Scald

Scald knelt down on the black, lava rock ground. She sniffed the air, thought it was filtered through her Mandalorian helmet, she could still smell the burning. On the rock and lava world of Sullust, everything was like this.
Golden lava exploded into crimson every few seconds, creating hazards for all who weren’t protected. She was. Her beskar stopped all stray splatters from creating burnt tissue and instead- added more effect to her scarlet armor.
Reaching into the bag that was slung over her shoulder, Scald brought out a beaker that had been specially designed to hold lava. She used a pair of tongs to lower it into the screaming hot flow.
After leaving it for the correct amount of time, Scald brought it up. The metal of the tongs was a hot, and blinding white, showcasing the extreme heat that it was previously in. The beaker was now filled to the brim with magma.
“Perfect.”
The words were spoken softly, as if to the lava itself. The entire plains around her were empty. They had been for a long while. The space where she knelt was an ancient burial ground- and said shrine to the Sith. Not being any degree of Force-sensitive, Scald didn’t care. She went along with her business.
She stood up- not daring to readjust her grip on the glowing metal. She needed to get the lava back to her ship. Believe it or not, she had traveled all across the galaxy for this lava. Beneath her helmet she smiled at it. Mind you this wasn’t a normal smile, it was one that said harm would befall some one very soon.
Scald trudged the few miles back to her ship without a second thought. This lava was far too precious to risk on a speeder.
Soon arriving, Scald poured the lava into a container and sat back in a chair.
“That was a close one- aye H6.”
The Shard turned its metal head to her,”Is this it?”
Scald nodded- not caring about the dismissal.
“The lava that could make me rich, if this works.”
H6 held up a data pad,”Creating a new type of bio-cocoon is ambitious. How do you plan on achieving this?”
“This lava has a certain rare mineral in it. If I extract it- I can use it to multiply and divide any material.”
“Why haven't others done this then?” H6 asked, having a valid point.
“Because they do not know the properties of this lav-“
Scald broke off. A ship. She had just heard a ship.
H6 turned her head towards Scald,”We have company.”
