"Well shi..." was all Ayme managed to mutter before being backhanded by the metal abomination and tossed several meters away. The blow shook her senses and forced her to take several precious moments just to get the room to stop spinning. The metal monster moved with impossible speed towards her, ripping desks and chairs out of its way. Ayme hastily climbed to her feet and ignited her blade swiping upward in an arc just catching the wrist of the creature, which didn't seem to phase it even slightly. She yelled and her fist connected with its metal face with a sicking crack. She could feel the bones grind together as she unclenched the fist and wrapped her hand around the enemies neck.

With more effort than she would have given herself credit she focused her breathing and reached out with the Force. She could feel the enemy struggle against her grasp, but deeper she felt the energy that coursed through its components until she reached something that screamed hydraulics and she pulled. The eyes still glowed red but the body in her hand went completely slack. She smirked as she raised the saber in her other hand and drove it slowly through the metal beasts forehead.

With a gasp of air she released the body and looked around the room to see three more watching her curiously. "At least one of you could have brought beer to the party." Ayme rolled her eyes and motioned to the other padawans as she sprinted towards the rest of the machines. Explanations for what was going on would have to wait, for now they had to get to the others and fast.

Jacen's hands reached for a hand cannon that wasn't as his belt. He had to focus now. Too many were depending on him and the slightest slip was clearly going to be fatal. He'd already made too many mistakes.

As he was dragged down he could both arms around the neck of his assailant. Jacen used that grip and as they went down the leverage yanked the Sithspawn's neck with more pressure than it could handle. Head rolled down, neck came up with a sickening crunch. It seemed their skeleton and nervous system were both relatively organic and vital.

Before the second could reach him his saber had been drawn back to his hands. A single upwards swipe made the mark this time. Yet more followed in its wake.

Trix's grenade went off, stemming the tide for now. The Marshall erected a simple force barrier to block to hail of debris.

Slowly he backed towards the elevator shaft. Through his Force bond he could sense Ayme's troubles. Things were not going well on the upper levels. Jacen came to a halt, doors firmly closed behind him. There was a dull rumble. A group of Sithspawn approached in a tight knot, clearly waiting for the right moment to charge.

There was a quiet 'ding'.

"This is your stop boys," Jacen called as he dropped to the floor. Behind him, the wall erupted. Under his telekinetic grip the elevator smashed through the wall and launched itself across the floor. The whole group of Sithspawn became little more than a black smear across the ground.

Jacen picked himself back up, his clothes now covered in dust. He backed into the elevator shaft, took one glance up and then used the Force to launch himself up to Ayme's floor where he started to pry the doors open.

Ayme raised her hand towards the terminal station closest to the metal monsters. With a quick redistribution of power the terminal blew up giving her just enough time to dive for cover. After the Sithspawn regained their equilibrium a volley of blaster fire erupted in the room.

Ayme muttered to herself as she reached over to grab a CPU that had fallen to the floor near her. “Come to Sullust he says, I’ll teach you things he says, then you’ll spend the rest of your life being shot at by feking cyborg sith gorram things. Left that part out.” The energy in the small components she combined started to hum, breaking her from her rant. “Ah crap.” She quickly tossed the device over her shoulder in the general direction of the Sithspawn just before it exploded. “That was close Ayme, next time don’t blow yourself up huh.”

The sound in the room abruptly changed, her ears were still ringing from the close explosion but the blaster fire seemed to have changed direction. A scream of metal on metal then the distinct hum of a lightsaber broke into the dim. Ayme crawled to the side of the desk just enough to see Jacen in the room slicing through the last of the Sithspawn with the rest of the padawans. “Heya Boss.”

Ayme’s eyes fell on Trix as she attempted to rise to her feet. “Hey pretty lady, come here often?” A wave of dizziness sent her clumsily back to the floor before she could hear Trix’s come back.
