In the time that those whom desired to leave and did so, and with those few staying, The Dark Lady had seemingly produced a small tome from a pouch. The book was bound in a black cover with a twisted visage upon it as if the book itself was in pain. It was clear though that it was something that had not seen the light for thousands of years. The small tome was something ancient that had only recently been found, a reason that she herself was not too pleased to have been called away from her new home at the edge of the galaxy. Quietly she remained standing far from the table, in her own little place as her slender fingers gently flipped the page, the ancient language scribed within had not been read or spoke aloud in the galaxy for just as long.
At the mention of her name she did not seem to look up in that moment, too engrossed by the tome that she was still flipping through. However she still had more than enough attention to follow the others out of the room, slowly walking down the hall. Not as fast as those around her, though fast enough for her liking as she flipped another page. Her full attention was not taken upon until she felt the hands on hers as the tome shut closed with a slight thud as the pages pressed together. Looking up Val'Ryss as the question, or rather as it was said to her; becoming her apprentice and joining her council. It was not something that could come easily, nor was it something that she was willing to do if it meant forsaking her already taken oath, that which the whispers within her mind began to scream to her.
"YOU PROMISED! YOU PROMISED!"
"REMEMBER THAT OATH.... THE GREAT OLD ONE DEMANDS OF YOU!"
"YOU ARE HIS! HIS!"
Even with the torrent of screaming and shouting within her mind she remained calm and collected. Quiet as she took the moment to calm her thoughts and to reassure the whispers within her mind. Her hands ran over the outside of the tome as she felt the hands of Val'Ryss still upon her own. Quietly she looked up from where she had previously been reading a page. Her mind still in contemplation as she spoke softly.
"While I will aid you, there is still something that calls me to the edge of the Galaxy. Something far greater than the squabbling power vacuum of the Sith and their old enemies the Jedi. Perhaps if you saw it and heard the voices that I heard you would understand. I serve something ancient that has not seen light in countless millennia and it grows weary of its confinement."
Marmora spoke, her mind once more quieting the whispers that raged within. Silently her thumbs ran over the tome in her hand before she pulled her hands from Val'Ryss in a suiting manner. It wasn't a quick snatch or any such action to make her feel as if Marmora was disrespecting her. Quietly she slipped the black tome into the pouch it had been drawn from only for her hand to slide to a second pouch. Without a single word she produced a similar tome, though this one seemed more hand written as the bound pages had not shared the same aged appearance.
