Public Coronation Ball | Eternal Empire & Anyone

Death before dishonour!

Location: Zakuul

There have been rumours in the Eternal Empire for months that Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim will be crowned after the Empire acquires Zakuul. The same was true of the imperial wedding between the Empress and Lord AMCO AMCO . Everything was ready, the date was set. Although Vandiir had received the title of prince months before in the Empire and was one of the prince-consorts next to Tubrok Ragal, since the couple's wedding had taken place, it would have been the big, imperial wedding in front of the countless guests. Everything had to be varied at the last minute, due to the death of the prince. Thus, only coronation took place on this day.

In addition to the coronation, many other events took place on this day. The STRATCOM has announced the new Overlord in the person of Wulf Orlock Wulf Orlock , and several the STRATCOM executives are retiring and will soon nominate their successors. Last but not least, a new scientific position was created by the new Empress, partly commemorating the work of Prince Adrian Vandiir; the position of the Scientific Overseer. Of the six other positions (actually five, the sixth is the Overlord position), two seats were vacated by L'lerim as Empress, and one was filled by Orlock, who thus left his own Overseer position, meaning countless new leaders had to join the government. .

By turning Ingrid into an empress, this meant that her noble house became a royal / imperial house and all her family members received the rank of noble, because so far only Tubrok and Adrian have received this apart from her. Thus, months ago, both Ragal and Vandiir received the rank of prince instead of baron. In addition, Tubrok Ragal has been given the rank of Baron of Kalidan, with whom he can represent the planet in the Imperial Assembly. In essence, he became the most important baron in the Empire. Adrian, as a posthumous rank, was given the title of Baron of Vengard with marriage, which in his case would have been only formal, since the man was not a soldier and did not want to, only a nominal title. And Ingrid complied with what her husband asked.

There was another news, a joy, the Empress would have a child, from both her husbands, at the same time. And the children will automatically count as princes or princesses. Although, due to military society, it was far from certain any successor of the Empress would be the next ruler (only the case if they met the military requirements), but at least it could not happen here again, which is the case with Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe and Vyra Silara Vyra Silara , that they leave no descendant or heir behind.

acIF3fa.png

On the day of the coronation, in addition to the many announcements, the event also took place, invitations were sent all over the Galaxy even though the Empress didn’t want a big fuss. The Eternal Empire, by the way, had no intention of relocating its capital to Zakuul, only everyone agreed that this place was more imperial for a coronation and an imperial wedding than Kalidan. Well, that was true.

On this day, there were countless military parades and events in Zakuul, but the locals also prepared traditional celebrations and events for everyone in the city. Guests from all over the Eternal Empire and Galaxy arrived for today’s event. If someone could not come, they were not left out of anything either, because the event was broadcast on HoloNet on all the planets of the Eternal Empire and the Sith Empire, and was available elsewhere, although it is unlikely that anyone else would be interested in the events of such a small empire. In the Sith Empire, the broadcast was mainly because of Adrian Vandiir, although he could no longer attend here.

The coronation was quite simple, as they were soldiers, and the Empress did not want too much luxury either; the wedding would have been a big event today. At her own coronation, the Empress was present in a simple military uniform, which is so characteristic of her, no rank or luxury, all sorts of luxuries were adhered to, especially by the locals and the STRATCOM.

And after the coronation, balls, festivities, fireworks, and parades began in the Zakuul Palace and in the city, where everyone could find their own entertainment.

On this day, everyone was happy and cheerful, except for one person… the freshly crowned Empress.

Celebrations and ball to be held in the Imperial Palace. Here the nobility of the Empire attends the festivities, as does the Empress. In fact, anyone can come here if they want to have fun among nobles, nobility and high-ranking soldiers. The palace is huge, so there are countless opportunities to meet, make relationships, or chat with friends, dance, or find other entertainment.

The dress code is an evening / prom dress or military uniform. No one can bring a weapon. The Force is not blocked or weakened at this point.

4Ja9RwZ.png
This section is more for city dwellers and ordinary people who don’t want to have fun with the nobility or the military in the palace. Or they just can’t afford it. Countless vendors sell their portraits on the streets, street balls meet each other, crowds gathered in different squares and parks to have fun and celebrate. In a place like this, anyone can find their own entertainment.

There is no dress-code here, it can be a weapon for everyone, the only thing that is striking is the high military presence in the city.

acIF3fa.png

OOC: The faction thread is open to anyone who wants to join the thread. Members of The Sith Empire, Darkwire, Agents of Chaos, and the InterGalactic Banking Clan were able to join the thread without question.
Anyone other than these factions or groups can come and join without permission. On this day, even members of the Galactic Alliance can come, despite the war situation.

The day she had been preparing for a very long time was what she wanted. She hadn’t married Tubrok twice, AMCO AMCO would have been lucky. So in hindsight, Ingrid was very happy they decided to get married in a family “circle” before the events in Zakuul and plenty in Dantooine, where everything is really about them and not about politics, not about the contract. After all, by saying yes, the last clause of the TSE-EE peace treaty contract also became valid. The rest would have been just for the Galaxy. Conditional mode and past tense; for this could not have come to pass, the part which would have been for the galaxy. She would have worn the same wedding dress today what she had at the first wedding. That day was happy.

She, who has always been proud to perfectly control her emotions and can suppress everything on the morning of the coronation, sobbed and tore her wedding dress apart and threw it out in the trash. Cal and Tubrok could barely reassure her. She has managed to suppress pain, emptiness and grief pretty well over the last few weeks, she has failed today. She had been waiting for this day for months. Didn't feel the strength to make it through this day. At every moment, she waited for Adrian to show up and be here, as was the case at the wedding rehearsal, even before Dantooine.

But now nothing like had happened, but she managed to get through the day without anyone seeing how she felt. She was a good actress, she could play the role that everything was fine. Luckily, as a soldier, she didn’t have to smile much, it didn’t fit the tough-handed military commander. And with Adrian's death, the Galaxy couldn't see the happy bride, the woman. Just the cold, emotionless commander, the new Empress, a dictator.

For a time after the coronation, she was forced to accept congratulations as well as introductions. This was temporarily saved by the opening of the ball and ceremonies. It was the perfect time to disappear for a while. She was able to do this and also found a place where there were no guests and she could be alone. Here now the cold, insensitive gaze disappeared from her face, and she looked tired, infinitely sad, as she propped her back against the wall and slid to the ground. As she sat on the floor, she bent her knees and hugged them tightly.

In addition to the darkness, there were only a few trees in the room, real plants; huge windows overlooking the capital. And the room was lit only by the lights of the city and the fireworks. Now she didn’t seem at all the always cold, distant, strong-handed leader she usually did. Now she was what her family and few friends could see, she was a shattered, mourning woman. A sentient “human being” and not an insensitive something…

This entire celebration, the gathering of people seeking to garner favor from the Empress, was unfamiliar to Mikilanna. She had gone from Jedi Padawan to Sith Apprentice, from Sith Lord to Master of the Darkside, to standing next to the buffet table; indulging in flavor-style drinks. She wasn't drunk, but feeling a bit happier than she could ever fathom from the taste. She was new to the Eternal Empire, earning her pecking order among the Wardens; but many among the Empire knew little of her, and this suited her with an emotional prosperity. She was the unnamed monster in the shadows, doing the dirty work that others refused to accept was possible. The terms murderer and killer was one in the same; if one was intelligent enough to separate the differences in regards to what was required per individual orders.

Reaching back, the Warden accepted another drink from the bartender, both exchanging a wink. The future crowned Empress had set a mandate that all in attendance was to indulge themselves with "let your hair down" motives. Be free. Be happy. Be Responsible, purchase an (U)ber to get home safely.

But Mikilanna couldn't relax, only doing so in appearance; as was her secret pact with the head bartender, her drinks only water colored with food color to maintain an alcoholic beverage. To some, she was probably harboring a boring outing; to the Warden....she was watching....everyone.

Willow and Ivy came into the ballroom dressed as they were at the Sithmas Ball. There really wasn't a lot of clothes that the twins had, most especially when it came to fancy attire. Broka the Hutt Broka the Hutt allowed them to attend and of course they brought along their bodyguard Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure .

Walking arm in arm on stocking feet, the twins oggled the ballroom in all it's finery and decorations. They had never been to a coronation before and probably wouldn't be invited to one in the future. But for this one they were allowed, given the help that they had provided for Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim once Tactitus' ship was discovered. Traveling was dangerous, yet exciting for the twins too. It was also a learning experience. Their lives had been heavily sheltered, leaving them only with their Force visions to give them any insight into the rest of the Galaxy. Experiencing it first hand was at times amazing. Other times though, it was downright scary.

"I wonder if we'll see anyone that we know."

"Well we don't know a lot of people, Willow."

"I know, but we can be hopeful, can't we?"

"Yes we can. I just hope that there's not going to be any trouble."

"Oh there shouldn't be. Besides, Vyn is here to keep us safe." Willow glanced sidelong at the man, giving him a small smile.

"Maybe we'll find our little droid friend."

"Oh yes! BB-610 BB-610 was such a delight the last time. Did you bring the translater?"

"I sure did! Got it hidden riiiiiiiiight here." Ivy dug into the side of her cleavage of her corset and pulled out the little pocket droid translater. With a grin she slipped it back into place.

With a joyful series of giggles, the twins started searching around for their little friend, weaving in and out of the stuffy military personnel that tended to just ignore the strange pair. It was probably better that way, anyways. They didn't need too much attention directed to themselves anyways.

This was a complete waste of her time. Balls, parties, babies being born, funerals were all waste of time and natural resources, for who wanted to go on crying over the dead? The dead had no need for tears and Sanguine had no time nor will to attend a damned coronation. Yet, Sanguine chose to appear on this joyous occasion, Sanguine choose to smile as a dumb nincompoop on this joyous occasion, Sanguine choose to take three pills out of the bottle on this joyous occasion, so Sanguine wouldn’t run amuck and go on butchering every single damn guest that gave her a nod on this joyous occasion. Sanguine was in dire need of kissing the new monarch’s arse and wet her lips as she bent over to kiss those white human cheeks. For she knew a secret and knew that it was coming and the heavens on this galaxy would be damned if she would allow this opportunity to slip through her fingers as if it was made of smoke or guts. Guts slipped through everyone’s fingers.

Barnabas was just talking, nonsense and gibberish, he was in his office and spoke with someone that Sanguine wasn’t quite sure of who it was, but one thing was certain, the person knew things and he told Barnabas made her blush.

“Getting nervous are we, my lord Barnabas?”, the twi’lek so maliciously asked her superior as the elder male kept searching the ballroom and putting on a frown whenever he saw the Imperial Consort’s face somewhere. He simply kept elegantly walking, trotting with his cane as he slid his body across the marble floor, he was so graceful, so charming that it made her shiver on the idea of bathing that pale tone beneath their with the shade of his brains, splashed all over the guests. Nilbras gave her a muxoxo and diverged his attention, far away from her, leaving Sanguine Nocturnal, as she was now called completely alone in the middle of that room. The twi’lek called upon a servant and took one of the beverages on top of the silver plate, dipping a large sip inside her lips as her eyes fiercely analyzed the entire room. Without a single moment of rest, her eyes moved and Sanguine started to bite down her lower lip, rejoicing on the painful sharp tip of her snags.

By the Force did it have a twisted sense of humor. Tragedy could be brought down on anyone, yet like a chain of events one thing led to another. Rath had sought after his old master for months, and it was only until recently that Rath had an inkling as to what became of Ta'kir. Something about an artifact, but as to what that artifact was Rath had no clue. All he knew was that the artifact caused Ta'kir to leave the Empire and Wardens altogether. Granted there was the case that the artifact didn't exist, but it was the only lead Rath had so far. The only lead to the truth of the matter.

Today wasn't the time to worry about such matters as Rath chose to personally attended to the coronation. It was perhaps and hopefully the first coronation Rath has ever attended to. The downside of it all was that Rath had never been the type to be social. In the palace, where nobility and close friends congregated, Rath came dressed appropriately in a red & black tuxedo with a red handkerchief smooth as silk in his jacket pocket over his left chest. It wasn't much, he'd admit this, but frankly it was the only thing Rath had on his person that would be deemed as fancy. His dark hair, usually Rath let's it fall wherever it chose since by the end of the day Rath is usually covered in sweat or in some cases blood. Tonight, Rath chose to apply gel to keep his dark hair brushed back. His black dress shoes made the oddly satisfying clicks on the polished floor.

Despite his objective-oriented mindset, he holds the Eternal Empress with high respect both as a soldier and as a person. It was largely thanks to that respect that Rath attended the coronation in person to begin with. Last time he even toyed with the thought of wearing his tuxedo was when he almost went to a prom dance back in his academy days. The graduation dance as it were, but Rath chose not to attend at the last minute simply because he didn't want to. Not to mention he was pressured by Rath's friends in the academy, but they also pressured him into getting a date. His life as a Warden couldn't afford the risk of attachment, so he ended it altogether.

Tonight, Rath didn't come to the coronation as a Warden, but as Private Rath that had recently been admitted into the Spear corporation. He practiced a maneuver, a force ability rather to purposely disconnect himself from the Force. While some might take it as a sign of hiding his abilities, but really the truth was to disconnect himself from the Force just so he doesn't have to smell it. As odd as that sounds, Rath smelled what part of the Force was present, and usually he got around it by wearing a mask or helmet. Even so this trick also does the job, and so he was able to somewhat enjoy the coronation.

Rath found himself at the bar where he was in the process of drinking bourbon. Silently in celebration of Ingrid's claim to the throne, but it was also to pay his respects to Adrian. Frankly most of the people within the palace were faces Rath had, at most caught a glance before. Only a few that Rath at least heard of, and so Rath kept to himself. He wasn't a nobleman or anyone of high standing. Rather Rath had to claw his way up from being nothing into someone in the Empire. The conversations that occurred around him were mainly gossiping and exchanging pleasantries with one another. None of which were interesting to Rath.

A Coronation was something that most astromechs were unfamiliar with. A palace with no ship was a palace with no need of management or repairs, so the droid simply wasn't needed. So it was a good thing, BB-610 thinks, that he wasn't most astromechs. He had been insisted upon to attend, to make some friends. While public events were... intimidating, BB-610 knew first and foremost that secluding himself to the confines of the Agents of Chaos' base wouldn't help his confidence.

How bizarre, he ponders, as the droid rolls through the palace, hugging the corridor's walls. How bizarre that a droid can have confidence. BB-610 wasn't able to dress up for the occasion, for obvious reasons, but that didn't stop him from getting his chassis polished and cleaned ever so nicely. His jet black durasteel plating reflecting light beautifully, shiny and gorgeous. A brief scan as his antennae level themselves, and he realises that this is the entrance to the ballroom.

With hesitance, he inches inside. Alone, BB-610 is afraid, scared of his impulsive programming ruining the event. His cyan optic narrows, and one of the panels atop his flat head slides open to allow his lifeform scanner to emerge. A few second of scanning tells him just how many organics there are, and just how few he recognises. BB-610 is unfamiliar with almost all of them, except for-

A jolt of realisation, and the droid perks up as his photoreceptors focus in on Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy . In no time at all, BB-610 is speeding over across the room, dodging people's feet, until he rolls up in front of the twins, head tilted back to gaze up at them.

' It's you two! The two that helped me aboard The Vexillium! ' his beeping is higher pitched than normal, the droid's body wobbly with excitement! ' I'm so glad to see you again! This is delightful! ' Such a happy droid, twirling around their legs, giddy and content.

re3GLA.png

There he was! Both twins lit up at the sight of BB-610 BB-610 rolling towards them, nothing but the expressions of delight and joy were seen on their faces. Ivy was quick to dig out her translator before the two of them knelt down and gave the little astromech a couple of hugs.

"BB-610! Hi!"

"We're so glad to see you! How are you? Have you been staying out of tangles?" Upon their first meeting at the Sith ball, Willow and Ivy helped to get the little astromech out of a tangled mess of lights and decorations.

"Did you come by yourself? This is Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure , our bodyguard. He's a good protector." And the twins really needed the protection. There were some that claimed the twins to be slaves which needed to be freed. And others that wanted to experiment and physically separate the girls. That was their nightmare and biggest fear.

If a droid could smile, BB-610's would be from ear to ear. Well, if a droid had ears, too. He wasn't familiar with hugs, nor could he really return the sentiment for obvious reasons, but it made his circuits warm up. It was a common organic gesture, and the astromech's round body gave the twins ample room to wrap their arms around him at once. BB-610 beeps lovingly, unable to control his excited wobbles.

' You can understand me! ' he chirps, surprised. He doubts that Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy had learnt droidspeak in such little time, so he chalks it up to a hidden translation device. ' That's amazing. One of the downsides of about being an astromech is that more often than not, only pilots understand you. '

With the swirl of his head, he glances at Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure , optic narrowing. BB-610 wasn't sure why, but there was an irrational sense of possessiveness that washed over the droid. As if the organic hadn't been protecting them well. He'd known the twins for very little time, why did he feel this way? It wasn't in his right to even doubt their word; the iridonian seemed more than capable.

' Greetings, Vyn Daldoure. My designation is BB-610. Thank you for keeping these two safe. '

He'd turn to the twins in question, his optic softening.
' Now that you can understand me, you can properly introduce yourselves. I don't recall catching your names. '

re3GLA.png

Vyn walked behind Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy his eyes trained across the room, The guard had confiscated all of his weapons but in return insured him that there would be safety and little chance of danger, reluctantly he agreed.

He noticed Willow Look at him and smile, he returned it with his near-emotionless smile he would always give though with his face it was hard to tell whether it was sadness or just the way he smiles.
"Please girls don't mind me I'll be but a face in the crowd, so enjoy yourselves meet some new people, and make some friends." Before he could get his point across they were off like children looking for their puppy, and without a word, he followed after them.

Weaving his way past the EE members he was wearing his retired New Imperial dress uniform, Maroon slacks, and a white shirt underneath a grey suit jacket. several ribbons adorned his chest as well and a Marksmanship Commendation, where the rank should have been it was replaced with a maroon number seventeen in Aurebesh.

Catching up to the girls he slowed, looking down at the little metal ball on the floor, a BB unit, he had never worked with one before, but they were clearly happy to see the girls, friends came in all shapes and sizes. The girls Introduced him and gave their praise, BB-610 BB-610 began speaking to him, he had picked up droidspeak In the Military.

"It's a pleasure my friend. No thanks needed, I'd lay down my life for these two was it required of me. However I'm glad to see they found someone to mingle with, I'm not very entertaining when it comes to having company" He managed the smile back onto his face before scanning the room once again, then keeping his eyes on the girls.

"Yes, we can understand you! Isn't that great news!"

The twins stood up together, still beaming and sharing in the same joy that BB-610 BB-610 appeared to feel. Ivy glanced towards Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure as he instructed them to pay him no mind. But they were far too polite to just ignore him. He was their own hire, albeit with Broka the Hutt Broka the Hutt 's credits. But they had personally picked him out themselves. If they had wanted more bodyguards that spent most of their time just being silent shadows, then they'd of hired that sort of guards. But no, they had wanted someone that they could talk to. When danger was to arise, there was comfort in being with someone that they could feel safe with. And with someone that they knew.

It was good that he could speak droid as well. If their translater ever failed, they'd still have a way to communicate with their little friend.

"I'm Ivy and this is Willow. It's lovely to meet you. Did you come here with someone? Or are you by yourself?" They didn't recall seeing him with anyone else at the last ball. But that didn't mean that he didn't work for someone.

The twins were not exactly here for pleasure either. They were here as representatives of the Black Sun and to look after it's interests. It didn't hurt to mingle though, as that often helped to create more alliances and business deals.

There's another cute series of binary. BB-610 wasn't used to making friends, moreso just... being assigned to people. It wasn't in an astromech's code to make friends, or to feel. It was programmed to do its tasks and to have routine memory wipes to delete all traces of independence. Luckily, this little droid's gone years without one.

' Ivy. Willow. I'm unfamiliar with the percentage or qualities of organic designations, but... I'm sure those are both lovely names. ' BB-610 inches towards Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy again, head tilted. He seemed to be taking in the warm sensation of friendly chatter. With that, however, the droid shakes his head, following it up with a short string of low chirps.

Unfortunate, really.
' I am here by my lonesome. My Mistress has never been one for festivities, but she advised me to attend regardless. ' He gently rolls against Willow's leg, staring up at her, before sharing the same glance at Ivy. If he weren't a spherical ball of pure durasteel and countless gadgets and circuits, he wouldn't have minded being picked up to cuddle. The twins didn't seem particularly strong, however, so all he does is the astromech equivalent of paw at their feet.

' It's a good thing I did, too. I managed to meet you two again. I wanted to properly thank you, for helping me. I'm... not used to that. '

re3GLA.png

Oh how much the twins just wanted to sit down on the floor and see what kinds of games they could play with BB-610 BB-610 . The little astromech brought back their childlike innocence and besides themselves, they had never really played with anyone. And the little astromech was so CUTE!

This was a special event, however and so they had to do their best and try to act their ages and in the proper light that representatives of a big organization should. Still, it didn't stop Willow from reaching down and almost petting him. "We were sent to attend this event in place of another too. Our employer is a very busy Hutt that presides over many worlds. He can't be everywhere at once."

"So he has started to send us in his stead. It's a big responsibility and we are very lucky to have gotten this far in earning his trust. He's even given us a small salary!"

"Yes, isn't that wonderful? We can buy ourselves a little something while we're on this journey."

"Who is your Mistress?"

Ever mindful that Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure was watching over them, they did their best to try to do as he had instructed and just carry on as though he wasn't there. But it was difficult to do.

Dimitri entered quietly, jacket and vac-suit his own military uniform after setting aside the duo of weapons he usually kept on him. Not that the submachine gun or pistol would serve any purpose against those wielding the force. At least not.if Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter was the example to go by.

The fleet admiral quietly joined the throng of happy guests. Forcing a smile when needed and engaging in conversation politely when forced to do so.

He was silently miserable. He had lost people in the invasion of Byss, still holding onto old memories as he stood here in this place. Stood among the people cheering and generally happy about the going on's about them.

He paid little mind to those around him when possible. Gaze locked into the middle distance as he placed himself near a side window to avoid any large crowds. He nursed a drink in one hand when he remembered to do so, thoughts well and away from this moment of happiness as only a person unhappy with themselves could achieve.

He looked fine, hair perfect, uniform clean, face trimmed. All things done for him by his executive officer. Rimes had been concerned after the battle, checking on him and keeping tabs on the man.

The week before she had found him asleep in his office, one hand around an empty glass and the other holding the plaque of names. Taking it away had done little to assuage the slow self destruction she watched from afar. Managing to get her commanding officer wrangled in time to be cleaned up and presentable for this event.

His eyes were tired, brow drawn tight as he stared at nothing in particular. Memories and past battles played over in his mind, the laser fire over Byss flashing before his eyes as guests danced in front of him.

Eskk walked into the Royal Palace. He hadn't brought any weapons. He felt secure enough with his connection to the force. He was dressed up in his uniform that he hardly ever wore. Eskk hated the uniform. It was stuffy and restrictive. Eskk wished he could've attended in his regular attire, or better yet he could've skipped attending.

Eskk didnt like parties and celebrations. The only purpose for these events was to call attention to one's self. That was against the nature of an Anzati. Still, it had to be done. Everybody who was anybody was going to be here. It provided Eskk a rare oppurtunity to gather intelligence on who the player's in this game were.

Eskk wanted to be a player, so forming these connections would help his chances. At the very least, he'd have an idea of who to assassinate if his legitimate attempts at rising in the ranks failed. Eskk took a drink from one of the waitresses as they came by.

He didnt usually drink, but if he had to socialize, he understood that alcohol was typically used to make such things easier. It was worth a try. Eskk began to scan the room, looking for someone interesting to talk to.

He listened attentively to what Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy had to say. It was intriguing, truly. BB-610 had only known of a life aboard starships, followed by a life of aimless wandering. He hadn't seen much of the galaxy at all, so hearing of a Hutt was particularly interesting. The droid's head tilts, antennae rising and falling idly, like a dog's ears twitching.

' I haven't seen anything of Hutts outside of stories. What is it like, to belong to one? ' he could have perhaps phrased that differently. He wouldn't know any better, however. Astromechs are hardly treated with respect. They've always belonged to someone. Even BB-610, who has a much better developed independence than most astromechs, still had an "owner". He thought nothing of it.

His owner. His partner. The pilot he was assigned to during the invasion of Byss. The droid takes a few minutes to ponder, reflecting on the memories he had during the event. They had gotten off to a bumpy start. Even his assigned partner hadn't wanted him.

' She... her name is Bella Bella . She's a togruta pilot. I was assigned to her recently. '

Truthfully, the astromech was still a little shaken from the invasion. They were outnumbered, and many lives were lost to the opposing Galactic Alliance fleets. If he had any experience with battle during his time with the First Order, he wouldn't remember. Not a single cycle went by without a memory wipe under their care.

He had prayed that Bella would be different, and the two had certainly gotten closer over the course of the battle. They depended on each other, after all. He wasn't ready to give up on her, like people had given up on him.

Vyn could clearly tell BB-610 BB-610 was grateful to the girls and he clearly cared for them. Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy seemed to be more capable than he first guessed, be it he wasn't surprised by that fact, after all, they had survived this long with minimal help, a good quality.

Feeling his side flare up and took a breath, this one seemed tolerable still he'd prefer it if the old wouldn't flare up at all. Vyn watched as the droid rolled up to their leg, uneasy about the action he'd seen what droids could accomplish in terms of assassinations, but anyone interested in the girls wouldn't be looking to kill them, no they'd want them for power after all greed was a strong emotion, but Vyn let it slide after all they clearly knew him and didn't seem to mind.

He could tell his staring was bothersome, it was almost funny to watch the both of them be uncomfortable, he'd offer to get drinks for them but leaving their side wasn't really an option, he might as well try and enjoy himself.
"Well as a person with knowledge of human qualities, you're quite right Six-Ten they are indeed very nice names. I'd even say they're a peaceful bit of noise in a gala full of.. well darkness." Saying belonged to the Hutt might have them upset, but he understood it could be hard for a droid to comprehend employment, and he clearly expressed that when he mentioned their names.

Right about now, Vyn was getting less worried about the girls than he was about himself, Black Sun had plenty of allies and he doubted anyone would try anything in a gala full of EE military members, but that's just it, he was wearing a New Empire uniform in a Gala full of Sith Empire and Eternal Empire members, granted he was no longer part of the New Imperial Order, but still, right about now Vyn's Suit was feeling a few size's smaller with all the tension, and he was missing the weight of his blaster hanging on his hip.

Unlike what some might believe, Willow and Ivy weren't offended or upset when BB-610 BB-610 asked them what it was like to be owned by Broka. Some had tried to convince the twins that they were slaves, but neither wanted to believe that. They were here at a ball without anyone to tell them what to do. Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure was there to protect them. Whether or not he'd prevent the girls from running away remained to be seen. However they had no intention of doing so anyways.

"Broka is great! He doesn't keep us trapped."

"He's a strict Hutt that doesn't like to be disturbed, but it's great that he gives us some freedoms."

"The more loyal that we are, the more freedoms that we get."

They sensed Vyn's change in emotional state, yet Ivy merely offered him a small smile before turning her attention back to BB-610. "Where is Bella now? Is she going to come here too?"

Freedom. A foreign concept for droids. For as independent as he was, he still belonged to someone. And even if that weren't the case, even if he were free to roam the galaxy at his own pace, there would still be those looking to sell him. He begins to put together the puzzle pieces, his mind [if you could even call it that] working fast and unblinking. He and the girls weren't too different. Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy were naïve, longing for comfort, curious about the galaxy yet chained to a master that, while kind hearted and generous, was still a master nonetheless. It was as if BB-610 was staring at a conjoined organic replica of himself.

The droid is broken free of his thoughts at the mention of Bella. BB-610 glances at the floor, as if in contemplation. The thought of the togruta here was nice; to have her alongside him at the coronation was exactly the relaxed situation he needed in order to calmly bond with her. He'd have loved to introduce her to the twins.

' She's... not coming. My Mistress- Bella prefers to keep herself in the skies, practicing and bettering herself. I don't think she thinks these sort of events suit her. ' Which was a shame. If anything, BB-610 would have loved to playfully tease her, the thought of the togruta in an evening dress was quite entertaining. She'd look like a fish out of water.

And then the droid looks up, photoreceptors buzzing, and he jolts to his senses. BB-610 performs a quick scan of the ever filling room, and he spots a figure that, for once, is familiar to him. Dimitri Lindzinsky, the commander of the fleet he'd served in during the invasion of Byss. During his time with Bella.

He may not be introducing the twins to Bella, but he's definitely introducing them to someone.

' Follow me, follow me! ' the astromech calls out in cute bweeps and chirps. He'd considered grappling around one of the twins' arms to tug them along, the closest thing to grabbing their arm, but he didn't want to risk hurting them, so the droid simply rolls off in hopes that they follow.

Soon enough, he's navigated all the way over the Dimitri. Politely, the droid dips his head briefly, as if to bow.
' Good evening, Commander. BB-610 of Sapphire Squadron. ' He hadn't ever interacted with a superior outside of missions. Truthfully, this was a bit confusing for him.

' I wanted to introduce you to some friends. ' BB-610 whirrs happily, rolling aside to give the commander a better view of the twins, and their bodyguard, if Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure had followed suit. He'd turn to the twins, wobbling excitedly. ' This is my Commander! I served him during the recent invasion! '

Master Scrapper.

It had been over a week since Bella had received the promotion which had placed her in command of Sapphire squadron after the engagement over Byss. And yet, the fact that she was no longer an enlisted pilot was still difficult for her to process. It had not been so long ago that she had been Miracle Seven, a fresh-from-the-vat clone and the newest pilot in Miracle squadron. She remembered flying under Dani, her Zeltron commanding officer at the time who had such an insatiable appetite for parties and drinks that Bella had nearly passed out in front of the woman during a party, due to the strength of her alcohol-infused pheromones. It was there that she had met Salem Norongachi Salem Norongachi , the man who had rescued her then and had rescued her later, during the battle over Talay.

And now, only a few months later, she was in command of Sapphire squadron.

With her new rank, came privilege and responsibility. She had been given the option to relinquish herself as BB-610’s mistress, as she was no longer under any obligation to follow the strange order she had been issued in the hangar of The Dancer, in the minutes before launching into space over Byss. However, she had failed to do so, finding that she couldn’t simply abandon the temperamental BB unit in spite of the fact that it had thoroughly humiliated her during their first meeting. The bond that she had forged with the droid over Byss was still uneasy, but it was there, regardless of her best efforts to deny its existence.

Bella had surprised herself in deciding to attend the Eternal Empress’s coronation ball, having ignored her invitation for the event until the very last minute. Opting to wear her armada uniform due to the lack of time to pick out a formal dress, Bella arrived at the event, taking in the gathering of nobles, politicians, and high-ranking Eternal Imperial officials at the ball. There were a few representatives and officers of the Agents of Chaos in attendance as well, giving Bella a sense of relief at the fact that she was not alone in a foreign crowd.

With her sharp, fighter pilot eyes, it did not take her long to pick out the tall and muscular form of the dancer, mingling amidst the crowd with a seemingly effortless grace, his features pristine and handsome even after the toll of the engagement over Byss. Before now, she had only seen him twice in person, once to report Miracle squadron’s casualties after the battle of Ryloth and later, during an especially tense meeting. Nevertheless, he was still as mythical and legendary a figure to her now, as he had been during her days as Miracle Seven.

Taking a deep breath, Bella approached the admiral and smiled as she caught his gaze.

It was only then that she saw BB-610 rolling up to the man, accompanied by a pair of strange-looking twins and a slender Iridonian.
