Special Features: The featureless, agrinium cylinder does not, at first glance, resemble a typical lightsaber. Other than a loop at one end, and the hole where the blade is emitted on the other, there is no trace of seams or controls. Everything is internal, requiring the Force to activate. Rather than simply turning it on, however, the lightsaber will switch off automatically if the pressure on it's internal activation plate is stopped- this requires the constant attention of the wielder.
The brilliant red synthetic crystal was formed under extreme levels of pressure over the course of four days. It emits a thinner, more concentrated blade than a standard lightsaber. Oscillations of energy from the compressed crystal run, at seemingly random intervals, up and down the length of the blade.
Strengths:
+ Due to materials, the hilt is both lightweight and strong. It is resistant to kinetic damage, such as would be caused by drops or falls, and most types of radiation.
+ The materials of the hilt as well as the crystal make this saber suitable for swift, agility based fighting styles. It allows for fighting with slightly greater precision and control when used properly.
Weaknesses:
- This Lightsaber requires constant control to use. Without maintaining pressure on the inner plate with the Force, the blade will turn off. It is not suited for someone without the ability to concentrate and control themselves, even during battle.
- Old. This saber is ancient. It requires regular maintenance and care- if not taken care of, it could fail the user at a critical moment.
- The saber hilt is susceptible to destruction by other sabers.
- Lightsabers are a poor weapon choice against slug throwers. This one is no exception.
Description: This saber is the second of similar design built by Darth Molior, over 500 years ago. The first was destroyed in a Sith civil war, necessitating its replacement. This saber was built after her death and reanimation by Sith Sorcery and Alchemy. Rather than using a more standard lightsaber crystal, Molior created her own. The combination of hilt materials and crystal are uniquely suited to her conservative, duelist fighting style.
As with her first saber, Molior included an internal activation mechanism. Rather than allow it to be merely switched on and off, she required herself to keep concentration on the mechanism to keep the saber on. This was less to prevent others from using it, and more as a personal goading, to always push herself and the iron grip she kept on her self control. It would not allow her to sink in to the ravings of madness or unadulterated and uncontrollable passions other Sith were so prone toward.
