SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Tank. Very high resistance to lightsabres.
  • Use of Agrinium, a Copper Faraday Cage and various items ensure that the armour grants excellent protection against ion and EMP and electrical currents such as lightning. Strong electrical currents can obviously still damage the wearer and items like the energy shield have a limit regarding how much they can absorb before they give up the ghost.
  • Various gadgets for Enyo to play with, including an in-built holographic disguise matrix suite that can allow Enyo to assume the appearance of another being.
WEAKNESSES
  • Joints are more vulnerable to strikes as they lack the heavy plating to ensure mobility.
  • The armour is heavy. The weight itself is not problem for Enyo per se since she has an HRD body, but the armour prohibits sneaking around. It is not the kind of armour for Ataru leaps and flips. Moreover, it is difficult to move in muddy terrain, swamps and so on.
  • The holographic disguise matrix is sophisticated, but while the image it projects it projects to others is visually virtually perfect and can fool most sensors, it is still simply a hologram. Electrical currents such as Force Lightning or electromagnetic pulse grenades can interfere with the projection. A holodisruptor can, as the name implies, disrupt the projection. Moreover, it must be kept in mind that while the device enables Enyo to alter her appearance, this obviously does not give her insight into how the person she is trying to pass as behaves. Furthermore, the illusion is adjusted to match her height and build, so discrepancies may occur.
  • Susceptible to cryoban attacks. Intense cryogenic burst can inflict significant damage upon the armour. Enyo has a Terminatrix body and cryoban is not good for robotics.
DESCRIPTION

Enyo straddles the line between machine and organic. Her brain box is encased in an HRD body and kept alive solely through twisted science. She can eat and drink, but it is only a simulation to blend in. She does not sleep, just power down an hour every day to recharge. In many ways, she is more machine than woman, despite retaining a number of human characteristics.

The suit is designed to reflect this duality and compensate for some of the weaknesses of metal endoskeleton. Much to Enyo's annoyance, her posse has dubbed it the Ironskin Battle Armour. Regardless, it is optimised for frontline combat. Enyo wears it when she expects a slugfest and doesn't bother with being sneaky. The most protected portion is the helmet, which is only natural because Enyo's skull contains her brain box. While said skull is made of phrik, significant damage could still negatively affect it and if Enyo's brain box is taken out of commission, it's game over. Thus the helmet is particularly reinforced against kinetic damage, ion, EMP and electricity.

Enyo depends on her electronics to survive, and so her suit is designed to protect them. Copper Faraday cage, Agrinium, Fused Quartz Crystalline Mensh and items such as an Ionization Buffer provide very good protection against the traditional weaknesses of any Cyborg or Droid body. This obviously does not equate to immunity. Ion attacks may still short out less critical systems for a short duration, and continuous bombardment will have an effect. Moreover, the protection does not enable Enyo to tank an ion cannon blast, an EMP bomb or similar. Enyo's peculiar nature is reflected by the fact that she has dispensed with some 'non-essential' or 'inefficient' support systems. To be precise, while the suit can be fully sealed, it has no rebreather, internal air supply or oxygen tanks, because Enyo does not breathe. Air seal still prevents liquids, gas and so on from leaking into the suit.

A temperature regulator allows it to be used in virtually any climate. A thin layer of thermal gel helps out against blaster and slugthrower attacks. Combined with foam sealant this allows small holes in the armour to automatically reseal assuming the damage is not too extnesive. Furthermore, a power armour liner endows the suit with some resistance to kinetic and blast impacts, along with heat, cold and corrosives. It also helps against poisons, but since Enyo cannot be poisoned anyway, that point is moot. Electromagnetic soles help her manoeuvre in in zero or light gravity.

The helmet houses a variety of gadgets. Eye movements and vocal commands shift through the data streams of the HUD. Alternately, Enyo can also use her cybernetic systems or technopathic talents to achieve this. She receives readouts on the state of her armour and her cybernetic body, making it easier for her to keep track of damage and needed repairs. The helmet's sensors and scanners provide the HUD with data on the surrounding area. It features an Active Penetrating Scanner, which is comprised of infrared, sonar, radar and x-ray scanners. The helmet has a sensor range of about two hundred meters. It is able to penetrate several walls of permacrete or duasteel. Other systems aid in acquiring targets when visibility is poor, such as when it is very dark, foggy or rainy.

The Multi-Spectral Target Assessor provides manifold data to improve her accuracy with ranged weapons. Examples would be height, current speed in regards to the user, range, range to target after a projectile's travel time and current direction of travel. However, it is only capable of being used on a small number of targets, about ten. Anything more and it has trouble tracking or sensing threats. Thus it is less useful in big crowds. The helmet's systems also help with long range targeting and provide information on potential targets. Enyo is able to interface these systems with her cybernetics. Moreover, an internal weapons' targeting system links the weapons' systems to display fire vector and range data to the HUD. It also places cross hairs in the field of vision of the user. A copper faraday cage protects the helmet's sensitive systems and thus Enyo's brainbox.

By the standards of phrik armour, which tends to be quite light, the suit is rather heavy. Enyo has an HRD body, which means she can bear the weight. However, she will not be pulling off any fancy acrobatics while wearing the suit. Moreover, it makes her unable to sneak up on anyone, as they will hear and probably see her coming. In addition, it is awkward in muddy terrain, swamps and so on. The latter increases a weaknes Enyo's Droid body already possesses, as she finds it difficult to traverse such areas due to her endoskeleton's weight. On the flip side, the added bulk makes it more difficult to knock her over.

Sorry for missing that. In the light of the various items the armour has to ward it against electrical currents (e.g. Absorbelt, Capacitane Shield, Fused Quartz Crystalline Mesh and Faraday cage) would a High rating be acceptable?

With the caveat that strong electrical currents can obviously still damage the wearer and items like the Absorbelt have a limit regarding how much they can absorb before they give up the ghost.

Completed edits. Submission is ready to be moved for judging.

Summary:

Fixed broken links, updated special features, materials, strengths and weaknesses and description. Rebalanced resistance ratings to conform with new Factory standards. Added permissions.

Gotta protect that brain box.

Looks good, but I've got a few minor things I'd like to look at/point out before approving this.
  • What do you mean by 'pineal eye' under Special Features, Sensors?
  • 'Individual Field Disruptor' is listed twice. I figured you might like to fix that.
  • Likewise in regards to the last paragraph, whose font is smaller than the rest of the submission.
Naturally, only the first point really needs an answer. Do what you want with the other two.

Removed extra field disruptor and made the font consistent.

Regarding the Pineal Eye, it's an eye sensor that detects thermal output, much like a pit viper. However, I've removed it from the sub since the other doodads make it kinda redundant.
