The son of an established officer, Errix was largely comfortable in the system throughout his childhood. Able to deflect most of the infighting between the families away from himself while attempting to finish his junior officer program through the academy.
He was near to completing when his father failed in a most spectacular way, leading his family name to be dressed with shame and stripping of rank.
Made to watch his late father burn, the young man took on the mantle of patriarch in his family, as the direct line of ascendancy to his fathers holdings. With this title of patriarch to his line came the embrace from a seemingly benevolent being unbeknownst to the young man.
His twin uncles schemed, attempting to remove him from this seat even before he had taken it, one trying to woo his mother with the other appealing to his grandfather to see reason on the situation.
Errix put a sharp end to the question of his ability when, upon learning of their plans, challenged them in their familial gathering to show what successes they had garnered for the family in their own time, and with their own capabilities. They could provide nothing without their elder brother, and Errix earned the enmity of his uncles all the while securing his seat at the head of the table.
Not that the seat held much weight outside of his house and the family's holdings. The disgraced son of a failed commander, his path forward required him to tread lightly, or completely decimate the families around him in terms of skill to earn his families rightful place once more among the noble and capable names that served their empire.
Still a young low blood, he has much to prove to those around him in which his short stature does nothing to help. Something of a mocking point alongside his already disgraced line.
