Common Glass. [TSE vs Commenor Yutan]

Yuroic laughed. He laughed hard for a solid minute or so. Finally realising that she was attempting to convert him as a Sith. It was ridiculous, how could she possibly think he would be swayed. Yuroic realised that her judgement, no matter how much she protested, was deeply skewed. I... Ahem, I am never becoming a Sith. I know for a fact that the Silver Jedi have not lied or held anything back from you, I would have found any deception my first month. I crawled through every vent and explored every inch of that temple. There was nothing hidden from us. Only Krest would want you to think that, to blind you from the truth.

It seemed that she had been manipulated, whether she could admit it or not. A handful of Jedi have committed crimes yes. But this bombardment of a planet, that is nothing new from Sith. Sith have a history of destroying planets. Alderaan, Telos, Taris and more. Evidence of what people will do when emotions dictate their actions. Your stubbornness to see that emotions blind people is cute, but allowing your emotions to take over weakens you, makes you do things that are likely to backfire. He examined her carefully. If I had let my emotions control me, acted on Dark Side pull, then I would have attacked you after that shock. But I kept level-headed, I put my emotions aside and allowed my wisdom to come through. He then looked away, looking at the ruins around them.

You are being manipulated, a puppet of the Dark Side. A puppet of Krest, think it is mere coincidence that we happened to meet here, today. There is no such thing as coincidence. Perhaps he is testing your loyalty to the Dark Side, making sure you cut all ties to your past Jairdain, so that you don't remember what truly happened. Who really deceived you. Because it wasn't me, wasn't Arisa and wasn't the Jedi that lied to you. You were free to do as you wished with the Jedi, as long as you didn't harm innocent lives and fall sway to the Dark Side. Yuroic was stating the truth about her being free under the Jedi. He wasn't restricted in what he could do or say. While he might not always see eye to eye with the Jedi Code or way of life, he respect them and followed their ways because they were similar to his own.

Lady Kay’s answer was honest, which Cassius appreciated. She could have been a typical politician and gone on for a solid five minutes about how they were a peaceful society and there was no way they could ever be involved in open conflict, but she wasn’t like that. He nodded as she explained how they hadn’t gone to war in quite a while. With all of the major factions having war after war, that was a huge accomplishment on the CSA’s part. ‘Commenor Survives’… their motto, while simple, contained a message of hope.

“I just hope you’re right,” Cassius breathed out with a bit of a frown, checking their navicomputer. They were getting close. “Either way,” he spoke up, a little louder now, “no matter what happens, I’m with you. And I’m sure the rest of the Jedi would be, too.” The Grandmaster was the King of Commenor, after all. Although their Jedi Order preached peace above all else, if it came to armed conflict, Cassius would be surprised if they completely shied away from it.

“We’re coming out of hyperspace,” Cassius began tapping in a few commands, most notably, charging the weapons and loading the missile tubes. He wanted to be sure he could come out guns blazing if he had to. Only if he had to, though. Placing his hand on the silver hyperdrive handle, he took in a deep breath as he pulled it back.

The Free Lady snapped in from hyperspace, slowing to sub-light speeds. Already, he could see the full Sith fleet over the planet, and no doubt they would be picked up on their scanners. Immediately, he transmitted their ship’s identification frequency to the fleet, letting them know that the vessel was diplomatic in nature, but also that it was the head of state of the CSA – if they were fired upon, it would mean disastrous consequences.

“Well, they know we’re here…” Cassius said, tapping in new commands – he was pre-emptively putting the return hyperspace coordinates to Commenor in as a safety measure. He didn’t spool up the hyperdrive just yet, though, as that could probably be detected by the Sith fleet’s sensors. It would mean that they wouldn’t be able to make as quick of an escape if they were fired upon, but he also wanted to seem as non-threatening as possible.

The laughter from Yurioc really hurt her feelings and she wanted to lash out at him again, but figured the point had already been made when she zapped him earlier. He would hopefully pick up on the fact his actions had disturbed her, but that she didn't fight him. Like she had said when they met up not long ago, she wasn't going to fight him.

"They did lie to me and you know it."

That was in reference to the rescue that had never come. Just a broken promise to go with the rest of the clouding done by them.

"Yes the way you reacted with your emotions then was also the wrong way to go about it. Just as it wrong for me, we just did it differently."

He had buried them all the time, not even wanting to admit he felt anything. Not able to express what he felt in any form. She had taught him how to express them. Now a new way had been taught to her.

"I don't allow my emotions to rule me and I still control myself. I only include them now when I use the Force. Nor have I harmed anybody innocent."

With that she stamped a foot on the ground and clearly her full attention was on him.

Yuroic shook his head. Yes, the Jedi swore to save Jairdain from capture, they swore to keep her safe from harm. But surely she could see that risking a planet's safety to focus on one life was too dangerous. They never lied. They made a promise they could not keep. Not from lack of trying, but from being over stretched. Think about it Jairdain, the Silvers are being attacked from every side. Allies are harder to come by and Factions once close are gone. There is a bigger picture that we, sadly, fade into the background. Doesn't mean they don't care or that they would never have come. Just means, that if the galaxy was a safer place then yes they would have saved you as soon as possible.

However, it isn't and Yutan is proof of that. You have hurt people Jairdain. Not doing anything to prevent this, that is just as bad as shooting the gun. You are helping the people who killed innocent people. No one is going to see you as any different than a Sith. Expect me. He didn't care that he was upsetting her, it was intentional. She needed to hear cold hard truths. While he knew that she didn't want to hurt him, she needed to hear that she wasn't as in control as she thought.

I never said you didn't allow them to take control. But the fact is, they are in control whether or not you want them to be. You had control before, you weren't shoving them aside and ignoring them. You felt and you acknowledged it. What you are doing now, what the Sith do. They let their angry drive their connection to the Force. You could only attack me with lightning because you released your anger and let it overwhelm you until it comes out in electrical form. While his understanding of Force Lightning might not be perfect, there stemmed some truth in it. One could only use it if they gave into their anger.

Lark let the newcomer do his little dance. As the large man darted towards them he could sense a presence approaching him, full of more energy and power than others that his band had passed. As the man defeated his troops Lark took a moment to observe, taking note of whatever notable aspects he could discern of the man. As was befitting the man's size, he fought aggressively, overwhelming the Sith troops with brute strength and the form of one who had been in many a fight. Within a few seconds, all of those accompanying Lark were face-first in the ground, motionless but alive. The Jedi didn't have the heart to take a life, even for something they believed so strongly in. With that kind of behavior, one would never accomplish much. One must be willing to sacrifice everything for what they stand for.

"But still," Lark muttered. "What a warrior we could make of you. Such wasted potential." His words were laced with silk, as soft and sweet as a bird's song. He looked up from the broken bodies on the ground, to the Jedi standing before him. A wily smile appeared on his cadaver-like face, and he slowly drew his sword, a beautiful blade with a blueish-white tint, enchanted with the same properties as a lightsaber. A dagger with similar properties was sheathed on his hip. "But I suppose it's to late for all of that now. You've cast yourself onto this... erroneous path, and one way or another, you'll realize what a fool you were to tread it." He stepped forward quickly, with the form of an artist, and brought his sword down in a quick, powerful, vertical strike. My first Jedi, Lark thought. But fear not, for while you shall be my first, many others will fall after you.

Kay gave [member="Cassius Droma"] a small smile and nod as he gave her his support. She appreciated the loyalty, even though they were still basically strangers. Such a quality was rare these days, at least in her experience. Most people were only out for themselves, especially politicians. Or they were after credits to line their pockets with. In Cassius' case however, he seemed genuine.

Her eyes turned to the viewport again as they exited hyperspace, watching as the lines of light turned into stars and distant planets. But the closest planet to them was Yutan. And the ships surrounding her caused Kay to get to her feet. Through all of her imaginings, she didn't expect there to be that many. One or two, perhaps, possibly even three. But not this show of force.

She remained there in silence for a few moments, contemplating her next move. Even being in Yutani space right now was in violation of their sovereignty, yet she just couldn't sit idly by and let it happen. [member="Veiere Arenais"] was already there and she wondered if he could sense her arrival as well. "If they know we're here Cassius, you might as well open up a channel. [member="Virak Ip"] should be bringing part of our fleet in from Sev Tok, so we won't be without support. Perhaps we could draw their focus away from Yutan and onto our forces instead. It'll give the Yutani time to get to safety."

As soon as the image of Lady Kay had disappeared from the holocommunicator - their conversation brief, to the point and quickly resolved - Virak had turned and began to bark out orders as soon as he had opened the locked doors to his office. "I want War Commander Herl contact immediately. Relay orders of the Lady Kay. The Fleet is to leave only a protective presence here on Sev Tok and get themselves to Yutan yesterday. As soon as the meet up the the Lady's forces, all command is to be given to Lady Kay for the extent of their time in Yutani space. Smarten that up, make it official sounds and get the orders sent of immediately."

Turning his back upon the group of bustling aids that had jumped from sitting around at theirs desks to bustling to and fro as they scrambled to follow his growled orders, Virak turned and slammed the doors to his office behind him; locking them once more.

Sighing in annoyance at the fact that the wounds his body suffered from meant that he would not be able to involve himself in the fighting, Virak chose to instead limp back over to his desk, settling into the seat with a groan, before returning to the curse that was paperwork; necessary in its evil.

OOC: Sorry for the short post, but, my muse is struggling so this was the best I could do. My muse struggling to exist is also the reason why this post is so short. Sorry again.

[member="Lady Kay"] ordered him to open a channel, and he slowly nodded, tapping into their communications controls. The comm dish on top of the freighter actually moved slightly in order to better broadcast their signal to all the surrounding ships. He hesitated as he put in the last commands, however.

Soon, the entire Sith fleet would be able to hear their transmission. If they needed to fire on them now, there wasn't much they could do. The Free Lady was a neat ship, but she couldn't withstand multiple full blasts from capital ship turbolasers. He could dodge a great deal of them, yes, but not all. That was why he already put in the hyperspace coordinates for Comment.

"You're up," he told the Queen, looking over to her. He'd let her speak first - it would mean a lot more coming from a head of state than just her pilot. He could only hope this went well. Thousands of people were already dying - he didn't want to join their number. This definitely had to be the most tense part, by themselves, backup still a hyperspace jump away at least, and probably more than a dozen turbolasers locked in their direction. One wrong move here, and it could mean war.

Or their destruction.

Kay looked at [member="Cassius Droma"] as he signalled that it was time for her to announce her arrival to the Sith fleet. She could sense his anxiety, all without even needing to touch on the Force to do so. That ability was still a secret that she hadn't let him know about yet. Perhaps in time he'll learn, but not yet. Such information was on a need to know basis.

She looked out towards the fleet, knowing that her husband [member="Veiere Arenais"] was out there somewhere. She turned her wedding rings over and over on her finger while she spoke to the hostile forces surrounding Yutan.

~This is Lady Kay, Queen of Commenor and Chancellor to the Commenor Systems Alliance. I ask that you cease your attack on Yutan and it's people at once. Our fleets are arriving, having been turned around by my orders at the start of your assault. Despite our arguments with the Yutani government this is still our Alliance's territory. And rest assured, should you continue with your hostilities then it will not be just our fleets that you'll have to defend yourselves against, but all of our allies as well. You'll be vastly out numbered and destroyed. But you still have a choice to cease your actions and leave in safety. I will give you ten minutes to decide.~

She gave Cassius the signal to cut her transmission, her eyes falling on him now as she let out a slightly nervous breath. "Here's hoping that the right people heard me."

[member="Krest"]

"It wasn't a promise they couldn't keep. It was a promise they broke, Yuroic. Yes, they are under attack and pressure now, when I was taken they weren't. Opportunities were there to find me, yet they were never taken. Even one person could have come and been able to break me out when I was helpless."

The details of her time while a prisoner she had kept to herself. However, hopefully he would have an idea that she had been severed from the Force during her time. No contact had been by her, no reaching out to him to communicate. Inside of her, he might know that lost girl was crying out. The girl that had fallen in love with him and still was. Her external persona though wasn't that girl and it was the one in control.

She shook her head when he stated these people wouldn't see her as anything but another sith. Taking the mask off, her face and hair revealed, "would they see me differently now?"

Letting her hands drop back to her sides, one hand gripped the mask, the other was open palm facing him. Along her face might be seen the faint trail of tears she had shed at the destruction they now stood on.

"My feelings don't drive me, I control them still. If I allowed them to rule, we wouldn't be standing here having this conversation."

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"]

"This has to be the smallest ship I've ever placed myself on." Staring out a viewport and speaking into herself as they came into orbit of Yutan, just behind the fleet that had jumped in with [member="Lady Kay"]. "Kark I should've called before making my entrance."

What an impressive navy the Sith had fielded. Not that she was surprised. They were very into their naval might just as much as they had the ego of a deranged maniac in their combat abilities. Needless to say, the memories came flooding back. Being on those invasion ships... side-by-side similarly blood thirsty individuals. It had a weird sense of comradey that came with it, you know, all of you following a strict ideology that if you swayed from you would be ousted.

Pressing a button and opening an encrypted frequency with the Commenor Systems forces in the area, in an attempt to stop her measily puny ship with a contingent of droid gunships surrounding it. "This is uh... Senator Natalie LaForte representing Cato Neimodia, I was told to contact the CSA fleet whenever I arrived to ensure I'm not blasted into a thousand particles by our impressive navy.."

The thrill of the challenge filled the Zabrak's mind, forcing a grin to form on his otherwise expressionless face. He could never hide his love for battle. Krest had just begun to separate the hilt of his saber from his cane when from the earpiece he had brought with him [member="Lady Kay"] 's message played. A sense of dismay filled him as he lowered the weapon, an almost sad look filling his eyes. "Well Grandmaster, our dance will have to be delayed. Your wife is much too punctual for her own good." That was all he said on the matter as his cloak floated to his shoulders and once more draped his form. Casually he pressed the com in his ear, setting it to call all Sith forces.

"You are all to disengage and pull back to the fleet. Negotiations will be held with the Commenor Queen, and until they conclude all forces are to be put on standby. If you're helping the citizens of Yutan, continue to do so, but do not bear arms against them unless they shoot first." His word was law here on the fleet, and already massive groups of soldiers began to disengage from any fight they had been within. All save for the one with [member="Kenrath"] (Or Victor, representative of Yutan) where he would be captured and brought to the Sith Lord's ship.

"You would be wise to call back your troops, my King, for the conflict is now over."

Veiere stared back at [member="Krest"] uncertainly, skepticism written in open argument across his face as the Sith Lord claimed to want no further conflict where only moments ago he had been white in the knuckles for all the willingness he had for facing Veiere in combat. If [member="Lady Kay"] truly was his Queen and Veiere himself this mans King then the significance of this Zabrak's actions were the consequences of Treason; that was of course presuming this Sith followed anything but his own path. The Jedi Master himself was not void of his own pride and likely shortcomings, a Jedi always yet first a Man, he too held his own faults alike all others and in the moment he questioned just how much of a joke his position within the monarchy was while combined with the pacifism of the Jedi Path. How many others down upon Yutan had been injured already, how much chaos had the invading fleet caused to the people of the Commenor Systems Alliance. Veiere wanted no conflict, and yet Krest had come to his territories and threatened his people...

"In the name of the people of Yutan and by the authority that is mine, sanctioned by the Commenor Systems Alliance, I am taking you into Custody for crimes of war against this world and her people..." Veiere announced, moving to slowly approach, taking his time as he made his intentions clear and soon continuing to elaborate, "Your people will be spared and returned into the care of their home world's justice system. You will relinquish your weapon submitting then to the Systems Alliance until your sentence can be determined and thus carried out following a trial. If I am understood, you will kneel and forfeit your lightsaber. Anything less will be taken as non-compliance" Veiere stopped just shy of two meters from [member="Krest"], well enough for the Sith to seek to lash out at him though between the two, the Force pooled to them both, it building in tension as they both seemed ready still to take into battle.

Yuroic saw Jairdain remove her face. Her once slightly tanned skin was now paling and her eyes were tinting with yellow. He let out a sigh, to him, her beauty was fading as the Dark Side corrupted her. Maybe. Depends on your actions. Depends on if you continue down this dark path you are following. The Force is corrupting your appearance my love, stealing your beauty.

One Jedi could not take on the Sith that held you. Krest would have killed me if I found you, killed anyone who wasn't a Master. All the Masters were dealing with eventually destruction of the Dominion. They were trying to save lives lost to Sith warring against one another. It was the truth. Yuroic had heard of the battering that the Dominion took, he fought Krest to save them. Krest wanted to kill them because they weren't part of his faction. I know that for a fact, I was there. You think he won't turn on you when you lose your worth to him.

What happens when Krest demands you kill me? What happens when you face other friends you once had? Like Ronin and Jess. Yuroic paced slowly as he confronted her, what about Karl? I know that you loved him too? Would you kill him? He had moved past the jealousy that he felt over the fact that Jairdain had slept with another man, before they were together. It was difficult and he resented Karl, not just over that. The man failed to protect her, let her turn, at least that was what he first thought. Now, now he saw different.

[member="Jairdain"]

Krest stared blankly at [member="Veiere Arenais"] for a moment, then laughed. It wasn't a vicious laugh, or a signature bad guy laugh, just a light hearted. The old man shook his head as he pointed to the ship the Jedi had come on. "Return to your ship master Jedi. I was only taunting you with calling you 'My King'. Iridonia is only in an alliance with Commenor, not servant to it. We will have negotiations with your wife." Even as he spoke a swirl of red flooded the otherwise blue eyes of the Sith Lord as he stared the Grandmaster down. All he needed was a reason.

"Or, you can try to cut off one head of many on the snake that is the Sith. It would be foolish, and you'd most likely end up dead. But again, I give you the choice. Retreat to your better half's side where you belong, or try to be the hero in a situation where your actions won't change anything."

"Contrary to the Galaxies perception of the Jedi Order, our quarrel is not with the Sith until our intervention is otherwise proven justified for the safety of the people and the balance within the Force itself" Veiere spoke calmly in response, the Zabrak trying to goad him in humiliation though the Jedi Master had since done his utmost to let go of everything outside of their immediate vicinity. Fear of death, fear of losing the ability to be with the people he admired and loved; death was a natural part of life and it would come for him eventually yet today was a day where [member="Krest"] had threatened not his life but millions of others down upon Yutan all in the pursuit of bringing the attack upon the Jedi Order.

"Before long, the Systems Alliance's fleet will be upon you. The Navy of a number of worlds to greet your own..." He inhaled slowly, turning to glance away from that of [member="Krest"] in consideration, explanation clearly required for the Sith to understand Veiere's motives, suicidal as they might seem; "I've given an oath to stand against the oppression of the galaxy, to do what I can do when presented with the opportunity to act that violence and death may be negated from those whom deserve none of it. As King of Commenor I cannot allow you to simply enter into our space, target a world with the intent of laying siege to it, only to change your mind and be allowed free passage out. As a Jedi, this has nothing to do with heroism of any sort...-There is nothing heroic in violence; I would have you answer for your actions so that others may be given justice but I seek not your life. Give yourself up to my custody and let us be done with this charade. No one else needs be harmed".

"Yutan is no longer part of the Commenor Alliance. They got their independence, and lost your right to protect it as King. Kay coming here is of her own volition, a reason for me to stop my assault and talk with her to negotiate peace. You would act as a Jedi, selfish, thinking only of the moment and not of the good for your people, for your wife." There was a hint of rage in Krest's voice as he spoke to [member="Veiere Arenais"] . "You will return to your ship and to your wife, or I will send you back in pieces. This is your last warning, understood?" No matter how much he wanted to keep [member="Lady Kay"] 's favor, he would not back down from this. Slowly he moved a hand back to the hilt of his saber, ready for a fight.

"You would act as a Jedi, selfish, thinking only of the moment and not of the good for your people, for your wife."
Veiere's brows furrowed, his skepticism turned to question the Sith Lord's words; for what reason would [member="Krest"] have to speak to his wife, [member="Lady Kay"] baring an Armada of the Sith down upon the world of Yutan. He had come in search of the Jedi and their Grand Master, Veiere himself had put himself upon the Sith Lord's very flagship seeking to negotiate a cease of hostilities. In a sense, he had achieved this and yet there seemed to be signs of something more going on behind the scenes.

"Your methods do not fit the manner of your approach..." Veiere spoke up after a time, studying the Sith Lord and searching to gauge the Zabrak's reactions should there be any, "Nor does your interest in meeting with my Wife, let alone your willingness to let me leave this place..." Veiere's head lifted some, a half nod in acknowledgement though whether it was to Krest or to himself in recognition of his lack of full awareness over this discourse, his right hand slowly returned the lightsaber hilt to his belt, stepping back several paces closer to the X-Wing he had come in on.

Krest's insistence on seeing Veiere leave there alive wasn't at all typical for a Sith in the Jedi's experience, the flow of the Force around them seemingly tranquil where as before most great battles it would frenzy by his perception, warning him of imminent threat. There did not seem to be so much here, which struck him as immediately odd now with his concentration pulled away from matters of title and focusing more upon the others words and body language. "The next time you come in search of Jedi, do not bother to target the innocent..." Veiere drew his commlink from his belt, turning it upside down and placing it to the floor of the Hangar. The Device was empty of most records save for Kay's and Veiere's private frequencies. "You've convinced me that we shall meet again...".

Though reluctant to do so, Veiere continued to put distance between the two, eventually turning and climbing up the boarding ladder to his Starfighter. If anything had been confirmed in this visit, it was so very clear that in his absence, his wife had sought to make friends in rather questionable places; the two of them needing to have a good long talk about her dealings with the Sith Empire and their connection to Yutan.

"You realize, I hope, that I can't see myself. While visions of me have been granted from time to time, it won't be something that will ever stay. I am used to my vision and don't want it to change. In a way, I see far more than you can."

That would be true to an extent. While he could see the fine details of the world, she saw them within people.

"I was with the Dominion for a short period of time. This was before we met and when I was recovering from being held a prisoner. What Krest did was different. The first time I was going to die as a sacrifice. The Sith of the Dominion were different. Almost nice."

One of them had been in the rescue party and given her water. When she had recovered, Jairdain had returned to the Silver's and when the need arose to help the Sith of the Dominion, she had been one of them to answer that call.

"I remember, Yuroic."

Within her corrupted memories, a few remained unaltered. The battle on Vjun was one of them. A fatefull day that was. That day had brought about everything that had happened to her since. It was her Battle Meditation that had caught the attention of Krest and started his quest to capture her. In the end, when the Jedi never came, she fell. Only his brainwashing had done its job and she didn't think she had fallen.

"I would refuse, even if I got killed." Those words were out, that small voice of the consular she had dreamed of being spoke out and was buried again. "In a way, Karl opened my eyes to something."

She did not give voice to what that was and would allow his mind to piece it together. Following him through the Force as he paced, that piece of her that loved him cried out. On its own, the hand not holding the mask also reached out. When Jairdain noticed this, she drew in a quick breath and lowered her arm. Through the Force he would feel the inner turmoil she was going through. Part of her wanted to be mad at him for his words while the other accepted them and understood what he was telling her.

The Sith knew there was no point in continuing the conversation right now. They would meet again and she would be more prepared for it. Before she could stop herself and with no thought that he might see her move as a threat, the distance between them closed. Her empty hand came up to light try and touch his face, her lips moved to kiss his and then she was gone.

Using the Force to mask herself and disappear from sight, Jairdain fled from Yuroic and knew they would meet again.

[member="Natalie LaForte"] 's ship dropped out of hyperspace near hers. Kay didn't recognize it, but no enemy in their right mind would arrive in such a small vessel that wasn't a fighter. Plus the encryption code paired with the Senator's voice was a dead giveaway. Kay nodded to [member="Cassius Droma"] . "Open up a channel to Senator LaForte please." Once he had done so, she spoke up. ~Senator LaForte, this is Lady Kay. Please rendevous with the Queensguard battlecruiser. She'll keep you safe.~

Her eyes returned to the ships surrounding Yutan. For some reason, they appeared to be pulling away. Kay furrowed her brows as she focused on what was happening. It wasn't entirely a bad thing, she wasn't discrediting their good fortune just yet. But something about it gave her a sense of foreboding as well.

With the aid of her rings, she reached out to [member="Veiere Arenais"] in order to get a better sense of what was going on. Whether he was on the surface of the planet or in orbit she wasn't sure. But what she found coming from him was confusion and a feeling of heaviness that seemed to always follow his lectures. Uh oh. She pulled back from touching his mind, slowly as she settled back in her chair.

"They're leaving, Cassius. Though I have a feeling that we're not out of the woods yet..." Her thoughts went to the people of Yutan then. How much destruction was caused due to their foolish and selfish government? She couldn't go back to Commenor yet. She had to remain and will probably be one of the last to leave.
