The Espada-class Stealth Transport is the designation given to vessel created by the collaborative efforts of Arakyd Industries and the Incom Corporation. Drawing up their specialties in starship design, the two members of the Techno Union conceived a heavy dropship with the role of covert, troop insertion in mind. To this end, the Espada-class was devised very similar to the existing Low-Altitude Assault Transport/Xerius in popular usage by the Confederacy. Composed of layers of reinforced durasteel with glasteel ports, the vessel is rather hardy on the field of battle and can withstand a moderate sum of punishment in the event of a shield droppage. However, it's strength lies in the stealth measures incorporated into its design.
Primarily, it boasts a stygium cloaking device, which is the mainstay of the stealth measures. Alongside this are thrust trace dampers and a gravitic modular provided by Incom. With these in place, the Espada-class Stealth Transports enjoy the ability to deploy troops through slipping under the radar. However, the trade-off comes in the fact that, in order to incorporate the stealth countermeasures, the complement capacity of the Heavy Dropship design was omitted. As a whole, the vessel can ferry troops and troops alone, despite being of a class where the ferrying of Walkers is possible.
