OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Kyber Forests
  • Origins: Atrisia
  • Other Locations: N/A
  • Classification: Tree
  • Average Growth Cycle: Xiāntáo tree variants, take up to 100 years to reachmaturity. Once mature, their kyberite crystal formations can be harvested sparingly, with new crystals forming over decades. Xiāntáo trees produce fruit rarely with exceptionally long maturation periods but they are in abundance.
    • Apple Variety: Blooms every 3,000 years
    • Peach Variety: Blooms every 6,000 years
    • Plum Variety: Blooms every 9,000 years
  • Viability: Requires a steady supply of water from sources like the Hiei Springs and a strong lightside Force nexus to thrive. The kyberite and force rich soil of the Agora Valley enhances their growth making them dependent on this unique ecosystem.
  • Description: The Kyber Forests of the Agora Valley are a breathtaking, otherworldly spectacle radiating serene beauty and potent lightside energy. Anchored by the ancient albino Wroshyr tree at the heart of the grove this forest features prismatic Wroshyr branches covered with iridescent, crystalline bark that shimmers in a spectrum of colors casting a radiant glow across the landscape. Interspersed among them are branches woven and growing their gnarled branches laden with crystalline skinned dark purple fruits that pulse with force energy. Delicate cherry blossoms with twisting branches bloom seasonally their pink petals drifting to carpet the forest floor in a soft, rosy hue. An ethereal mist swirls around the ground amplifying the mystical ambiance as beams of prismatic light pierce the canopy scattering rainbows across towering kyberite crystal formations. The forest floor is a mosaic of reflective crystal shards and sparkling formations with shallow, mirror-like pools fed by the Hiei Springs reflecting the luminous scene.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Average Height: 10 meters
  • Average Length: N/A
  • Color: Prismatic trunks with crystalline bark in shifting hues of silver, blue, and violet, paired with fractal, crystal like leaves that refract light. Xiāntáo trees have dark, gnarled wood with dark purple, crystalline-skinned fruits. Cherry blossoms add bursts of soft pink during blooming seasons.
  • Nutritional Value: The Xiāntáo plums are highly nutritious, providing sustenance and enhancing force sensitivity when consumed. A steady diet of these fruits can slow cellular aging by extending the Hayflick limit, promoting prolonged vitality and youthful appearance. The plums take the longest to cultivate with apples being the fastest and peaaches in the middle. All can extend ones life and vitalitybut the plums are the most potent.
  • Toxicity: The Xiāntáo fruits are toxic to darksiders, causing severe sickness or discomfort due to their potent lightside aura. Other forest flora, including Wroshyr leaves and cherry blossoms, are non-toxic but inedible.
  • Other Effects:
    • Ingestion: Consuming Xiāntáo plums enhances Force sensitivity and meditation, amplifying a Jedi's connection to the lightside. The fruits' cellular effects slow aging by extending telomere length, though prolonged use risks dependency, leading to rapid aging if discontinued.
    • Contact: Handling Xiāntáo fruits may cause a mild tingling sensation in Force-sensitive individuals, enhancing focus. Prolonged exposure to the forest's kyberite crystals can heighten Force awareness but may overwhelm untrained individuals.
    • Medicinal Qualities: The Hiei Springs' waters infused with the forest's lightside energy are used in healing rituals accelerating recovery from physical and mental fatigue. Mumau roots, cultivated in shaded alcoves are brewed into teas that enhance focus and calm during Jedi training.
    • Side Effects: Overconsumption of Xiāntáo plums can lead to dependency with cessation causing rapid cellular aging to "catch up" to the user's natural age. Prolonged exposure to the forest's Force nexus may cause disorientation in non-Force-sensitive individuals.
  • Distinctions: The Kyber Forests are unique to the Agora Valley, thriving only in its kyberite-rich soil and lightside Force nexus. The Wroshyr trees' crystalline bark and leaves are unlike any other flora refracting light to create a radiant prismatic canopy. Xiāntáo trees produce rare, crystalline-skinned plums with potent Force properties, found nowhere else. Seasonal cherry blossom blooms add a transient beauty, with petals that glow faintly under moonlight, a phenomenon tied to the forest's Force energy. Variations exist between trees closer to the Hiei Springs, which grow taller and more luminous and those on the grove's edges, which are smaller but hardier.
Strengths:
  • Lightside Force Nexus: The Kyber Forests, amplified by the Hiei Springs and kyberite crystals form a potent lightside Force nexus, enhancing Jedi training, meditation, and healing while repelling darkside influences.
  • Ecological Resilience: The forest's isolation and kyberite-rich soil, combined with the Atrisian Commonwealth's protective measures, ensure its survival against environmental or military threats, with the albino Wroshyr tree serving as a durable anchor.
Weaknesses:
  • Force Dependency: The forest's unique properties rely on the lightside Force nexus. Exposure to Force-nullifying elements like vong biotechnology or void stones can stunt growth, revert Xiāntáo fruits to ordinary fruits or dull the forest's luminescence.
  • Limited Range: The trees and their Force-infused fruits lose potency when removed from the Agora Valley. Xiāntáo become inert within seven days unless preserved by a strong lightside Force user, limiting their utility offworld.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Kyber Forests centered in the Kyberite Grove of Atrisia's Nhai Mountains trace their origins to 7,000,000 BBY, when Atrisian precursors seeded the valley with Wroshyr trees from distant worlds including the massive albino Wroshyr at the grove's heart. These trees, nourished by the kyberite rich soil and Hiei Springs' lightside Force nexus, grew alongside Xiāntáo fruit trees, whose crystalline fruits became legendary for their life-extending properties. The forest's isolation preserved its ecosystem through early planetary cataclysms, allowing it to thrive as a sacred site revered in Atrisian myths. By 10,000 BBY, a prosperous settlement, the precursor to Suijin Village, flourished at the grove's edge, cultivating the forest's resources until it faded into obscurity as Atrisia's surface civilizations advanced.

During the Atrisian Schism of 1500 BBY, the Kyber Forests served as a refuge for lightside practitioners, including the precursors to the Wukong, a Force-sensitive Atrisian sect. The Wukong carved the Five Tombs within the Nhai Mountains embedding trials of insight, skill, courage, flesh and wisdom to test their members. These kyberite-etched tombs, inscribed with Atrisian runes, were lost to time until rediscovered in 860 ABY through ancient Chitei records. The rediscovery revealed the forest's lightside nexus and its role in Atrisia's primordial past, prompting renewed reverence. Fang Min was there considered a leader but many did not understand or know where she had come from.

The One Sith War devastated Atrisia, spurring the Atrisian Commonwealth under Princess Junko, Princes Shoma, the Emperor and Empresses leadership to restore the Kyber Forests as a bastion of lightside teachings. In 880 ABY, the Agora Valley Temple was constructed within the albino Wroshyr tree its trunk and branches forming a natural fortress. Completed in 890 ABY, the temple integrated advanced defenses WorldArmor 9 shields, MetaCannons and autoturrets while preserving the forest's sanctity. The Arahant Pathway, a narrow, fortified trail, became the sole entry, guarded by layered walls and the Hiroshi tiger Xian, a free roaming guardian.

Post-war, the Kyber Forests became a cultural and spiritual cornerstone. The Uneti Grove transplanted from Ahch-To was established to preserve Jedi heritage while Mumau Root Alcoves and the Echo Chamber enhanced Jedi training. The Xiāntáo trees', guarded for their potency were used to identify darkside infiltrators during royal gatherings, their lightside aura causing sickness in darksiders. In 870 ABY, Sith remnants attempted to infiltrate the grove but were repelled by the Arahant Pathway's defenses and Xian's ferocity. Princess Sitharia of Chitei contributed to bolster the temple's fortifications, blending ancient mysticism with modern technology.

Today, the Kyber Forests remain a sacred and strategic site under the Atrisian Commonwealth's protection. The forest's radiant beauty, potent Force nexus and rare Xiāntáo fruits draw Jedi trainees and Wukong practitioners balancing ancient mysticism with modern resilience. The Atrisian royal family enforces strict conservation to prevent overharvesting, ensuring the forest's legacy as a beacon of lightside teachings and Atrisian heritage endures.
