GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Elzeri
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Homeworld: N/A
  • Language: Galactic Standard, Elzerish
  • Average Lifespan: 470-500 years
  • Estimated Population: Rare
  • Description: The Elzeri are a near-human race that live for incredible periods of time compared to humans, their probable ancestors (who were believed to be a mixing of human and Sephi). The Elzeri are distinguished by their incredible beauty, lithe and petite frames, and knack for engineering.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type 1
  • Average height of adults: Around 1.5 meters, or 5 feet.
  • Average length of adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Pale Caucasian to Snow White, and dark tan
  • Hair color: White, Blonde, Red, Light Brown
  • Distinctions: Elzeri are incredibly beautiful, Imperial Biologists suggested that this is the result of selected breeding, but no known records of such programs or initiatives exist. Their beauty comes from their naturally lithe and petite forms, it is actually impossible for an Elzeri to become 'well rounded'. The Elzeri also age incredibly gracefully, only becoming aged and wrinkled 4-5 years before they die of natural causes. And a smaller distinction of the Elzeri between them and humans is the pointed ears, as well as their weight, as they are much lighter than humans.
  • Races: There are no biological differences, but due to the Elzeri being divided into a few dozen nomadic tribes, cultural differences can be quite intense
  • Strengths:
Knack for Mechanics: Elzeri mind's are naturally designed for mechanical thinking, and find the field incredibly easy to learn and master.

Agility: What the Elzeri lacks in strength and height, they certainly make up for in speed and reflexes, on average faster than the average human.

  • Weaknesses:
Light Bones: Elzeri bones are incredibly light, whether this is due to the lower gravity of their old homeworld, or a genetic mutation is unknown. But it has also led to them being much lighter in weight than humans.

Physically Weak: Elzeri do not grow muscles as easily or as efficiently as humans, and what muscles they do develop are lean muscle, not large and bulky, Thus they are not as physically strong on average.
CULTURE
  • Diet: What ever is edible to humans is edible to them.
  • Communication: Galactic Standard
  • Technology level: Galactic Average?
  • Religion/Beliefs: The Elzerish have a variety of beliefs and religions, each tribe usually having their own or something similar to another which is usually somehow related to them.
  • General behavior: Elzeri are a nomadic hunter gatherer people, and their behavior varies from tribe to tribe but there are some similarities. For example, they tend to be much more serene and logical, prefering their minds over emotions. One extremely common trait amongst all Elzeri is their asthetic taste, beauty is of key importance to their culture, what beauty is will differ from tribe to tribe, but their ships are usually heavily decorated, both inside and out, a sense of pride for each tribe. Elzeri have also been known to use bows and arrows, and have even developed arrows with energy at the end, similar to slug thrower rounds.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Elzeri were once a great and prosperous nation under the Republic, and their fleets and technology were rather advanced for the time. Yet, when the Empire came into power they quickly became an oppressed people, and many were sold into slavery to the hutt and pirate clans due to their beauty and aesthetic taste. And unluckily, the Elzeri people threw a rebellion just as the Death Star was in full operation, and it was used to destroy their four homeworlds. It was in the time after this that some Elzeri threw off their shackles of slavery and became nomadic peoples, exploring the galaxy, developing cultures of their own and were soon known as galactic nomads instead of the great race they once were. These tribes attempted to free their still imprisoned brethren from slavery, many died in the process, but slowly they reclaimed their people.

Now these flotillas endlessly travel across the galaxy, fleets of dozens of ships, most of which house civilian population. Most of these flotillas of nomadic tribesmen often sell their assault ships for mercenary work in order to gain food, resources, and money to help expand their tribes. And these flotilla are not exclusively Elzeri, although in order to become apart of their flotilla you must swear a blood oath, and upon breaking the oath there are dire consequences. And the Elders/Dictator/People usually only accept humans and near-humans into their midst.

These tribes also have one defining factor. Due to the restricted gene-pool, some tribes have developed unique mutations, such as the Syl'Heia tribe, some of their individuals who are held in high reverence have slited pupils similar to a snake or cat. These mutations are rarely anything major, and are usually from an outside individual who was once let into the tribe with some form of major gene that suppresses other genes. However, this limited gene-pool has some problems. These tribes rarely have new members and thus the gene-pool stagnates.. causing accidental inbreeding and negative mutations, making them more prone to disease. However, actions have been taken to 'diversify' the gene pool by marrying off members from your flotilla to another when you meet up, usually by accident. Although this sort of gene-trading is extremely rare now adays.

I like this, just one question for you. Would the small population they have, and the pretty reclusive nature they appear to have, cause any inbreeding? Not on a drastic level, but like the sort many Amish communities suffer over many years. This could cause various genetical quarks from happening, if not making some progessively more sickly. It would be an interesting weakness for some of the species to have, though I won't require it personally; just a thought.

Tag me when you've decided on it, or otherwise. I'll wait until then!
