Damn Damotite [First Order Dominion of Lanteeb]

Objective: 4

After just having slain a group of aliens, men, women and children alike, Kajtia would find herself quickly airborne in her TIE Advanced in search for a new target to massacre. Suddenly her ship's communications picked up something. At first it seemed like gargle, but slowly the voices cleared. What is this, frakken Jedi scumbags on the planet trying to save these pitiful low life aliens, how pathetic! Kajtia would say to herself. She would fly her fighter in the direction of where the Jedi and his team were located. They were heavily armed and they themselves would spot her fast approaching TIE. Kajtia then quickly increased her altitude to avoid being blown out of the sky herself, and then headed back in the direction of the village. If he is a Jedi padawan, I would love to try and kill him. Umm best I warn those stormtroopers of incoming company. As she flew towards the village she would begin to fire her ship's lasers at villagers and buildings on the ground. She would make several fly overs too, every time shooting at more random targets. Might as well make the job easier for the troopers below.. She thought to herself, justifying her evil murderous actions.

Bolt was zooming around, looking for an enemy. He was eager to fight, as he has not seen much action for himself. While Bolt knew he must still be on guard, he was giddy. After about five minutes, Bolt came across a small cargo ship. It wasn't big enough to be a freighter, no, but it was big enough to fight cargo. The ship had no markings on it, and it was slow. He watched the ship move at a crawl, away from the planet. Bolt was unsure, whether people were escaping, setting up an ambush, or if the ship even came from the planet. He was hesitant, but he had orders. Shoot anything that isn't First Order. Bolt gripped his triggers, and fired away. Quickly the ship was split in half, and eventually blew into a ball of flames. He shook his head, reported the ship, and buzzed off, to patrol the "airspace".

As Cameron continued the dialogue between the two, the young Denko turned his head to the Master of Ren with a face of astonishment and surprised. Him in command of a company of a battalion that he and another fellow Ren were to share? That was something that would made him laugh if any other figure of authority came to him and disclosed him of what he would be doing with on the field of battle. But not with Cameron. Not at all, after being the apprentice of the Cameron for quite a while Ezra knew that every word and thinking that the man said and thought of was serious and down-to-earth honest. Not once had he seen his Master joke or make nonsensical comments of some random topic. Even minor events the Master of Ren regarded them very highly.

He opened his mouth, about to question the motives of Cameron but didn't dare to. He did, however, responded back to Cameron with a, "Yes, Master. Thank you," and turned around to leave the bridge of the Terminator and headed to the hangar of the vessel. A dropship awaited for the Disciple with a squad of Stormtroopers in it. After he was inside the dropship the machine lifted off from the durasteel floor and exited out to the void of space which then headed to Alpha Zulu where he would meet his fellow Disciple.

That Annoying Space Tourist: [member="Marcello Matteo"]

At what point did a bad day begin?

Was it getting shot down over a village that Intelligence had classified as being of 'no consequence'? Was it crawling out of flaming wreckage in half your armor, only to find yourself outnumbered and in the middle of a widowing field? Or was it being descended upon by the vaulted saviors of the known galaxy, those gallant Jedi Knights, who spoke of justice as they committed wanton acts of either violence or indifference.

Now, the young Pantoran had not been so defenseless when they had departed the Star Destroyer in the dropship. But somewhere between atmospheric entry and becoming a flaming comet of airborne debris, the boy had become separated from his amphistaff. To be certain, if he'd survived the crash, then Azi was around... somewhere. So far as he knew, an amphistaff was tough as to be described as invincible. But she was probably twisting in the dirt like a sidewinder, chasing after a vole or some other small marmot.

And his lightsaber? Yeah, that apparently wasn't made 'amphistaff tough.' Chock it up to the fact that the Sith had used underpaid, eleven year old Pantoran sweatshop labor in the manufacture.

Also, he totally needed to trademark 'amphistaff tough' as a slogan. You've had a hard day. Assassinating crime bosses. Fighting Jedi Knights. You want a lightsaber that's as tough as you are. The next time you reach for a lightsaber, reach for a Sith lightsaber. Sith lightsabers, built amphistaff tough.TM

Hypothetical marketing aside, he'd definitely be building a new lightsaber later.

...assuming there was a later.

The flash of another lightsaber brought the boy's attention to his right. A First Order Stormtrooper was under attack by yet-another-annoying-space-tourist-with-a-lightsaber. Trying to intervene before the Jedi could inflict any further harm to the stormtrooper, the boy snapped in a fluid movement. Alternating one foot over the other, the youngling stepped forward into a T-stance. His arms swept forward, almost as though scooping up the air as the boy stretched out through the Dark Side of the Force.

Carrying the momentum forward, the boy lashed out with a palm-heel strike that sent a telekinetic pulse outward. His goal was to try and shove the Jedi backward to buy time for the stormtrooper to get out from between the two Force wielders.

The disciple acknowledged his master, gathering the remaining half of the stormtrooper squad and heading off in a different direction towards the right of the village once Ren gave him the world. Arthan unclipped his lightsaber from his belt and ignited it with a sinister hiss as a crimson blade came to life in his hand. He pointed it in front of him, signalling the troops he had to move forward.

The squad made it down from their barren landing site to a nearly flat plain with a decent amount of trees and a few rocks protruding from the ground. Dozens of blaster bolts were raining through the trees, almost all of them hitting the ground and singeing the grass black.

They were almost in flanking position on the right side of the village with minimal casualties, save for a trooper that had been impacted by a lucky blaster bolt on the breastplate. As soon as they had reached the exact point of readiness, Arthan pressed a button on his comlink to send a signal telling his master that they were in position and ready to begin their part of the operation.

The heavy troopers in his squad were equipped with a shoulder-mounted rocket propelled grenade that would tear down their side of the wall with a couple of launches. The disciple was about to give the order to fire when he felt the ground shake, a loud clap sound proliferated through the air as something was being fired. Arthan and the troopers both had helmets on that would protect their ears, unlike his master, the scrub from the amazingly loud sound, luckily.

The next thing Arthan heard when the sound stopped was a crash, indicating something was just destroyed. The disciple grinned ear to ear as he gave the order for the troopers to fire.

After exchanging some parting words with Ciardha Ren, Ludolf continued to the elevator to be taken down to his transport. Ciardha was laconic, much like himself. A man who preferred action to words. It seemed to be an unspoken understanding between the two, one of mutual respect. Vaas approved of the Knights of Ren's new leader, he reflected as the elevator began to move downward, taking him to the Terminator's hangar bay.

There, he would find his assault walker prepped and ready to go, already loaded into a transport which would deposit him planetside. All Ludolf needed to do was strap in. Some deck officers assisted him as he climbed the ladder to enter his walker and then strapped himself into the walker's cockpit, and then one of them held out the General's helmet for him to take. As he adjusted the chin strap around his jaw, Ludolf could feel the repulsors of the transport being primed, readying for takeoff. He watched as the bay doors of the transport closed, and soon he was surrounded by darkness, the only light coming from the illuminated panels and buttons of his walker's cockpit.

Meanwhile, as the transport began to exit the hangar bay, the ship's pilot sent out a comm frequency to Bolt-559 and all other TIE pilots in the vicinity.

"All units, all units nearby the Terminator. Form up and protect the General's dropship as it goes planetside."

As Kajtia kept circling the village and kept raining destruction on its buildings and people below, she would hear the comm message being sent by the General. His dropship was about to go planetside and required an escort. The stormtroopers below looked like they had the situation under control, so her assistance here was done. Kajtia would then pitch the nose of her TIE in a steep upward angle and soar her fighter craft skywards. She could see the approaching dropship in high planetary orbit, already with other TIEs creating a formation around the General's ship. Kajtia would simply join in, and then from there, slowly descend back towards the planet's surface along with the other TIEs and the dropship she was protecting.

"Sir, you have an incoming transmission..." one of the company commanders said to me while I scanned through the heavily detailed list of our casualty report, while the sounds of blaster fire erupted the ensuing silence, alerting me that our captured enemies had been dealt with. "Unless it's the Master of Ren, I'm not taking incoming messages, well, unless it's from High Command." I glanced over at the commander out of the corner of my eyes preparing to see him scurry away, but instead he added, "Well sir, it's the Master of Ren that has sent you the message."

Painfully I raised an eyebrow while I raised my mask's goggles. I took the encrypted datapad from the commander and listened to the message. I was relieved, somewhat, that the brunt of responsibility of leading so many troops into battle had been lifted from my shoulders. I suffer from pride, but I'm also a suffer of obeying direct orders from my superiors, too. I sent a replying message:

Understood, Master. I will take direct control of two companies and wait for my fellow Disciple.

I returned the datapad to the commander and strolled over to the two company commanders whose companies I will now be taking over. "I will personally handle the responsibilities of both companies, but you both will act as my advisers in all things military. My first official order is to make sure the men and woman have a proper meal and are properly reequipped. When Disciple Denko arrives, he and I will discuss tactics."

As I walked away from the two brave men, I produced my comlink contacting Disciple Denko. "Alpha Zulu has been quieted. I eagerly await your arrival."

Cameron's bright gaze never left the tactical display as the battle on the surface continued to unfold. Reports and chatter from various units broadcasting position reports and contact reports over the command net filtered through the Sith Lord's ears as the crew aboard the Terminator worked vigorously to maintain contact with controlling elements of the operation.

Despite his proximity to the hive of activity that was the Terminator's command deck, the Force spoke loudest to the inside of his mind. Closing his eyes briefly, Ciardha Ren focused his efforts as he spread his influence farther down to the planet below. The existence of several presences made themselves known in striking fashion.

As the Sith Lord's eyes snapped open and returned to the tactical display before him, Cameron smiled thinly. In short order, a follow-up order was disseminated to Disciples Denko and Torcularis.

He sensed it almost before the attack had even initiated. Glacier-blue eyes snapped in the direction of the sky-colored child. At this point, there was little reason for Marcello to expend a great deal of energy attempting to resist what was coming. If the boy's purpose had been to interrupt Marcello's attack, he'd done so even before the telekinetic wave hit the Rogue Master.

The impact of the invisible energy was jarring, but the large Naboo native manipulated the Force just enough to levitate him a couple inches off the ground at the moment of impact. The resulting force through Marcello's body backwards. Gripping his lightsaber tighter with his right hand, the Rogue Jedi gritted his teeth as he outstretched his free left hand in the direction of the stormtrooper. Bright white tendrils of electric judgment erupted from Marcello's fingertips, racing across the void to whatever enemy troops were within a hundred meters of the Naboo noble.

By the time his rearward momentum had ceased, Marcello allowed his levitation to return him casually to the ground and his attack to dissipate. Almond-shaped orbs focused in on the young dark sider as Marcello's visage set into hard lines. Long golden locks fluttered violently behind him as Marcello charged towards the boy, the strength of the light side almost visibly building up intensity within his body.

Isar's gaze settled on the First Order troops setting up positions to lay siege to the village. Turning his head to the recon sniper attached to his fireteam, Isar signaled the man and his spotter to re-position to an ideal vantage point for engaging targets. Returning his attention to the village and the forces surrounding it, he dispatched a brief update to the Lieutenant. "Mobile artillery units are units are moving into posi---".

Isar hadn't even finished the report before the sounds of heavy weapons fire echoed across the terrain. Cursing to himself slightly, Isar issued final orders to his fireteam leader. "Once the snipers are in position, engage targets of opportunity. Tell the Lieutenant to hurry up."

"Wait...where are you freaking going?"

"I'm not going to just sit here and watch innocent lives be snuffed out. You are bound by the Lieutenant's orders. See you on the other side." Falling silent, Isar slinked off along the ridge-line, perpendicular to the southern wall of the village at some four hundred meters. He'd made it maybe twenty meters before a searing pain shot through his head. Dropping abruptly to his knees, Isar slammed his eyelids shut and braced himself against the dirt as a torrent of images rippled across his vision. He could taste sweat on his lips, feel the burning of corpses, and then he saw...something he did not understand. Bright green eyes burning at him from beneath the hood of a dark black and silver cloak.

Just as soon as the vision had descended upon the young Jedi, it dissipated entirely. As the fog of the experience slowly lifted, Isar could hear several loud shots erupt over the terrain. He recognized the sound - the sniper pair had begun to engage targets among the forces of Arthan and Greifen, prioritizing command individuals first.

The day had come for the First Order to descend upon their latest conquest, and Marzena Choi was waiting in orbit outside Lanteeb. The actress and singer had recently struck up relations with the First Order at the lavish military ball that had recently been held on Dosuun. It was a relationship that was proving to be mutually beneficial for both parties. That was the impression she had gleaned from General [member="Ludolf Vaas"] during their most recent... “business” meeting.

Was it unorthodox for such a lady to be present during an invasion? It most certainly was. Even though she was not a soldier, and not a member of the First Order, she was here to provide support in her own way. Ever since making the Bespin her new home world, she had found that her name had begun to spread to the planets in and surrounding First Order space. With the popularity of her music and HoloDramas on the upswing, she hoped that she’d had an impact on Lanteeb. Although this world was not as sophisticated as the planets she regularly frequented, she figured that there had to be some of the population that had heard of her.

Although she would not be able to aid their efforts with force, she hoped to help cultivate an air of acceptance. After all, she was an example for the humans of Lanteeb, a model of greatness for them to aspire to. General Vaas had told her that she fit the aesthetic that First Order worlds needed, and had asked her to model for a statue that would serve as a beacon for the citizens of Bespin. It was a grand opportunity, and it only inflated her already abundant ego.

What exactly was the singer’s plan? Today she would soon be hosting a free concert in Lantibba City, handing out discs with her latest music and remaining after the show to sign autographs for her adoring fans. If she knew anything about people, it was that they loved free stuff...

Once the nearby TIE squadrons received the message that the General's dropship was descending on Lanteeb, they began to form up alongside it in a simple escort mission. The First Order had met little resistance in Lanteeb space thus far, in fact the only enemies they had destroyed were unidentified craft unlucky enough to still be caught in the general malaise - but that was the Navy's orders. All unidentified, non-First Order craft were to be treated as hostile for the time being as the planet was blockaded.

Meanwhile, as the atmosphere of Lanteeb came into view in Ludolf's walker's viewport, a dashboard light began to flicker. It was a message from a Captain back on the Terminator. Ludolf pressed the button with a black-gloved hand, and a holoprojection of the Captain appeared before him, casting a blue glow about Ludolf's cockpit.

"General Vaas, you told me to inform you when Miss Choi had arrived... she is on deck now, sir."

"Excellent," Ludolf replied with no hint of emotion in his face, keeping his personal feelings for Marzena well hidden. "Prepare an armored transport for her and have it escorted to Lantibba City. Priority one, Captain. Oh, and redirect me to Miss Choi's holo frequency."

"Right away, sir."

The image of the Captain disappeared just as Ludolf felt his transport reach the surface of Lanteeb with a small shudder. He began to flip switches and prime the hydraulics of the walker in preparation to depart, just as he connected with Marzena's holo frequency. She would receive an image of his face in the cockpit of his walker on her end.

"Hello, Marzena," Ludolf said plainly. "I do believe you requested a planet."

Marzena sat silently, arms crossed and the toe of her high heeled shoe tapped lightly against the floor. She was trying her best not to be impatient, but the truth was that she hated waiting. Today she traveled with the retinue of Stormtroopers that General Vaas had assigned to protect her, and her eyes found them standing like statues outside her door. The small room provided for her was a bit too cold and dark for her liking... but she had to remind herself that this was a military ship, not a luxury star cruiser.

A flashing blue light caught her attention and the console nearby became illuminated by the image of Ludolf’s face. The General’s stone-like expression was ever present, and this time warmth was quite absent from his voice. When they had last parted, she had been privileged to see Ludolf in a different light. However, she knew that his job required him to project the image of cold authority.

“I see you’re keeping the bar high.” Marzena smiled. “It’s good to see you, Ludolf.”

It had only been a little over a week since she had last seen him, but Marzena had still found herself craving his company. While it would have been far better to see him in person, a holoprojection would have to do for now. As long as she was in the company of other First Order members, Marzena would do nothing to reveal her true feelings... but that didn’t mean she couldn’t flirt a little, it was just part of her nature.

“I hope we can celebrate a victory for the First Order.” She said, winking playfully.

A man suddenly appeared in the doorway, and he silently motioned for her to join him.

“Looks like it’s time to go.” She sighed, “Be safe.” She said, her tone dropping low. It was a simple request, but she knew that battle always had the potential to make things complicated.

Marzena’s finely manicured index finger pressed the button on the console, and she watched as the image of General Vaas flickered and went dark.

His commlink beeped and opened the transmission to hear his fellow Disciple. "Likewise, Clovis, I shall be arriving very soon." And very soon indeed. After flying through the void of space his dropship broke the atmosphere of the planet. Starfighters chased each other and the skies were just full of dogfighting. Nothing new to the First Order. Such resistance and and opposition would be branded with Death and be shown out to the public for those who even thought to rebel the Supreme Leader.

Moments later after from flying the dropship came to a halt as they had arrived to the forces of [member="Clovis Torcularis"]. The Dark Jedi came out from the vessle with the squad of Stormtroopers that accompanied him. After his arrival he heard a transmission from his Master which gave him and his comrades precise instructions on what to do next. "Clovis I am here, now let's head on to Knight Chiyo." With that he would forward the grid coordinates, that his Master sent to him, to the officers of his company and would have his company mobilize to the location of [member="Boo Chiyo"].

The ground shook once more as the mobile artillery unit emitted another deafening blast in the air. The sound was followed by an explosion of metal and debris, as well as what could be faintly made out to be screams, as the town wall being assaulted was beginning to buckle and crumble under the blasts. Greifen took a pair of macrobinoculars and peered over the ridge, where he saw a hole in the wall beginning to form. Hopefully his Apprentice was making good on assaulting the other side of the town as well.

A blaster bolt whizzed by his face suddenly then, causing Greifen a sudden pang of surprise as he quickly ducked behind cover again. Another quick bolt flew through the air and the Lieutenant next to him was not so lucky, as he was caught in the neck by the bolt and thrown backwards.

"Stay low and keep cover!" Ren shouted to the troops, knowing that the enemy now had snipers trained on their position. There was something else, too. He sensed the other presence in the Force earlier, but now it was becoming more distinct. There was definitely a Jedi in their midst... somewhere.

"I want one more hole opened up in that wall before we begin our assault. Continue artillery fire," He commanded his men, who relayed the message to the droid brain of the artillery unit. It only responded with yet more earth-shattering blasts.

Lightning.

The Jedi had just used Force Lightning on a stormtrooper.

...how was that even possible? Or was there something that the Pantoran was missing? Because he was sensing the Dark Side of the Force, quite the opposite in fact, but since when did the Light Side have Force Lightning? And why was he only just now finding out about this? Also, why did no one put a collar and leash on their amphistaff? To begin with, their are leash laws! Second, and regardless of the fact that there was a 2 meter tall wall of kick-ass headed right for him, it probably was something of a health hazard to have an amphistaff running wild.

Kicking his left leg up, the boy rotated to the right as he spun around and back in a Teras Kasi exercise designed to unlock the body's chakras, to attune one to the ebb and flow of the Force. Continuing with the motion, the boy's hands and arms stayed in motion, pulling through the air as he stretched out with his emotions -- anger, fear -- and used them. Wielded them.

A chuck of debris popped up from off the ground. Kicking out with a straight legged kick, the boy came forward and around. As he spun outward, he extended both arms out in unison, propelling the hunk of debris through the Force toward the raging juggernaut of Jedi doom.

Kyle Amedis was back in action. Recovery from the wounds on Takodana had healed, and he had battled to build himself back to full strength. He’d been sitting out of First Order action for too long and needed to get back into it straight away.

Hearing the call from [member="Ludolf Vaas"] for the fleet to move to take Lanteeb, Kyle made a route straight for the landing craft to take the squads of troopers planet side. With his E11 ready to go, Kyle pulled on the comfortable security of the imposing white helmet of his Stormtrooper armor and made his way to the craft for the next wave to hit the planet.

”Captain Amedis heading to the planet’s surface. With a squad of fourteen for anyone who needs back-up. If not, we’re heading to the dropzone."

He would be where he was needed, to crush the opposition and fight for the domination of the First Order.

The general had landed, and his walker accompanied by squadrons of stormtroopers would begin their advance forward to their objective. Kajtia would decide that it would be best for her to fly low and circle both the walker and the ground troops to provide that extra level of cover they would need. One couldn't be too careful. After all this was war and an invasion on the First Order's part. Despite the superiority of the General's walker and of the troopers below, they were still vulnerable and subject to surprise ambushes. With Kajtia circling in close proximity, this would give them that extra cover. Of course it would increase her own chances of being shot down by any rogue rebels with any sort of hand held launchers, however this was a risk that Kajtia was prepared to take. All for victory and for the Glory of the First Order.

As she continued to circle the area, there was one thought she could not manage to shake off. That Jedi. Yes he was still in the area, somewhere, waiting and ready to pounce. Kajtia inside was craving at the thought of killing a Jedi. The glory and honour it would bring to the First Order and One Sith alike. However that chance if given would have to wait for later, as right now her objective was clear and simple, abs she would stick to it and not veer from it until would be absolutely necessary.
