CONTENT INFORMATION
To fundamentally improve galactic relations and stabilize the Commonwealth following devastating raids, Queen Mother Allana entered into a complex arrangement with Princess Junko of the Hapes Consortium. Given the crippling damage to Hapan shipyards, the core of the deal involved the secret production of a new generation of advanced Hapan battle cruisers within secure Atrisian drydocks. In exchange for this lucrative manufacturing contract, the foundation of the alliance was the mutual friendship between the two force users.
Appreciating the disciplined beauty, fierce political capability, and exquisite standards of refinement of the Hapan elites, a mutual cultural and strategic exchange was enacted. Sixty-three women comprising one elite woman from each world within the Consortium with attendants as well as minor nobles and an equal number of Atrisian Sansin royal daughters and princesses switched societies.
Queen Mother Allana was careful in her selection of the Hapan envoys. She specifically chose women who would support the Commonwealth's principles of gender equality, recognizing that Atrisia has historically viewed the roles of Emperor and Empress as equally capable, albeit at different times. The Daughters did not seek to impose their matriarchal structure or overthrow the Atrisian male political class; rather, they sought to refine it with competence and a ruthless dedication to security.
The Atrisian Sansin were given an edge of Hapan political ruthlessness and dagger-sharp acuity, intended to hone their diplomatic skills. Conversely, the Daughters of Hibana the Hapan envoys—were immersed in the Atrisian spirit of rebuilding and relentless perseverance.
The Daughters of Hibana are not an intelligence service, as the Commonwealth maintains its own established security and intelligence apparatus. Instead, they operate as highly valued cultural advisors and political companions to the Atrisian aristocracy. They have evolved from guests into an essential corps of counsel, leveraging their vast Hapan experience to provide discreet, high-level advice to the royal family and key governors. Their primary role is to ensure stability and provide uncompromising counsel on issues ranging from planetary defense to court procedure.
Over nearly two decades, the Hapan women introduced more than just military discipline. Their presence subtly influenced the Atrisian court's social standards, elevating the aesthetic and artistic pursuits of the elite. Atrisians, weary of constant war-footing, found themselves introduced to a valued Hapan tradition: the profound appreciation of beauty, art, and poetry. The Daughters became avid patrons of Atrisian poets, sculptors, and musicians, often organizing exclusive gatherings where Sansin princesses and noblewomen engaged in the shared appreciation of Atrisian arts and poems. This created a powerful and deeply bonded network, fostering close, lasting emotional connections among the high-born women of both cultures.
The Daughters operate from a dedicated, secure wing within the Royal Palace, with several of their most capable members acting as high-level advisors and disciplined liaisons alongside the Atrisian Wukong and the Sansin Governors. They primarily serve to reinforce and safeguard the core royal family and its key political institutions, protecting the Atrisian political class from corporate infiltration, bribery, and criminal syndicates through their political counsel and keen observation.
