THE RISE OF BLACK SUN

Black Sun is making moves, they are expanding and claiming territory, increasing their influence and power. For those rival gangs or syndicates that stand in their way, Black Sun will crush opposition in the underworld through unrelenting force. With growth comes opportunity for leadership, as the Head of Black Sun calls on those suited to positions as Vigos, and appointment of power begins. Though, no syndicate can exist without soldiers, as trusted members of Black Sun target a prison complex, where moles inside have secured support for the criminal empire and have lined up prisoner escapees as recruits - and all that remains is to break them out, en masse...

blacksun_obj1.png
Black Sun is expanding. The time has come for leaders, and for consideration of future leaders, those capable of guiding the syndicate into a new age of wealth and power. With a combination of attributes, each member of Black Sun can have the potential, and it falls to the Black Sun Council to discuss who and when. The Head of Black Sun has called a gathering, where leadership will meet in a secure location, and the operations and plans for the criminal empire will be decided. It also remains that certain individuals within Black Sun have been contacted, told to attend and transported by an Enforcer squad, to be discretely delivered to the location.

This objective is for those looking to become leaders in Black Sun, specifically Lieutenants or Vigos. The theme is high-table leadership, focused on discussion.

The Wheel has been a hot-spot for criminal and underworld activity and groups for as long as anyone can remember. There has been no end to the violence, deals and backstabbing for this space station, and today promises to be no different. The large structure is located in the Besh Gorgon system of the Mid Rim, along the Perlemian Trade Route, and has value to Black Sun as a result. The aim is to move in and secure new territory, by taking out a rival gang - the Nova Crime Syndicate - in the eastern ring sector, to claim their space. And in doing so, Black Sun wishes to send a message, one that will tell every criminal from the Unknown Regions to the Core Worlds that Black Sun is here to stay and we will take what we want.

This objective is for those looking for chaos. The theme is no-holds-barred, all-out destruction of a rival force - go nuts.

blacksun_ob2.png

blacksun_obj3.png
Black Sun needs soldiers. Over the recent months and years, members of the syndicate have infiltrated various prisons and law establishments, in an effort to undermine and contact criminal elements. One such compound is the the Spire, located on the snowy planet of Stygeon Prime, where our people have succeeded in preparing a large-scale prison break. In preparation, some guards have been paid off, some resources have been smuggled in, and a number of prisoners are ready to join Black Sun in exchange for freedom and wealth.

All that remains is to enact the plan: arrive in force, blow the fortress walls, overpower the guards to open the cells, and get out.

This objective is for those looking to have a mixture of action and recruitment, with some light narrative control from Black Sun staff for prison NPCs. The theme is opposing PvE opponents and new recruits.

"Ah man, meetings are always a bore, amirite?"

Xyoz leaned back in his seat, arms spread over the back of his chair. He glanced up, briefly, to where his bodyguard stood. Or would have been standing. Unfortunately, the Wookie guard and close friend had already been killed early on. The uprising of the Black Sun had taken quite the personal and professional toll on his business. That was just another reminder. The Shistavanen let out a sigh as he turned his attention instead to the growing group around them. A frown clear on his face.

".. It's still a bore. Just sayin'."

UNDISCLOSED LOCATION

The room was dark, with a high vaulted ceiling, the walls angular and pointed upward. The central table was circular, metal, and had seats positioned around at even intervals for a total of nine placements. One seat displayed the Black Sun symbol on its high-backed padding. The meeting room was secure, constantly swept for spying devices, and utilized a tight-beam transmission method for those that required holo-call necessity. Essentially a secured bunker, the walls were several feet thick, with weaved beskar throughout at pivotal structural junctures, and it seemed likely that only a consistent barrage from a capital ship would crack through it... and even then, after some time had passed.

From one side of the room, the thick wall partition opened and Aktur walked in, his dark eyes adjusted to the room lighting quickly, as he noted the numerous individuals present. Several were holographic displays, likely unable to leave their respective sectors or business at the present time, instead relying on encrypted communications. Those same holonet communication systems utilized GalaxiCorp infrastructure, which meant the meeting would be private, with no stored recordings or data entries.

Murmurs were in the meeting room.

Aktur reached the chair with the symbol and took his seat, as he swiveled around to face the leadership of the Black Sun, his gaze cool as he regarded each. There were several empty seats, they needed replacements, but that would be discussed in time once proceedings began. For another few minutes, Aktur waited, until silence began to take over and the gathered Vigos became quiet.

"Thank you all for attending," Aktur said as he offered a small nod. "I would begin this meeting with congratulations and introduction of our newest Vigo, Xyoz Maji, who has begun efforts for Black Sun dealing with spice and narcotics..."

An eyebrow raised, as Aktur looked to Xyoz.

"How are operations on Ylesia presently?"

"Better than they were with the Hutts. With the news of the Consortiums fall passin' around, folks tended to err on the side of rebellion. You Black Sun enforcer folks certainly don't leave room for revolts." He snickered a little, reaching a hand out to take up a glass. Take a long sip with it.

"Giggledust production is at an all time high. N' the mines are running all day. Miners got their rotations, n' so long as they got some comfortable housing most ignore the fact they're not leaving those mines ever. N' the rich folks who show up for the whole uh, 'all natural experience', their money sure helps t' keep the others in them comfortable housing."

The Spire

It had been a cold, excruciating month that Sinder had been wasting away in prison. His fur had started to become grimy, and no amount of intense grooming was able to stop it. Not only that, the bastards had ripped out the jewels that decorated his fangs, taken out his piercings, and worst of all they stole his weapons from him. This all together effectively tore everything that made Sinder away from him. He wouldn't have been in this situation if a long time contact hadn't been paid off to betray him and turn him into whatever backwater planet wanted him punished.

He had passed the time by training his body, staring at the walls, and plotting his revenge. Thankfully, Sinder was able to sleep pretty much anywhere and anytime he wanted to, so he was also getting a lot of rest. He found the prison so unbearable, at one point he got himself put in solitary by biting a guard just to get away from the smell of the general population. As long as he got his three square meals a day and had enough room to sleep and groom himself, Sinder was comfortable enough. He was still relying heavily on his sheer size and force to get him along in the prison, especially after the biting incident, most of the guards didn't mess around with him too much.

After his couple of weeks in solitary confinement, the Trianii mercenary was being released back into the general population. They blindfolded him to avoid him learning the layout of the prison and lead him back to his new cell. They wanted him away from those who had seen his display of power as to not incite more violence. It wasn't long until Sinder could hear the sound of people further down the hallways. Just before they arrived in his new block, they ripped the blindfold from his face. Every-time they changed his cell, he always expected a completely different layout when he got to a new section of the prison, and everytime he was met with the same depressing décor as the last block. "Time to make some more friends." The guard said mockingly toward the Trianii as he opened the door to the general population area.

Those prisoners already inside would see the doors open to reveal a very large feline figure ducking down to avoid smacking his head on the doorway. He would be clad in the typical outfit of a prisoner with a few exceptions. The size of the shirt would be much bigger than most other uniforms, and the pants had a small hole cut out for Sidner's tail. As the guards lead Sinder up the stairs to his cell, his amber eyes scanned the group of people around him. He made eye contact with one of the other aliens, someone Sinder had fought before. As they locked eyes, Sinder's eyes narrowed and his ears on-top of his head laid backwards, expressing the Trainii's anger. A toothy snarl got the other prisoner to back down, but Sinder was already on high alert and he hadn't even made it to his cell yet.

When they finally arrived, they unlocked his handcuffs and pushed Sinder into the cell while locking the door quickly behind him. The now angry Sinder turned on his heel, threatening them with a low growl. At this rate, spending the rest of his life in prison wasn't worth it and he was better off starting a fight and dying in the bloodshed. It would be a more honorable death than rotting in a cell.

"I'm going to burn this place down." He huffed under his breath, unaware of the audience he had.

Jester didn't know where she was, it was a strange feeling but not unheard of. She had received a coded transmission from the Black Sun leadership following the coup over the Hutts, contained within the message was a piece of software that hijacked her nav computer, and brought her here before deleting the log. It was ingenious, but she had heard of similar being used to bring in traitors to receive inescapable punishment. She smirked to herself, she was fairly confident she hadnt betrayed anyone recently.

As she walked down the corridor and into the vaulted ceiling room she saw the meeting table and smiled, had she been summoned for another reason? Her ambition? It was no secret that she wanted to climb the ranks of the organisation, and she was good at her job, to be summoned to a meeting attended by Aktur Seii Aktur Seii himself was fascinating. She greeted the head of the organisation first with a bow of the head "Good evening, Reeva Jiondee, attending as instructed, but please call me Jester if it pleases you." She had a wicked grin on her face as she looked the man in the eye, showing respect without meekness.

Sitting down at an unallocated seat, Jester greeted the man opposite her on the table, if her guess was correct, he would be Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji . She had not met the man, but reputations got around in the organisation. "Hi, I'm Jester, is it Xyoz?" she reached into her picket and pulled out a small pack of lozenges, popping one into her mouth, it was low dose Ryll spice and Jester's eye's sparkled as she felt the anaesthetic effect quickly wrapping around her nerves. It was enough dose to give her an edge, but not so much to dull her senses. Although before taking the dose she had not realised just how nervous she was about the meaning of this mysterious meeting.

The Spire
The plan to assault the prison complex on Stygeon Prime was not a complicated one. A cloaked shuttle laden with explosives would crash into the side of the massive prison tower. Another shuttle would enter through the hole created by the first.

Direct and overwhelming power, a plan the Madclaw of Tojj could get behind.

Inside the second shuttle, Madclaw reached up and gripped the overhead railing as they raced toward their objective. The Spire sprouted from the desolate tundra, a finger pointed toward the sky. This was not the first time he had been to the Spire. But it would be his first without stun cuffs around his wrists.

“The Shrouded Path will set you free…”

The Wheel had always been an interesting place.

Filled with all kinds of organizations, business deals, sentients and underworld elements. Butcher had been to the space station numerous times, especially through his youth and early Black Sun career. So it made a kind of twisted sense that he would end up here again, but this time to plow through the place, and ready to crack some Nova skulls.

"We got clearance," Butcher muttered, as he listened to the comm device he held near his mask. He turned to the other Enforcers nearby. "Gotta love when a bribe comes through, eh?"

Behind him, the personnel transport interior was filled with rows and rows of Black Sun Soldiers. The armored sentients were in the process of final checks for their weapons and gear. Butcher had to admit the underworld force looked good, the Nova's didn't know what was coming for them, and Black Sun would take a slice of the Wheel more directly by the end of the day...

"You guys ready?"

Butcher glanced back to his fellow leaders, a smirk evident under the mask by the tone of voice.

"When we land... we go in hard and don't stop til it's done."

With a chuckle, Butcher reached into his white suit jacket and pulled out his hand cannons.

He couldn't wait.

Week Three

"And that, my friends, is another round won. Time to pay up."

As it turned out, prison wasn't actually the worst place to be, unless you of course counted the sub-par meals and the threat of solitary or a sharpened chunk of metal in your back. In the vast collection of scum and villainy currently on display, an Umbaran was a rather uncommon sight considering the species had largely isolated itself on its homeworld and a select few other worlds. It was far rarer to find someone smiling in this wretched place, but Vero had found himself on a lucky streak playing Pazaak, one of the various way's a being could make credits behind bars, so long as the guards received a cut of the winnings. Gathered in the back corner of the common area, a makeshift table was in place, and aside from Vero, three other creatures were trying their luck. A Rodian scammer who had inadvertently killed several creatures by selling "miracle cures", a human gangster that found himself as the loose end on a failed heist that left several beings injured and a security officer dead, and finally the most infuriated of the bunch was a trandoshan who, like so many others of their kind, enjoyed hunting Wookies and collecting their pelts, failing to realize they weren't exactly fashionable in polite society. Vero had left the lizard all but destitute after several rounds and he wasn't exactly pleased.

"You cheat! I'll rip your spine out!"

The trandoshan suddenly lept to his feet, ready to lunge at the Umbaran, though Vero simply leaned back and smiled, directing the enraged being to take his seat.

"Come now there's no need for that, sit down and I'll give you a chance to win everything back. Besides, you really don't want to deal with my friends."

With a snarl, the trandoshan looks around the common area to find no other beings that seemed to be of the same species or even aligned with Vero, and so he returned his gaze to the man who had seemingly cheated him.

"You have no one. I have many friends and they will be paying you a visit."

Vero watched as the lizard stormed off, the smile he'd been wearing fading away into a quiet rage, he took threats to his life rather personally and made a note of this slight. Put simply, a threat was something he would repay with action. But the trandoshan was right, Vero was not part of any clique or prison gang. He relied on his own strength until now, but he wasn't a match for the trandoshan and his brothers. He was going to need friends.

Luckily enough, it seemed a new creature was being tossed into the fray, one who seemed to have an immediate effect, mostly frightening the scum who were hoping for easy pickings, only to be met by a massive creature that seemed quite capable of killing everyone in the room with ease. Vero stood, taking the credits that he had most assuredly earned by cheating and making his way toward the new arrival. While most of the other prisoners were busy gawking at the creature and making sure to stand out of its way, Vero presented himself, though he was careful to not appear threatening. He simply wanted to make an introduction.

"
Based on that look on your face you seem eager to kill. Might I offer a chance to kill everyone aside from those in this room? Maybe even breathe fresh air again?"

Cedwyn had decided to join the Black Sun, the people had been of some interest from the bar night. To see them in action was the next step in his view of how he truly felt about being a part of a larger organisation. The Jedi had failed to protect him as a child and the Sith had failed to break him and make him stronger, so he was use to preferring the lone wolf path that he had forged for himself. Instead he was finding himself working with a gang and participating in a gang war. Well, to call it a war was to acknowledge that the other gang stood a chance. This was more a hostile takeover and it was going to be a great deal of fun since Cedwyn could unload a lot of his Force powers and stretch his skills that he had been holding back for a long time now.

Looking at Butcher, he recognised him as one of the stronger shock boxers at the bar. It was a positive sign since he seemed a capable fighter and seemingly in charge of the group of Black Sun soldiers. Cedwyn nodded his head to the man, with a smirk etched on his own lips. A pistol in his right hand, he ignited the Lightsaber in his left. The deep purple blade lit up and Cedwyn grin grew as he remember the feeling of holding a Lightsaber in his hands once more. It was a good feeling and he was excited to demonstrate his skills and powers to the other members of the Black Sun. Stepping forward, Cedwyn sensed forward of the dangers that may lay ahead and where the Force resonated through the bodies of their enemies.

"Well, shall we show these small timers why the Black Sun deserves this station more than them?" Cedwyn chuckled, "Happy to take your lead Butcher, let me know if you need cover support." Few could stand up against a Lightsaber and he doubted the rival gang had the tech to resist him. They might have had a chance to overwhelm him if he came to the mission alone but he was not alone so felt confident in his strategy.

Kill them all. Simple plan.

This was turning out to be her least favorite job so far. Oh, sure, it had been a blast breaking into a senator's office on Coruscant itself. She had learned so much in the twenty minutes she gave herself before purposefully tripping an alarm. Everything after that? It was so dull and cold in the Spire. It had been child's play to meet and update the individuals her outside contact had pointed her towards. The prison dynamics were interesting but the majority of inmates in her section had comparatively petty crimes and relied too much on brawn over brain. A month in and she might have... incited a minor disturbance at mealtime and, with the assistance of a lovely corrupt guard, gotten herself kicked to a section with more inside contacts.

Three months later and the same guard slipped her a note under the guise of a room search. Two days later and she found herself being injected with just enough bacta to prevent an infection for her shiny new stab wound. To call it a proper medical facility would be akin to calling the Spire a pleasant Nubian vacation, and for some reason the security was abysmally lax in comparison to the rest of the complex.

Of course she took advantage of it and got herself reassigned to a third section.

Nira know that was the last time she could do so without drawing the sort of attention she didn't need from the guards who weren't part of the same scheme as her. And so, resigned to boredom again, she made contact with the last few individuals she needed to and started the waiting game.

She stopped really paying attention to the time passing and consoled herself with the fact that this would be a bigger payout than she'd seen in ages. It should be, at least, she thought sourly, gaze flickering to the door as a large being was escorted through it. The past... while had seen her quietly slip into the background of most prison dynamics, her position a slouch with feet kicked up on any nearby chair or table. Once, fondly memorable, an extremely irritated cathar who tolerated it solely because she was their ticket out of here.

Interesting. Nira couldn't quite recall what species the large bi-pedal feline was but he certainly cut an impressive figure. Someone else took an immediate interest in the newcomer, however, so she rolled her eyes and turned away to brush an absent hand over one pant leg. It currently held the keycard a guard had slipped her earlier that morning in a hidden pocket. With it had come with a note, already discarded.

Soon

Soon she could actually put her skills to use and finish this job.

"Icoh, my dear," she said, sending the cathar at her side a lazy grin, "would you grab the cards before they become collateral damage? I have a feeling things are about to get interesting." He turned away from the newcomer to shoot an irritated look in her direction, but was just as reluctant to leave the common area's only full deck of cards out in the open as her. Nira started an idle chatter with her other table mates despite the tension growing in the room. By the time Icoh had returned, she had drawn them into complaining about the abysmal prison rations, always with one curious eye on Vero and the newbie.

The Black Sun was rising.

The Hutt coalition had shattered with the right amount of pressure applied at the right moment.

Back then the Empire had felt invincible to Baize, an Overseer of the ISB, and official party member. On the straight and narrows... as far as anyone else was aware of anyway. But just as the Hutts were decimated in the span of a single moment, so too did the Empire shatter. As a surprise, a shock and awe event that wiped the nation off the Galactic scene.

It enabled greedy creatures to crawl out of the shadows and into the open. Maximilian one of them. In his role as Overseer in the ISB he had been keeping meticulous stock of the warehouses and logistic systems spread through the imperial nation. Systems that were vital for the war effort. An effort that had persisted from the moment they were born to the day of their death. As Baize saw it it would be a waste to let all that go to waste. So what if the Imperator had fallen years ago and replaced (or usurped) by a force user. Sometimes... you just had to make the best of things. If he could make the best of it for himself and his men?

All the better.

Contrary to the others Max did not sit down. He wasn't a Vigo. More like a persistent associate of the Black Sun, who had access to a wealth of contracts and industry that could make the difference between the Sun's continued rise... or a sudden stalled movement.

He clapped politely when Aktur introduced the newest Vigo to the council and listened politely at the back and forth. It was bold to immediately throw the Hutts in front of the grav-train, but perhaps Xyoz assumed they would never return or if they did, they wouldn't hear about this. But perhaps that was why Xyoz was a Vigo and Max was... Max.

"My organization would like to extend congratulations to your victory." Finally addressing Aktur while the addict spoke to the addiction supplier. "For a while it seemed like the Hutts would dominate the criminal enterprise for years to come, but your decisive maneuvering seems to have put a stop to that."

Max nodded there in appreciation.

"We are curious, what are your next steps? Are you aiming to keep to the Consortium's old domains or perhaps your ambition lays somewhere higher?"

The Spire
It happened quickly, a tidal wave of sudden violence.

Too late did anti-air defenses swivel toward the sky, chattering red bolts of death into the air.

The shuttled-turned-fireship slammed into the side of the Spire in a massive fireball, creating a gaping hole in the side of the structure.

Madclaw's ship followed some distance behind. Blasterfire poured up at the heavy attack shuttle, but the boosted shields held. Leaning out the side of the shuttle bay, he saw a missile contrail streak up from the ground. The hulking Wookiee held out a clawed hand, grasped the missile mid-air with the Force, then sent it straight back to its point of origin in another, smaller fireball.

He activated his greatsaber and the crimson bar sprang to life in his hands. The shuttle screeched through the still-burning hole in the side of the Spire and Madclaw leapt out, rushing toward the nearest set of stairs as panicked imperial prison guards started to respond. His greatsaber cleaved in among them as he cut his way through with the ease of an unleashed lion among so many hapless mice. Steadily, he and the other Black Sun operatives began making their way to the central levels.

Sinder stood in silence for a few moments, stewing in his anger. He was so caught up in his frustration, he almost didn't hear the man approaching him. The Trianii had his back turned to the Umbaran as he spoke. This wasn't the first time someone in this prison had made conversation with Sinder. Someone of the mercenary's stature stuck out everywhere he went, but in prison it was like a beacon to those who were weaker. In exchange for protection, prisoners offered him almost anything he wanted in return. He found it beneath him- to protect those who were not willing to die for their honor. That was why he didn't give merit to Vero's words at first. After the Umbaran finished his sentence, however, Sinder sniffed the air, taking in the scent of the man speaking. This person approaching him didn't smell of piss and fear like the rest of them.

"If I thought it was possible to escape here, no one and nothing would get in my way." He said flatly. While Sinder wanted nothing more than to use his claws and rip through every person here just to get to freedom, he figured the number of guards with guns would be a quick way to end up dead like everyone else. That was, unless, Vero Kene knew something he didn't. "Something about your eagerness leads me to believe you have information I do not." With that, Sinder turned around to face Vero. The Trianii looked down at him, huffing his breath and flaring his nose. Not wanting to appear to snarl, but using the natural intimidation to ensure if Vero wasn't being sincere, he would think twice before trying to lie to Sinder.

"There is another in this sector I seek." The mercenary's eyes trailed behind Vero, toward the rest of the prisoners. The entire month Sinder had been stowed away in solitary, he had made connections with a guard who hinted at being open to some play. He mentioned to Sinder that if he were to give him some credits, he would be able to get Sinder whatever he wanted. He also told him that when he was being released, he should look out for Nira Valis Nira Valis . The guard told Sinder that she was able to pull strings and get people things they needed. That was who he had come to this cell block for, she would be integral to getting him out of this hellhole.

"Her name is Nir-" Before Sinder could finish his sentence, a giant explosion sounded somewhere deeper in the Spire. It shook the ground they were standing on and immediately set off every alarm in the entire prison.

"LOCKDOWN, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CELL.
LOCKDOWN, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CELL."

The voice over the intercom repeated the sentence over and over again.

"Well, this is interesting." He walked toward to Vero, getting closer to the divider between them. "They never unlocked my cell." Sinder extended his right paw out toward Vero, letting loose the full length of his claws. "If you get me out of here, I will take down the guards." His voice turned into a deep rumble, the bass from it seeming like that of a wild animal.

There wasn't much that happened around Parvati that she didn't catch wind of. She had her fingers in every pie she could find, even if some of them burned her. Her girls had started to take root in the Black Sun, her clubs making for great business meeting locations. This meant that those with loose lips would tend to talk eventually, spilling all sorts of secrets they were never meant to tell. Most of them were tall tales, others were not worth the mistress's time. Sometimes, however, there was a nugget of information that would make its way to the top. One of these tidbits was a nudge in the direction of an important meeting between the Vigos of the Black Sun. It was a fleeting rumor, but something in Parvati made her believe it was real.

She spent the next few days pulling what strings she had to discover the meeting's location. While not holding any official title among the organization, Parvati never downplayed her contributions. She had a lot of connections, and her clubs and other ventures got the Suns into almost every corner of the galaxy in some way or another. While with the Hutts, Parvati preferred to stick to the shadows, giving the Hutts their cut in Hutt Space, but never solidifying a relationship with them. The Suns, however, were a galaxy wide operation. If she had the option of gaining their trust and resources, she knew she would be able to extend her cloud of influence even farther into the galaxy.

That was why she decided she had to attend this meeting. Once she found the location, it wasn't hard to figure the rest out. She eventually told those higher up within the organization that she had figured out where the meeting was and her interest in attending. Luckily she caught their eye with her ability to use her resources to her advantage. They also threatened her that if she did anything like that again, they would have her killed. Thankfully for her, they were smart enough to know she was an asset rather than a liability. Soon after they extended her an invitation to the meeting, she was to be picked up and escorted by armed guard. She figured this was to ensure a -strict- security screening.

Soon enough Parvati arrived at the secure location. She immediately took in the drama of her surroundings. Being one to enjoy opulence, she was very impressed by the giant ceilings and gorgeous attention to detail. The guards were sure to give her another good pat-down before letting her off of the shuttle. The mistress then made her way toward the doors where the meeting was being held. She took a deep breath and let it out to try to calm her nerves. It was rare for her to get stage fright, but she felt like she was going to a job interview that was life or death. The Suns weren't usually fond of people who didn't impress them on the first try.

Parvati shook the nerves off before the doors slid open to reveal her to the rest of those in the meeting. She had decided to dress a little more conservatively today, however, still sticking true to herself. Instead of her usual black and purple catsuit, she decided to wear a neatly tailored black leather suit. Her hair was still fashioned in her iconic bob, and her shoes were still her usual black leather boots. She quietly stepped forward into the meeting room. She realized she had arrived late, which was something most people did not appreciate.

"I apologize for my late arrival." She looked across the room, noticing a few familiar faces, including the head of the Black Sun himself. "My name is Parvati, mistress of the House Of Parvati." She moved forward once again toward the group.

"Oh you're right, there wasn't a way out of here... well, until today that is. See, I'd like to leave just as much as you. A new partnership, temporary or otherwise, will be key to our success."

Sinder Sinder was quite the intimidating thing, especially up close. But Vero's initial reaction had been correct, there was an intellect to the murderous rage, all Vero had to do was ensure that the Trianii was in front of him rather than pursuing him. So far things seem to be going rather well in that regard. What was more interesting was that his new partner was after someone else within the same block, perhaps another to bring into their newly established conspiracy? Vero watched as the Trianii's eyes moved about the crowd behind him, eventually turning his own head to scan the various beings that were held captive in this section of the prison. Just as he was about to get a name fate stepped in and forced Vero to move his plans up. Turning back to the Trianii, the Umbaran listened to the new proposal with glee.

"I'm certain you'll kill more than just the guards, just make sure that you don't gut me in the process."

After a momentary pause, Vero considered the identity of the being that his new partner had nearly let slip before snapping his fingers. There were very few female inmates on this block, and most weren't worth considering (though that went for most of the scum in the prison itself) but there was one that Vero had laid eyes on and heard various rumors about, though hadn't actually spoken to before.

"I'll be just a moment, I believe you and I are after the same woman. I'll get her to cooperate, you just get ready to kill. Oh and see that group of lizards over there?" Vero gestured off to one side of the cellblock where a group of four Trandoshans gathered, their leader the very same creature who had so recently threatened the Umbaran's life "Rip them apart for me and you'll be nicely rewarded. Besides, they'll just get in our way."

Once his partner offered his response, Vero gave a quick nod and rushed through the unraveling chaos as the speaker continued to blare and various other prisoners began to gather a riot was in the making and that was something that they needed to get ahead of instead of getting caught up in it. Eventually, Vero neared his goal in the form of Nira Valis Nira Valis , a true unknown but hopefully, the chaos would be enough to get her involved.

"Miss Valis?" Vero began, carefully monitoring his surroundings "My new partner and I are rather tired of this place. Truth be told, my partner is ready to kill his way out of here and I want to enable him to do this, so long as he clears a path. The only problem is that he is currently stuck in his cell. I am led to believe you might be able to help us with this issue and in return, you are more than welcome to stand with me behind our friend as he makes our escape all the more simple."

Vero turns to look at the crowd of prisoners, taking careful note of the Trandoshans that were now beginning to look his way.

"This is a rather time-sensitive offer. So if you might help us oh about right now I would be forever grateful."

Nira set about absently shuffling the cards she had been handed. There were quite a few games she could draw her companions into with this particular set, but they would all require a bet of some sort and she was too intrigued with keeping an eye on her surroundings to play. She settled with flicking the cards into the start of a solitary trick game she had forgotten the name of.

In between one breath and the next, the Spire shuddered.

A sharp grin quickly grew as she scooped the cards up and into a pocket in one smooth motion, turning intently to Icoh. He was one of only a few others who did not seem thrown off-guard by what had to have been attack on the prison. Nira locked eyes with another near-human and waved them over. The three of them started weaving through the mobs beginning to form. Her goal was the near-hidden side door a few of the guards had disappeared into. From what she remembered being told, the hallway beyond had a few doors, one of which held the control room for this sector. A lock-down would slow down her progress in gaining control of it but she had faith in her abilities.

A snarl from the cathar at her side warned her of another's approach. She listened with half an ear, resting a hand against the control panel and searching - there. The sense-memory gave her impressions of the code to go with her key card. "Being that worried must not be good for your health," she said with a quick swipe and tap on the panel. "Don't call me miss, and if your friend wants free he'll have to wait a few more moments. Prison teaches patience, I'm sure you both have plenty of it."

A couple of bodies lay slumped in the hallway. Nira made a face at the mess but continued on, passing two doors before turning to the one on the right. She knocked politely and stepped forward as soon as it slid open. Two guards on Black Sun's payroll were struggling to lift the automatic lock-down procedure; she rolled her eyes and went to work. It truly did take her a few precious moments to stop the alarms from giving her a headache, as well as pick and choose which of the prisoners locked in their cells were allowed free. Sending a quick message to whoever was doing a similar job in a nearby section, Nira turned to Vero with the same sharp grin she had turned on Icoh earlier.

"Well, let's not leave your friend waiting, shall we?" Along the way back, she couldn't help but finally allow herself to be thankful she had managed her first transfer. That had been the entry point of choice it seemed, and she didn't fancy dying in prison. Once they reached the common area again, the near-human brightened at the chaos that had erupted and abandoned them to join in. "Ah, it seems the guards realized we aren't in lockdown like we're supposed to be. What did you say your friend's name was?" It was... certainly a sight to see him free of his cell. It would be much easier to move to her next location if she didn't have to wade through the riot in progress.

Sinder let loose a vicious snarl when Vero fled toward Nira. He took mental note of where he was going, just in case the Umbaran decided to double cross him. For now, however, it was time for him to make an exit plan. One way or another, Sinder was going to get out of this prison and off this planet. Whoever decided to blow a hole in the side of the building would likely be heavily armed, but push come to shove, Sinder knew he would be able to overpower most creatures in this prison. He hopefully could make light work of them and steal one of their ships. Especially after he looted some of the dead security guards and stole their weapons.

The Trainii's keen eyes scanned the crowd of people now enveloped in chaos. There were random blaster bolts flying as the inmates took their chances with the guards. A few of the confused and panicked guards were grappling with the inmates, but most were shooting them down in a matter of moments. Sinder could spot at least five guards in the ward at the time with backup almost certainly on the way. This meant he had a small window to get a working blaster rifle and get in position to hold off the reinforcements. There were a few ideal spots for cover that could support Sinder's mass. He took mental note of those as well, now it was time to focus again on the two responsible for his freedom.

Before he knew it, however, he had lost track of them. They had seemingly slipped away into a back room as the mercenary was staking out the rest of the area. Sinder's rage was reaching a tipping point, his claws were now fully extended as he used them to beat on the blast-door in front of him. His sheer mass, coupled with the strength of his claws were leaving scratches in the door. It wasn't going to be enough to break through, however. The Trainii then leaned his head back and let out a blood curdling roar that shook the cell he was in and those around him. Dispite the pandemonium underneath, the prisoners would be able to at least feel the wrath they were about to witness.

"I will tear my way out of this cell if I have to!" The now raging Sinder screamed as he charged full speed toward the door, rattling it, causing the cell to shake even more. He screamed once more, ready to throw his full weight at it again. Before he started charging, however, there was a hiss and suddenly the door opened. Sinder's ears went back as he focused his bloodlust into pure adrenaline. His full toothy snarl was now on full display. He slowly walked forward onto the balcony of the prison ward, his tail flicking behind him as he took count of those before him. There was a calculated evil behind his eyes.

This was about to become fun.

The hulking beast threw himself on top of the railing before him, holding onto a post for support. He looked back toward the crowd, this time seeing the two responsible for his release down below him. Sinder nodded his head toward Vero and Nira to thank them for their end of the bargain, now it was time for his end of the deal. Using the extreme strength of his legs, the Trainii leapt into the air from the railing. He let out another monstrous roar on his way down, this time however, everyone in the ward would be shaken by its ferocity.

With a loud bang Sinder landed next to one of the Trandoshans Vero had mentioned previously. The roar mixed with the realization of sure death left the lizard stunned. He had a look of shock on his face as his rib cage was torn apart by the Trianii's ferocious claws. Swiftly after cleaving his first target down, Sinder used his powerful jaws to rip through the next Trandoshan's neck. His blood spraying across the wall beside him. It was about now that almost every prisoner and guard in the ward had their focus on Sinder. "Kill them!" He bellowed into the air as he pointed his clawed paw at two of the security guards near the exit. With that, he ran after them himself, gaining momentum as they shot at him, one of the shots grazed the fur on his arm. He leapt into the air and landed on one of the two, making short work of his light armor. Sinder ripped the gun from his bloody corpse and lifted it high in the air.

"Follow me." He turned toward Vero and Nira, "We will kill whoever gets in our way."

"My apologies, no more miss."

Vero turned again to the turmoil around him, specifically the hulking beast that hungered to kill, before turning back to find that he was going to have to catch up to the newest member of the prison-break conspiracy that was quickly becoming a prison-wide event. He moved quickly, finding that he picked the right woman for the job, a job he had no roll in planning apparently. By the time he did catch up, he found himself in a security room alongside two guards who weren't exactly moving to attack them which could only mean he'd been left out of the extensive planning that went into a prison break. He might have been more upset if not for the fact the chaos that was currently breaking out was his key to freedom so he would forgive this slight. Vero could not help but return the same grin his companion was sporting, moving to fall in-line alongside her as they returned to the common area to find a warzone, guards and prisoners locked in combat, though there was a fair amount of gang violence now that there was no one to stop them from ending petty rivalry's with violence.

"You know I never got that far. But he did know you, and I made a proper introduction so I believe we are safe from what's coming."

With a smirk, Vero watched the now free Trainii introduce himself to the riotous crowd, reveling in the slaughter but also courteous enough to thank his two companions for their work, even if Vero had a rather small role. It seemed fortune had smiled on the Umbaran as the very same lizard that had wronged him earlier found himself facing a far more deadly foe along with the rest of his clan.

"I believe we should follow him."

He wasted little time in catching up to the beast currently clearing a way through the crowd, a few stragglers attempted to get in his way but they were quickly dealt with via the hidden blade that Vero had carefully concealed in his sleeve. As one guard was quickly dispatched by the Trainii, Vero was quick to slam into the other while he was distracted, pinning him to the wall as he forced the blade into his exposed neck. With that move he had acquired the other guards blaster, though he was rather keen on his new friend doing most of the killing for him.

"Ah now that's my favorite kind of plan! The faster we get out of here the better, I want some real food and room I don't have share."

With that, Vero fell in alongside his companions and readied his newly-acquired weapon. With any luck, whoever was causing ruckus in other section of the prison had already secured a ship and was eagerly awaiting a band of three who just so happened to be looking for an exit. As they pushed on, Vero looked to the Kiffar and decided to prod into just how she managed to pull off that little trick.

"Now I do usually prefer silence when I'm killing, but do you mind telling me just how you made all this happen? I thought I was a few steps ahead but you seem to have me beat."

Aktur smirked at the Hyena's words.

"Black Sun is very thorough, we understand too many mynocks spoil the soup... the Hutts did not."

It had been a problem the Consortium had faced since the start, with the Gorba allowing other cartel lords to operate in his space, rather than taking it all or absorbing them into service. That had given way to many alternative alliances, especially with the Consortium as the target at the top, and the threats had continued to increase unaccounted for. In comparison, Black Sun was a single entity; and it would crush anyone that sought to create waves that rocked Black Sun operations.

"Excellent," the Head of Black Sun nodded, at the report. "If you require additional resources to expand further, it can be done."

Aktur wanted Xyoz to lock down the spice market, or at least provide a considerable portion galactically.

Then it was time to greet one of the newer - though potential filled - members of the syndicate, who appeared to be a green-skinned Mirialan. The introduction was short, respectful, and Aktur held some hope that Reeva would prove as capable as he suspected. All that remained was for time to tell.

"A pleasure, Reeva," Aktur said with a nod, as he observed her with dark eyes. "Excuse the cloak and dagger, but we need to maintain some degree of clandestine measure, so as to avoid a fate similar to criminal empires in the past. Welcome to the big table... hopefully you prove suitable to the seat. So, tell me, what you can offer Black Sun? What do you bring to the table for the syndicate?"

As the meeting continued, Aktur planned to return and glean some more detail about Reeva.

"Ah, Mr. Baize, thank you for attending," Aktur said to the humanoid across the way, the man with the Imperial contacts, who's ingenuity made him a valuable associate. "Good questions, certainly. Unfortunately the Hutts felt compelled to remain in their space, to centralize and dominate on a local scale, despite each cartel lord working to undermine the other. It was a bold choice, though weakened the whole. Yet--"

Aktur smiled.

"--Black Sun has plans to expand well beyond the Hutt worlds. Currently our various arms are spread throughout the galaxy, with many establishing new businesses or expanding on existing ones. Our influence and control isn't solely reliant on underworld methods, as we have cultivated legitimate holdings to offset - and support - various financial requirements... as you can undoubtedly deduce, we plan to spread throughout the galaxy into every shadowport, smuggling hovel and gambling moon that exists."

Black Sun wouldn't hide; and the next question would likely give even more context to Maximilian's curiosity.

"And that means your business as our associate is now even more valuable and appreciated. How goes your efforts, Mr. Baize? And what of your capability to procure larger vessels - frigates, capital ships, and the like?"

Then focus shifted to the final guest that had arrived later than others, one that had caught Black Sun's attention through such subtle means, but with enough resourcefulness to warrant the opportunity. And it wasn't as though Black Sun was unprepared, information wasn't often leaked without reason, and it had been fortunate - and promising - to see that ploy yield results.

"Welcome, Mistress Parvati," Aktur said as he gave the humanoid careful consideration, observant as ever. "I am pleased to see you took advantage of the information leak. That shows how much you can do with so little. Beyond that, I am curious about the House of Parvati... tell us more?"
