Draven Eterena
The Storm Rider
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
(Best representation I could find. Will have some changes in description)
Draven's lightsaber was crafted with a few simple concepts in mind. Ease of concealment, combat practicality, and limited access. Making it so the only thing fancy about the lightsaber was the metals used and the leather wrapping. The weapon was designed as a single standard hilt. Made of durasteel, Crodium, and Slivian iron. A tan leather wrapping placed around the mid-section of the hilt allowed it to better blend against his normally tan pants. As well as the metal was scuffed to cut the shine off of it. Making it easier to hide when needed. The saber was crafted with a slimmer hilt for the same benefits of concealment. Leaving just enough body for it to be viable in combat as well as to store the parts snuggly within it. Draven purposefully made it as simple as possible. As while it did hold immense sentimental value being his first crafted weapon. He also felt a more intricately designed hilt was better suited for a more momentous occasion.
The switch was designed with left over Crodium. Made to be small and located in a difficult to find placement. With the intentions being that ease of access would only be possessed by those who had a thorough understanding of the craft of the hilt. The switch had two primary positions. The standard activation position was when slid directly upward. In this position the safety mechanism which disengages the saber when pressure was relieved from around the grip functions as normal. The secondary position activated when the user placed it in the primary position, followed by sliding the switch to the left. This engaged the locking activator which made the blade more viable for telekinetic saber combat and saber throws.
With the use of a forest green Elementrite crystal. This blade has a naturally dark green coloring to it. The body of the blade itself showed no significant differences from what a blade activated by a standard Kyber crystal would appear like.

- Lastly leather wrapping and a somewhat concealed Crodium external activation switch.
- This lightsaber was designed with leather wrappings and slightly scuffed metal. In order to be able to blend it better against attire and make it more easily concealed.
- This lightsaber is capable of function under water.
- This lightsaber has a smaller than average external activation switch located in a somewhat hidden space. Which makes it difficult to locate and activate on the fly when not aware of its position.
- This switch also has an optional locking feature by sliding it to the left once activated. Making it so the saber can be utilized more easily for telekinetic saber combat when needed. While also being able to feature the safety function of disabling should the pressure grip be released. Depending on user preference.
- All benefits provided by an Elementrite crystal
- Cortosis can short the blade
- Weaknesses of Elementrite crystal
- Provides no significant combat advantages beyond the average single standard hilt lightsaber
- Due to the concealed nature of the activation switch. It can be detrimental in high pressure circumstances to anyone not familiar with the lightsaber.
- Since it is slimmer than average to gain the advantage of concealment while still being designed for combat. That does make the hilt a bit more susceptible to direct trauma. It's functional in a battlefield environment so long as the wielder doesn't let the hilt sustain too many direct impacts. Elsewise they'll need to make repairs.
- The locking activator while optional to engage. Does mean that if ever the weapon was to be disarmed, or otherwise acquired by an enemy while the blade is in its locked position. or even laying on the battlefield. It makes the weapon a potential hazard to the owner and allies until such time as it can be manually de-activated either by hand or reaching out with the force.
