge of his frigate Altorius, his gaze having long since turned into a glare at the sight.

"Open fire, target the engines." Without further delay the frigate surged forward from its hiding place amidst an asteroid field, the calm space between it and the fleet soon becoming alight with cannon fire as the frigate opened up on the unaware transports. The few fighters the cultist possessed sped out of the hangar and race towards the ships, the surprise attack soon becoming a battle as they aimed for the weapons of their enemies.

"Any signs of our reinforcements? My master promised assistance on this mission." There was a pause before one of the bridge crew nodded. "Yes sir, it appears that a ship is emerging from hyperspace nearby." The masked Knight nodded and turned way from the battle to take his leave from the bridge, trusting his crew and the captain could finish the fight without his direct commands. "Good. Transmit any messages to my personal communicator and tell the fighters to disable the transports' weapons. We're going to board them."

Another mission from Ophidia. This time Dvasia was sent to help her other apprentice and fellow Tsis'kal, Alisteri, to weaken Kainite forces. As he blasted back into real space he saw his ally's ship in front of him and the Kainate ships in front of that. The ship he was using was an Arcon Class Utility Vessel, a ship used by the Silver Jedi Concord. He stole it from his former master after he murdered him for his lies and betrayal. It was fast, with adequate firepower and was easily modified for stealth.

"This is Dvasia of the Tsis'kal, seeking to board your vessel. The Pale Assassin sent me to assist you." The apprentice said, sending a holomessage to his knight counterpart.

The Arcon Class zoomed toward the larger Tsis'kal ship, aiming for the hangar. Dvasia might as well meet his mission partner and coordinate their attack. Their targets appeared to be Kainate slaver ships. He sensed they were full to the brim with high quality chattel.

Coming from Nar Shaddaa he saw the way the Hurts and other aliens treated humans. They'd enslave them all if they could have. Luckily during his childhood Dvasia's mother gave his father enough child support to keep him from that fate. They could just pay them to go away.

He himself didn't know how he felt about slavers or enslavement, but the Kainate was a rival faction, damaging the balance needed to keep the Sith Order alive. The Kainate and Eternalists we're going to tear the Sith Order apart. They had to be weakened and put in their place whenever possible. They needed to be forced into peace or worn down until the Tsis'kal we're strong enough to take over. Their master, Darth Ophidia, had ambitions to be empress.

He himself wanted to lead as the ultimate power in the galaxy, but he needed her until the time he could surpass her, when she had taught him all she knew. Until that time he'd serve her ends, fuel her ambitions. It was his duty as her apprentice and so it would be done.

The Arcon touched down in the hangar of Alisteri's ship. Landing skids and boarding ramp descended and Ophidia's newest apprentice stepped off his ship.

"I'm on board. Shall we rendezvous on the bridge?" Dvasia called again from his holo-communicator to Alisteri's.

The masked Knight strode down the hallway of his ship, flanked by a pair of his Legionnaires as he plucked his holocommunicator from his belt and accepted the message. "Excellent. I hope you don't mind that we started without you, our prey was going to cut and run otherwise." The other apprentice was welcome to land of course, he was expected after all.

Alisteri himself was almost giddy at the assignment he had now undertaken. Striking out against the masses of Carnifex, bringing their slaves to freedom in the arms of the Tsis'kal, it was almost perfect. The years that he had been in service to the Sith Empire so long ago had been hard ones. All in all he was cleaning up the mess that Carnifex left behind, with half of the galaxy at their throats and said former emperor too busy building the Malsheem to properly help rectify his mistakes.

But now it was time for vengeance.

The hangar of the Altorius was far from empty when Dvasia landed, a couple boarding shuttles and additional Legionnaires and technicians gave the hangar a flurry of activity as the battle continued on. "Don't bother, I'm already here." Alisteri clicked off the device as the door before him open and he stepped into the hangar bay. His gaze landed on his Tsis'kal counterpart and he wasted little time in crossing over to meet with the other Sith. Never before had he met another of his master's apprentices. He was eager to see what made this one tick.

"Dvasia. It's a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance. I am Alisteri Haxim, welcome aboard the Altorius." The Knight offered a respectful nod and his guards gave a small bow as well. "I'm sure our master has told you of our mission? To wipe out these disgusting slavers and weaken the Twice Failed Emperor?"

"Don't worry about it. The mission comes first, we can't have them escaping." Dvasia replied before his ship touched down.

He started walking to the Bride when he heard Alisteri say he was already there.he watched him step through the doors and walk toward him flanked by legionnaires.

"Alisteri. Nice to meet you as well. I've heard much about you from our master." The assassin said extending a hand to shake.

He sounded friendly, but truthfully Dvasia was a little bitter to hear his master speak so much about the man and so little about himself.

"Yep. I've been briefed on the situation. Shall we get to crushing these Kainite losers? You have boarding craft right?"

Alisteri nodded and took the offered hand, giving it a firm shake. "Surprising, I've never known her to brag." He crossed his arms behind his back and nodded to the transport ships waiting on the other side of the hangar.

"They're not meant for it but they'll work fine all the same. My soldiers are loaded up and ready to go, they have their orders." So long as his fighters and the Altorius did their jobs, the Kainite ships defenses would all be disabled and left helpless in space. He moved around the other Sith and began walking towards the transports. Time was of the essence.

"We only have so much time before someone realizes their little slaverunners haven't returned or reported in yet. We had best get going and finish off these misguided fools."

"Then let's get going." Dvasia said, heading for the nearest transport. "I'm flying!" He said, ordering the pilot out of their seat.

The ship started up and the engines roared. Dvasia looked back at Alisteri and nodded his head as he flew them out of the hanger and into the void of space. Another transport went out right in front of them. As they came ever closer to one of the enemy transports the Sith apprentice caused the engines of the other Tsis'kal ship to explode with the Force, sending them careening towards the enemy ship.

It clipped the Kainite slave ship, exploding on contact. It made a hole for Alisteri, Dvasia and the rest of their allies to get inside. The Tsis'kal transport lined up with the Kainite one and stopped so they could board.

Dvasia turned around in his seat, "Ready to go? It's time to teach these punks a lesson about unbalancing the Sith Order."

He got up from his seat and ran toward the boarding ramp he'd just opened and jumped out, across space, onto the enemy ship. He ignited his lightsaber and scanned for Kainite opposition with fiery eyes.

"Who's wants to be first to meet their god?"

Alisteri and his guards wasted no time in climbing aboard the transport alongside his fellow Sith, quickly seating themselves alongside the Legionnaires already seated. He returned the nod before looking to his soldiers. "Remember, these are slaver heretics. They want to die for their master so we'll do just that. No prisoners. Only the enslaved and ourselves will leave these ships alive."

As his Legion nodded in understanding the entrance for them was made and they readied themselves as the boarding ramp opened. The masked Knight stood up as Dvasia passed him and he drew his lightsaber. He turned to the original pilot, which had quickly gotten into a seat after being kicked out of the pilot seat, and gestured to the cockpit.

"Find a place to land and drop off the Legionnaires, we'll get their attention away from you."

Without another word he ran and leapt onto the Kainite transport, following after his fellow apprentice. The crew aboard the vessel was quick to respond, armed guards and crew alike rushed to take their aim at the pair of Sith.

"Wanna see who can kill more?" He ignited his weapon and nodded to Dvasia before charging forward and thrusting his weapon straight through the nearest Kainite, lightning arcing from his free hand to scorch another.

The junior apprentice chuckled as his senior ordered no prisoners be taken and smiled back as he asked if he wanted to compete over their kill counts. Some Kainite troopers aboard the transport began firing their blasters at the two Sith that boarded their ship. Dvasia adjusted his lightsaber to reverse Shien grip, deflecting every shot towards him back to sender. He hit three troopers in their forehead, chest and neck. All went down, never to rise again.

The Kainites we're using the haul of slaves as meat shields. Dvasia gripped one of them with the Force, lifting them up and pulling them towards him. He stabbed his lightsaber into their gut as they sped toward him, slashing after the stab, freeing his blade as he gutted them.

The younger assassin then fell into Form IV as he spun horizontally toward a Kainite. He flew harmlessly over some slaves before cutting their overseer in half down the middle from the scalp all the way down.

"I got five already!"

Just as he was wondering if there were any Sith onboard two of them ran out, seemingly from the cockpit. One ran towards himself, the other towards Alisteri. Dvasia was quickly locked in a saber block, looking back to see if his counterpart was faring any better.

He pulled his blade and deflected an incoming bolt of blaster fire, leaping over the two corpses he had just made to decapitate one of the more alert guards. Like an expert he dodged, ducked, or deflected every shot fired his way as he cleaved into another trooper. "Four!" Even as he spoke he launched another bolt of lightning at a trooper, quickly grabbing the leg of the corpse at his feet before chucking the body at one of the groups of enemies.

This was far from the first battle thar he had ever been in, years of frontline combat had made him adept at fighting most standard troopers. The relatively close quarters was just another advantage he had over the Kainites.

The sight of their slaves being used as shields only served to spur him onward, sheer wrath exuding from every movement as he sent a couple more troopers flying into a wall with a quick gesture of his hand. It wasn't too often that he was so satisfied from the simple act of killing anymore. Today was an exception.

His gaze snapped to the two Kainite Sith as they ran from the cockpit, quickly shifting to face the one charging at him. The Knight went on the offensive and charged at his opponent, countering the other Sith's charge with a slash that blocked his blade as he swung a punch aimed at the Sith's gut. Hopefully these ones would be a challenge.

The junior apprentice rolled his eyes as Alisteri shouted out his kill count.

"Guess I'll just have to step my game up." He said smirking, as he flicked out the hidden blade in his left wrist gauntlet.

Dvasia was still in a lightsaber lock with the Kainite Sith, but he knew how to get out of these. He pushed his blade against theirs a second time, causing them to to stagger back slightly, then he slashed through their gut. The enemy Sith fell to their knees and then died on the floor.

More troopers confronted him afterwards, only to get stabbed underneath the neck, have their throats slit and heads nearly torn off by a shikkar blade. Bored of the remaining targets in the room, the younger assassin ran down a hallway connecting to the rest of the ship. He encountered two more Sith and quickly dispatched them this time.

His blade rose and fell, slashing his opponent both ways, deeper the second time. Then the fledgling Sith spun the other directing, slashing yet another Sith across the gut before moving on down the hall, not even bothering to wait for his rival.

"Eleven!" He just called out arrogantly.

It didn't take long for Alisteri to put down the Sith trying to cut his head off, the gut punch making the Kainite stumble back before he plunged his lightsaber straight through his opponent. He had little time for some heretic after all. Instead he turned around as the troopers that had been knocked down by their comrade's corpse stood up and attempted to take aim at him.

They both managed to fire a shot but the Knight effortlessly deflected them right back to kill their shooters. "Ten!" He yelled out in return as he strode away from where they had made their entrance, stepping over the bodies in his path. They still had the rest of the ship to clear out before they could move on to the next, and he had no idea how many Kainites were aboard.

It didn't matter too much in the end, they would die all the same.

He tapped on his helmet's commlink as he walked, holding his lightsaber out defensively just in case. :"Legionnaires, report.": It didn't take long for him to get a response, as well as getting shot at from further down the hall that he had been walking down. :"Landing now High Priest, hangar seems clear for the moment.":

Alisteri deflected the blaster bolt into the wall and sprinted forward, slamming into the trooper as he peeked out from a doorway and slamming him into the ground with a sickening crack. :"Good, fan out and kill whoever isn't in a cage or bound up. This ship is crawling with enemies.":
