  • Effective Range: Average (500 meters)
  • Rate of Fire: Extreme
  • Damage Output: Very Low
  • Recoil: Low
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Pulse Cannon based tech, means Plasma bolts travel much faster than normal
  • Deadly Accuracy
  • low recoil
  • Extreme fire rate
  • Comes with both Bacta Source Power Cells and Backpack generators designed for the weapon, converting the weapon to stun
  • Chaingun Power cell can be swapped out for standard heavy blaster power cell
  • No overheating due to alloy composite
  • Can be carried by lone personnel or hooked to back pack generators or stationary ones giving it unlimited ammunition. Due to low power consumption, back pack generators can be smaller than normal, about the size of an actual backpack that is only medium sized.
  • Cheap to manufacture and easy to repair
  • Capable of working in multiple environments
  • Extremely difficult to damage, to the point it's casing can resist a few direct blows from a lightsaber
  • Plasma Bolts can cause extreme pain and can superheat armor on the impact point, especially when the fire rate and the projectiles above average speed also become a factor
  • Plasma bolts make it could for both organics and droids
  • Can be fired in Single, full auto, or twenty five shot burst
  • Can be set up for remote control functions in booby-traps or ambushes, on turret plat forms. Can be set up as a side mount in gunships, a turret mounting on a tank, or even as an armament on walker type units
  • Power Cell based off a Clone Marine Chaingun, meaning its ammunition eventually regenerates (Albeit Slowly)
  • Comes with Miniature Droideka Bubble Shield, which projects a high strength bubble shield in a four meter radius around the user that lasts twenty seconds
  • Can fire underwater due to using rifle technology taken from Scuba Troopers rifles
STRENGTHS
  • Multipurpose: This Weapon is not only designed for lone infantry use, it can be installed in combat vehicles as side mounts or standard armaments, such as tanks, combat landspeeders, aerial gunships, walkers, or even starfighters. It can be fitted to heavy turret mounts and set to fire on its own or directly control it from remote
  • Zoom: Due to being essentially a heavy Pulse Cannon, it's plasma bolts travel much faster than average, and since it's based on Clone Marine Chaingun technology, in addition to its bolts naturally traveling faster, it also has an extreme fire rate, making it potentially difficult to dodge in combat
  • Variety: It can be set to single, twenty five shot burst fire, and full auto. Can be fitted with slings, scopes, tripods, lasers and other combat sights of a dizzying variety. It's standard chaingun Power cell can be swapped out with a standard heavy blaster power cell
  • Industrial Strength: It's alloy composite renders it able to function in nearly any kind of environmental terrain, including extremely hot ones, or acidic ones. Desert, Arctic, Jungle, Swamp, Urban, Waterproof. Only the harshest toughest environments can truly pose at threat to it, and it can even fire underwater due to using technology from the Rifles of Clone SCUBA Troopers, a modified collimator barrel array
  • Recharge: It's standard power cell is based off the Clone Marine Chaingun Power Source, meaning that the power cell slowly recharges either after it's been completely expended or it has gone a solid thirty seconds to without firing. Theoretically, a Sentry equipped with three power cells can keep up near constant suppressive fire provided they can stay behind cover. It's Low power consumption means a user can put on much smaller back pack generators to hook it up to. Hooking up to generators, whether stationary or mobile, gives it unlimited ammo
  • Mobility: Though heavy, it's not to the point that a lone sentry or crew of two cannot easily carry, and it's compact profile means it can be stored and set up in a variety of locations. It's Low power consumption means much smaller back pack generators can be used, rendering a user slightly more mobile.
  • Ease of combat: The weapon allows a variety of tactics, from either Lone Sentries sniping far off figures with burst fire or crews raining suppressive fire from stationary or mobile positions
  • No overheat: The Alloy prevents overheating even on full auto
  • Low Recoil: It's weight and the weak power of its bolts make it's recoil Low even on full auto
  • Ammo: High ammo count of 3500
  • Pinpoint: DC-15A barrel tech give it pinpoint accuracy
  • Mercy: It's Power Cells , Backpack generators, and stationary generators can all be swapped out with Bacta Source Variants, turning it into a stun weapon
  • Shielded: Possesses a miniaturized Droideka Bubble Shield, enabling high resistance to blaster and projectile fire for twenty seconds, and the rifle can fire from the interior of the shield
  • Plasma: It's plasma shots can superheat an area on impact, causing extreme pain, and can possibly melt armor over time. Getting a shower of such shots has a chance of melting flesh and metal. Just as useful against Droids as Organics
WEAKNESSES
  • Large: Lone users, and stationary targets stick out like a sore thumb
  • Heavy: Lugging it around WILL tire you out especially if alone
  • Long recharge: After depletion, the chaingun Power cell takes a full minute to recharge, which could pose a problem if it's your only power cell in a survival situation
  • Slower: If just using the power cell the user moves with twenty percent less speed. If using a medium size back pack generator it's at forty percent less speed. If using a large back pack generator the user is at sixty percent less speed
  • Repair times: The weapon size and length means repairs take longer despite their ease
  • Stun, No Kill: If using Bacta Source Power cells or generators, the weapon can't kill
  • Stun, standard reload: Naturally, due to the stun ammo being derived from Bacta, the ammo doesn't recharge and you must find either new power cells or generators, limiting the stun ammo to base defense or certain sections of ships or in the hands of private security
  • Bubble Shield Recharge: The Bubble Shield takes thirty seconds to recharge.
  • Bubble Shield Fire Rate: Due to the bubble shield feeding off the same power source as the rifle, the rifle fire rate drops to single shot very low fire when the shield is in use Even after the shield is expended, the user is locked in single shot fire for up to a full minute during and after it's use. Also, the shield cannot be used underwater
  • Rate Drainage: At full auto, the weapon drains in about several seconds, meaning it's often better to use the burst fire function to conserve ammo
  • Indoor issues: The best use indoors is firing down long passages with no cover or interiors to flee to, or out of windows. Not good for clearing rooms unless you wear armor as a precaution
  • Weak: A single lone shot will hurt but could only be lethal on a direct heart or headshot, unarmored. That said, plasma bolts potentially cause extreme, potentially incapacitating pain even if very weak.
DESCRIPTION

The EFR Heavy Blaster is designed as a next generation weapon for use by the Alliance Military in multiple fields and scenarios, from Riot Control to guerilla warfare. It's extreme fire rate makes it especially fearsome to lone opponents or squads, whose only potential relief may come in the need to reload or the slowness a user has while moving and hefting it around. Normally a blaster so optimized would be placing at thousands of credits but Gun-Works of Epica is offering to sell the weapon to the Alliance Military for the shockingly low price of 300 credits per weapon and fifty credits for every chaingun Power cell purchased afterwards, in exchange for the relaxing of import taxes on all of its other current or future products.

Hello, I'll be looking this over. Nathan Bloodscrawl Nathan Bloodscrawl

So, a couple issues.
Silence: X-8 Night Sniper Pistol technology renders the blaster fire nearly silent
As the X-8 really doesn't have a good canon explanation on how it works, I'd prefer it be removed as it could be interpreted as stealth tech. With the fire rate you say you're firing at, noise suppression is gonna be minimally effective I'd imagine anyways.
Can fire underwater due to using DC-12U technology
So, best I can tell, the DC-12U was able to fire underwater due to being a beam weapon rather than a standard rifle. As far as I can tell, this isn't a beam weapon. I would either remove this, or use a different method to allow it to fire underwater. The SCUBA troopers mention another method you could use.

Alright, everything looks good. Nathan Bloodscrawl Nathan Bloodscrawl

While I won't make you change this, as it doesn't effect the sub itself.

This is something you should discuss OOC with GA staff, as that's a Senate issue.

That said, not an issue itself with the sub, so I'll approve this.

APPROVED!
