This was not the return to the Order that Veiere had imagined; such was the will of the force that it endeavor to work in such mysterious ways as to still surprise and humble him after so many decades of service to the Order of old. Back home on Svivren, where the branch that he had been posted at was a much smaller representation of the forgotten era of Jedi, one where most were known by a first name basis and the numbers were so small that it failed to compare to a place such as the vast and beautiful temple of Yutan whose walls were lined with the markings of the old ways, yet despite the thousands of people that came and went during their visits, it was concerning to see just how much things had truly changed. Veiere Arenais, the former Jedi Knight of Svivren, who's role in the Order had never been one of leadership nor reliant upon appearances but the scholar whom trusted above all else in the will of the Force that it would guide him; now found himself standing within the center of his empty class awaiting the other notable members of the Order whom remained, to join in this conclave and discuss the future of the Jedi Order's role in the Galactic Republic.
The cold hard facts were unmistakable, the Order's position within the Republic had declined greatly. Though the Jedi themselves numbered in the thousands still, many of them had sought other paths to better serve the needs of the Galaxy in the ways they had each seen fit; new branches and organizations had been formed to combat the age of oppression in their own individual and unique own way; and yet the Galactic Republic had been abandoned. After centuries of the Jedi standing by the Republic, not it's politicians but it's people and the pursuit for democracy and peace within their reach; Wars were being waged, chaos had ensued throughout every corner of the galactic charts and struggling to keep its head above water, the need for the Jedi Order of old, had never been greater.
Thus far, Veiere had returned to active duty; not as an official member of the Order but as an instructor still; he had yet to return to his former role as a Jedi Knight due to reasons that were partially reliant upon the outcome of this Conclave as well as the trials of his past, that which the others did not know save for [member="Lady Kay"]. She of whom, Veiere had informed of this meeting so that she were not to miss his presence without proper reason; he did not expect that she would take part in this meeting as she was neither a member herself yet he had found her support thus far, gratifying and of much help to his personal spirits. The Exile of Svivren had visited many of the Republic's worlds now, he had been engulfed in war, shed blood, sweat and pushed himself to his limits to ensure the safety of the people of Mimban; yet he was but one man. One man standing in-front of a history, a legend that had once shown hundreds upon thousands of men and woman that pursued balance in the force, that followed the light so emphatically as to dedicate their lives to the often-thought strict yet necessary code and conduct that was the Jedi Path...
Here, he had called for the remaining members of the Jedi Order that stood with him in the belief that the Jedi were still needed within the Republic. Not rogues and scattered shadows of the past but a reformed and re-invigorated collaboration of Jedi, that would again stand as Knights and Masters of the Republic under a Council swayed not by politics but sought the betterment of galactic society within the Republics reach, and beyond if they were to be called to. Unsure of himself, he trusted in the Force that it might do right by the greater good of the Republic, regardless of the majority vote, he sought to remind the galaxy that some had not lost their way and that the light still shone on democracy.
