Public Come And See

Before the Sullustan could even utter any more words, he was hit with a vastly powerful gust of wind, something that impressed him severely. Trying to use the Force to balance himself, he would fail as he tripped over the railing with his back turned. Trying to grasp it, his robe flew halfway off and started to plummet downwards and with it, slipping him completely off the railing he tried to grasp. At that moment, the Sullustan started to freefall down what could be said, was twenty levels of the station, going all the way straight down to the bottom.

Every few levels, he would hit something that collided into his arm, then another object that could be a connector onto his back. It went along with the sounds of pangs, clangs and kabangs all the way down. Till finally, he freefalled the rest of seven stories as he tried to screech out something before landing with an authentic THUD noise that echoed from far down below and his body going limp, his mind shut off as the body had a shock of pain that knocked him out cold for the moment.

Before Tella had time to see if her words had any true effect, Jegy, or who she was pretty sure was Jegy by his darker grayish aura and her mother’s description, walked through the door and politely tried to reason with the Cathar like she did. The Sullustan was diplomatic and polite as described, and surely this would help ease the situ-

And as soon as she thought that, the vicious Cathar launched an assault against the helpless Sullustan, sending a powerful gust of wind that not only blew him back, but sent him falling over a railing into the darkness below. Tella sensed that it was quite a long fall too-Jegy was sure to either be severely injured or dead, even with the power of the Force. Enraged that a Jedi would straight up commit attempted murder on an innocent man trying to talk, Tella threw out both of her hands to throw a Force Push at the Cathar, aiming to slam her into the nearby wall and break off her assault at the second innocent man behind Jegy to give him a moment to prepare. It would also buy her the time and range away from the madwoman to try to save Jegy’s life.

Average of 14: Above Average, slightly below Expert for a Jedi Knight.

"You monster!" Tella exclaimed, her face twisting into a look of horror.

The Force Push, enhanced by Tella's anger and by her extensive training as a consular, tore through air towards the Cathar in a well targeted, large, and powerful telekinetic bubble, but Tella did not even waste time to see what the effect of it was was already moving towards the railing to try to figure out a way to get to her Imperial ally as soon as possible. She felt him hit the floor and winced as she did. She had to reach Jegy, and soon, or the attempted murder would be an actual murder.

Psychotic Jedi, what is her problem?

Despite all of the anger that he felt, he found the Sullustan to be a comfort to him. He had never met a Sullustan inquisitor before, but quickly found that he was something of a friend. He gently explained that while he admired the loyalty that Valerian had for his squad of troopers. He was curious about the Sullustan, and explained how they haven’t crossed paths before. Valerian had come to the early period of the Empire in the years after the Clone Wars. He was a boy forged into a weapon by the Empire, and could relate with the Sullustan. He had been left to the Outer Rim, an area that Valerian had little experience with. The Emperor had many agents across the galaxy, but all that mattered was Valerian had a familiar face in all this.

“Then we will come back for them… In either case what matters is that you are here. But I’m not sure we can escape the pursuit of those that came here.” He said and before anymore could be said he saw his new friend pushed. “Jegy!!” Valerian cried out as he watched the Sullustan fall, and that left Valerian to activate his saber, the crescent guard retracted some as one red blade came out. He drove it into the floor with one hand, and with the other would try to use the Force to situate himself to the floor.

He looked forward, his eyes soon centering on the fury of a Cathar coming towards him. He saw what seemed to be a blade with her. “I do not know who you are, but you will not pass…” He said with a viscious snarl as his red blade hummed to life. He looked to see another woman with her, but from her reaction he saw that she was concerned for his new acquaintance that had fallen several levels down. He wasn’t sure if he was alive or dead, but his blood boiled for a fight, and if this Alliance dog thought Valerian would fall today, she was mistaken.

To first be pushed into the wall, Jonyna seemed to THUD into it, but it didn't seem to effect her much. She'd deal with Tella later. For now, she picked herself up, and stared down at the Inquisitor.
"Neither will you, if I have anything to say about it..." The cathar growled, readying her katana. She took a low stance, holding her katana at her side, while using the force to draw Lucy as well in her offhand, her tail hidden under her coat, wrapping around Claire, ready to draw her as well if need be. To the Inquisitor, it didn't look like any stance the jedi had ever taught, a strange variant of Jar'Kai. "So what number brother are you? I've fought a 5, a 7, killed a 3...."

The ringing in his ears was deafening, he felt massive amounts of pain flooding in his entire body. Breathing in loudly, he started to cough as the loud whining and whomping of the reactor near him kept circulating power at a high rate. Rolling over onto his back, he felt rather quickly what damage was accessed upon the now somewhat broken Sullustan body. His left hand might as well be a limp noodle, it was shattered from his pinky to his middle finger...entirely useless and in severe pain. His right leg fared better but it was dislocated right at the knee cap which the Sullustan started to lean forward on that note.

His right arms shoulder was completely out of socket, he felt a stringing pain on his thumb as it was jammed sideways out of socket as well. The pain was almost enough to knock him back out...but he pushed through it. Sitting up barely, he brought his left leg up, miraclously without any damage done to it and put his right arm behind the knee. Giving a small pull, he kept increasing pressure till he taste iron in his mouth again, feeling it give a loud POP noise as it shot right back into place. Rocking back and forth from the pain momentarily, he gripped his right hand tightly and pulled the thumb next which resulted in the worst pop of them. It had been fractured...something the Sullustan should have realized but in the end, it worked out, even if he fell backwards in so much pain he cracked the skin on the back of his head again, bleeding from it lightly.

Slowly he starts to sit up again, feeling the Force give him the strength once more to push through unbelievable amounts of pain he has to suffer. Slowly he tries to stand up, almost falling to the ground once more. Focusing on the Force, he used his powers in Force Healing but focused on the rage he felt, the pain and suffering. It was temporary...but it would allievate the pain for just a moment. Another loud set of popping noises would show the knee back in place but with a resounding screech of pain far below.

That woman...had thrown him down twenty levels into this hellish reactor room. It was only by the Force itself that he had survived, having things to break his fall. Breathing in, he gave another rackful cough as he knew a rib somewhere was shattered to pieces, he could feel it on every breath. Slowly he started to walk towards a nearby set of doors, opening them as he still had his datapad which allowed him access to the facility. Moving inside the hallway, he noticed an elevator and tried to take it before a loud DONG noise echoed in the hallway.

"Elevator has been marked for maintenance for: Six Hundred and Twenty-Nine Years, Six Weeks and Four Standard Galactic Days. Please wait for Imperial Maintenance."

Giving an annoyed groan, he looked beside it and noticed the long set of stairs. Feeling that this day was not going to end so suddenly, he started to move towards them and proceeded to climb the steps...one at a time, with striking pain from his chest and his left hand aching from uselessness.

Average of 20 w/ modifiers: masterful display.

Hurrying over to the railing, Tella wasted no time in gathering the swirling currents of the Force around her, willing it to strengthen and empower her body, the sheer power being willed into her being visible for a moment in a blue aura. Gracefully, as if she were a top performing gymnast, she propelled herself over the edge of the railing, sailing to one landing, then to the next. With consummate grace and skill that would impress even her mother, she jumped between floor to floor smoothly and without any injury, in comparison to Jegy’s earlier traumatic fall.

Soon she landed adroitly on her feet at the bottom of the shaft, eyes already searching for the injured Inquisitor. It did not take long for her to spot him as she followed his path through the open doors, easily enough given he was leaving quite the trail of blood behind him. She caught up to him as he struggled to make his way up a flight of stairs, looking like he was going to topple over at any moment. She gasped at his state, both in relief that he was alive, and at how broken he was.

“Inquisitor Sesara! Please, sit down! Let me help, at least a little!” pleaded Tella. It would be easier to work on him if he were sitting still.

Valerian felt a pant of worry, for he had feared that the long tumble had rendered his newfound friend dead. His eyes locked onto the sword wielding foe, and he expected a traditional lightsaber wielding Jedi, and now a Cathar that blazed with the Force was coming right towards him. His neural implants often gave him the advantage of reading his foe. He could read that was a Cathar, but she was something that hadn’t matched any imperial records before, for right now he was entering into uncharted territory. His red gaze narrowed at the furious sight, blade in hand he was ready to strike. He didn’t dare break his cold demeanor, in fact one could say he was excited to fight once more.

His eyes narrowed to her side, as he readied his saber to his own side as if to mimic her moves. He kept his saber in a single blade configuration, should he need it he would activate the desperate blade. If brighter the staff, or even possibly the spinning mechanism of his blade he could always detach the hilt into two. It was not the first time he had faced off against a force wielder, but still some part of him was hesitant to go on the offensive, and all the while Vader’s lessons echoed in his head. Failure for an inquisitor was never an option, anything less always meant death.

With a growl, and the finesse of his blade work, he would start with a thrust of his blade into her. He would start with by testing her defenses, and depending how she would respond he would think his options. For now it appeared as if Valerian was applying Makashi and testing her. If it failed he would grow more aggressive.

As he tested her with the first opening thrusts of the blade, he responded with a snarl. “Ninth… Ninth Brother… Allow me to repay the death you have wrought on all my brothers and sisters… Traitors like you should be eradicated!” He said with a hiss, as he stepped up to keep probing her defenses. He wanted to see if she would force him back on the defensive, while in the midst of his confrontation he didn’t notice that help was coming to his friend.

Jonyna deflected the thrust with Lucy, the ruby blade hitting it's crimson counterpart with an uppercut strike, before maneuvering it by twisting her hand so Lucy's blade was now pushing downwards to the left, before Jonyna followed up with a slash at Valerian Draak Valerian Draak 's chest with Liz, but rather than go into a cutting slash, she paused the motion of the blade just in front of Valerian's chest, a sonic boom lashing from the blade right into his chest like a punch to the gut. The Cathar was too smart to let the armor of an inquisitor stop her blade, something she'd faced in the past. But now, years later, she had new abilities. New powers that could negate any armor. The Roar of Cathar point blank she hoped would do the job of rattling the dark sider's chest, leaving him disoriented.

Struggling up the stairs would be a literal understatement. He had to grip onto the railing itself to climb each step, one at a time as he was barely moving upwards towards any floor. By the time she had gotten there, he had only climbed up two stories and stopped on the third floor on the approach of footsteps to his large ears. Turning to see what he tried to understand, a woman that was ascending up the staircase as he did stop moving on her command.

Leaning onto the walls railing, he looked over towards the lady that was near the bottom of the stairs coming towards him. What an unusual creature...and also why was she here?! Trying to turn and complain, he felt a spike of pain as he rather quickly slid down onto the floor with a thud as he grimaced in pain.

"While I appreciate the concern nhrnn....why aren't you assisting the survivor?! I can handle...I can handle..."

The voice seemed to trail off a bit, his mind getting a small rush of adrenaline as he started to feel a bit of blood loss kicking in. His right hand lazily tried to go into his robes, searching for his small portable medical kit as he pulled it out, only to spill onto the floor nearby. Blinking his eyes, he tried to open it but found that he could not even undo the clasp with one hand when he still felt such a rush of pain.

"Just...need a moment..."

Tella raised a gloved hand as if to shush Jegy, kneeling beside the Sullustan as he slid down the side of the wall and fumbled his medical kit. She kneeled and began to gather his scattered medical kit together as she responded.

“He has not committed to joining us yet, and Mother sent me to find you. If you die before I could even get to you, that would be a major problem. Besides, I am sure he can handle himself for a little bit before we return. And it should not be too long, if we get you patched up well enough. ” She replied, giving him a slight smile as she finished collecting the medical kit.

Unfortunately, it seemed Tella was a bit too eager to help out Jegy at the moment, her masterful display earlier exhausting her connection with the Force. She tried to will it into helping out Sesara, but found it hard to maintain concentration and her connection to it was strained. A few minor cuts healed up, but nothing substantial. She sighed, sitting down next to him.

"Looks like we both need a break. Is our Inquisitor friend skilled at combat? It looks like we may be here a little while, at least until I can rest."

It had been centuries since Valerian had fought another force sensitive, and even longer still as Force Users were not a common sight to him when the Galactic Civil War broke out. He had hoped for an easy duel, but appeared as the Cathar filled with rage struck at him. She had easily went past his probing strikes with just his singular blade. He would narrow his red vision, and tried to go on the defensive. Her next h move he had thought she would hit his armor, his armor had materials of phrik and knew that if she hit him with her blades, she couldn’t puncture him easily.

However, he hadn’t noticed that just as he thought she would strike him, she stopped and before he knew anything he was sent flying. A hand lowered open palmed as if trying to center himself with the Force. He let out a fierce growl staring back at his enemy. “You have grown strong, but that won’t save you.” He said the anger just dripping into his tone, as he tried to tap into the dark side to duel his power, feeling the dark wave of energy course through his very veins.

He gripped the saber tightly to his hands. Raising it the crescent guard slowly transformed into the full circular guard. With a burst of energy from the Force he would send himself flying towards her. This time the emitters around the circular guard would spin. His lightsaber would hum as the blade spun faster and faster into a rotation. With a snarl Valerian launched himself, letting the force of the spinning saber propel him towards the Cathar, if he didn’t manage to cut her he hoped to go past her with the move, so he could regroup and attack again.

As the Inquisitor was pushed back, she put Liz back in her sheath, her hand swapping to her other blade. She waited, watching Valerian Draak Valerian Draak ignite both his blades as she took a one handed Form I stance, almost as if to taunt the dark sider by taking the most basic stance she could.

But as he got closer...and closer...

The other blade drew, slashing at his lightsaber as it spun. Sally would do it's work, the cortosis blade revealing itself as she hoped to disable his saber. She'd designed the blade for exactly this purpose, honed her fighting style for exactly this type of battle. Inquisitors were a threat that had plagued her before she had taken the ice nap, and now she had the skill to truly take one down without the benefit of luck, or the backup she had before.

It has been a very long time since anyone, let alone someone that would be lower than him or even a superior, told him to shush with a simple gesture. Back then, he be very aggravated and argue about wanting to move back onto the field. Now? He felt old, he felt as if he been commanded to stand down...he learned sometimes it was best to just listen. Plus...he learned a long time ago when a lady gave a command, it was best to never argue on it, nor fight on it unless absolutely necessary.

"Sent to find me? I go off for maybe a day to check a signal....and your mother thought I dropped off the Galaxy? I say, the Inquisition was not even this harsh."

He tried to joke a little, giving a bit of a cough when he tried to laugh. The healing, while he knew felt slightly poor...did enough to slowly regain function and blood flow through certain sections of his body. Slowly breathing in a bit more, he heard her voice a bit more clearly as his right hand went into the open medical kit. Grabbing a small stim out, he flicked the end out completely to expose the needle and carefully injected into his neck the stimulant, the cap rolling down the staircase. When it finished, he pulled it out and flicked the now used stimulant down the staircase with a pant, gently rubbing the area.

"A break is what I consider a year...yes, he is highly skilled. He is apparently from the Brother Sister program...one that I barely had any knowledge over, no still do. They were...before I was inducted. His lightsaber design is what the original model was...in other words, very advanced."

He slowly tried to stand up but he went down rather quickly and just sat there, looking rather annoyed as he closed his eyes to focus for a brief moment. Focusing on the Force, he saw the little strands among his body, his entire being was felt in the Force...his signature increased once more as he studied the environment around him...then finally, he tried to heal his body.

The mind felt clouded, as if every chance he took with the Stim did not assist in the endevour. Like the lady herself, he felt that it had only closed a few cuts...though the one on his left hand was starting to put itself back together, his mouth finally moving as he spoke once more.

"I think...you're right about having to stay here...he can handle a bit of rust...that Jedi is not...is not normal. They are Jedi...that we swore to destroy."

Tella listened to Jegy as she rested so as to better strengthen her connection to the Force. She smiled at his joke about her mother-she was not wrong, Aculia could get a bit obsessive about people and things, but that likely came from her past experiences and (well-hidden) sense of compassion that most did not know about. She viewed Jegy through the Force while he continued, noting the severity of his injuries. That Jedi had truly meant to kill, without thought, snuff out a life like one would snuff out a cigarette. It was very disconcerting to her how the Jedi she had seen so far had been so cavalier about such things.

“Mother is like that, she means well, but she…can be a bit demanding and controlling.” Tella admitted.

Ah, one of the very oldest Inquisitors then, he was. Perhaps he can tell us about Vader and the Emperor, what they were really like, unobscured by the propaganda and the ages one day.

“Perhaps the old Empire was not nearly as bad as the Jedi these days make it out to be. If the type of Jedi is like that woman.…perhaps it was the right move for the Emperor to hunt them down.”

Tella carefully laid her gloved hands on the Sullustan again, feeling she was stronger now to start to heal some of the real damage. Drawing more deeply on the Force than before, she willed the warmth and comfort of the Light Side into the Sullustan’s injuries, letting it mix and churn with body’s own natural repair abilities in a symbiotic manner. Some of the more severe injuries started to close up, some of the fractured bones and tendons beginning to prenaturally mend. Not quite enough for him to be rushing back into combat yet, but with perhaps another round or two…

“I hope he can hold her off long enough until we can get her back to her feet. She’s crazy, even for a Jedi of this era, to try to murder someone she does not even know and who posed no threat to her…”

Valerian had hoped the spinning emitters of the lightsaber would throw the Cathar off guard. He had planned to use the launch to strike, and then if he could get past her strike again. Unlike the frightened survivors of the Emperor’s purge this one had seemed hellbent on revenge. He allowed the force to guide him as he was thrown towards her, but what he didn’t expect was how she would respond with a cortosis weave of her blade struck against the activated blade. Quickly the inquisitor’s blades would fizzle out before shutting off entirely as he was sent flying to the other end of the room. Skidding to the floor and then crashing to the wall, he quickly recomposed himself.

“I see you’ve learned new tricks.” He said the surprise evident in his tone. He quickly pulled out his DT-29 Blaster pistol and fired a few shots in her direction, at the same time he would attempt to bring some decayed wreckage from the walls crashing into her. His saber was rendered useless, and for now he was unlikely to activate it within the next few minutes. He hoped to at the very least slow her down before he could consider his next move.

It was hard for him to accept that within this new age, even he was outmatched. He fought against many foes, but now this one has the inquisitor slightly worried. He hoped that his newfound friends could offer some help, but Valerian was resolved to hold this angry Jedi off for as long as he could.

"New?" She sheathed her blade once more, using her lightsaber to deflect the blaster bolts. The wall coming down took her off guard, pinning her down for the moment.

She'd used Sally to kill her first Inquisitor. There was nothing new about that trick. The lightsabers were new, but she doubted he'd never had to face someone of her level. The wall would only slow her down for the moment, as she gathered the strength to push it off her with the Force.

It wouldn't stop her. She'd take down this agent of Vader. No question about it.

The Sullustan to say the least, was not content on sitting this out any longer than he should have. He focused on the Force, he tried to will it onto his side to heal himself more...and now it felt like it had abandoned him. This was infuriating, this was making him very...very angry. What was going on? What it some unseen power that was refusing him to move from his able bodied position? The more he was thinking, the more angry he was getting at every moment. On her touch though, he had flinched...he felt it healing but it felt...unnatural. No one had touched him with meaning since...

"Sounds like my former boss...name was Alhai Pavan, Inquisitor...could say High. Shorter than me but the meanest streak you ever known. Somehow married a Jedi she kept beating up, imagine that..."

The Empire...how the Jedi were, it was starting to make his blood boil. Using that anger, he started to slowly sit back up after the healing had progressed and the stimulant was circulating quickly through his body. His left hand...it felt usable again. Painfully usable, but better than non-functional as it was earlier. Giving a small movement with his left hand, he groaned as it made loud popping noises as it was going back into place...and possibly pushing bones back together.

"She is no Jedi...she is masquerading as one. These so-called Jedi are the sole reason we came into existence. Why the Galactic Empire was created to quell the uprising!"

The darkside was swelling inside him, it was a built up rage that seemed to be increasing. Perhaps a trigger? Stretching his right arm out, it popped for a moment as the lightsaber of his snapped quickly into the hand. Breathing inward, he looked upward from the large staircase and leaned onto the side with one hand. Exhaling, his Force Signature would spike dramatically, making it very well known where he exactly was at...and more so, how he was absorbing the Force at an alarming rate. This...should honestly be killing the Sullustan...but it was not.

"I...am going to rejoin the party. Care to Join?"

The voice tone changed after one sentence to the next, extending his left arm out towards her. If she accepted, he would nod and focus. If not, he will regardless look back upward and focus still. Regardless of the outcome, he let the Force energy spike to a crescendo and hopped upward as the rush of wind shot them upwards. It felt as if someone had shot them out of a very violent cannon...was this how the Sullustan got around? Reaching towards the top of the staircase, he would move his right hand outwards violently as the energy that propelled them was redirected.

The energy used would slam a large amount of energy, wind like into the doors in front. The doors with little surprise, exploded out with a violent BANG with one being shot directly into the wall and embedding itself. Moving outwards as his body was now starting to smoke from overusing the Force in such a manner, he pulled his right hand back with the door wrenching itself out of the wall violently with a sickening crunch. Then with his eyes starting to turn a paler green, he launched it forward, going directly towards the Jedi in question. He did not expect it to hit her, only grab the Jedis attention as it flew violently past and probably went into another wall.

"Once again, I am proven the Emperors Will was correct! The so-called Jedi have indeed, nothing more than malice and hatred! You are just like the Sith!"

Tella grew increasingly concerned, and was admittedly slightly horrified, at the lengths Sesara was going to get back into battle as soon as possible. She figured at least another round of healing was needed before he could even walk functionally, but his willpower and determination surprised her. She could feel his anger rising as he continued talking about the Jedi, and how heavily he was drawing upon the Force. He was angry, and had every right to be after the supposed warrior of peace and justice tried to straight up murder him. Yet she knew her mother would prefer if they did not openly murder the Jedi, although with the kind of company she had been keeping recently, perhaps there was an asterisk next to that which said “unless it cannot easily be traced back to me or the Empire”. That, and she was still worried for Sesara’s health, he would likely be feeling the strain of this exertion already, she was worried what an extended battle would do to him.

She nodded vigorously as he suggested she come along. She was likely to be the only one who would think about sparing the Jedi’s life at this point.

As if she would appreciate it.

She got quite the surprise as the Sullustan unleashed his barrage of power, launching them all the way back to the top of the staircase, and she got the sense of why exactly her mother had recruited him. Landing on her feet, she watched as the rage-driven Inquisitor tore open the door leading to the two combatants and flung it at the Jedi, almost destroying his own body in the process as he began to smoke.

I am ending this, now!

Giving the Jedi just enough time to dodge the door being flung at her, but not a second later to continue her advance through the beleaguered other Inquisitor’s makeshift defensive barrier, she reached deep into the Force as she flung out both hands, sending numerous silverly filaments of the Force into a circle surrounding Jonyna's body. She then brought her hands together and held them slightly apart so that the tendrils closed in around her, attempting to freeze her in place or at least slow her down significantly to buy time for the other Inquisitor to retreat to safety, yet not crush her. If she tried to break through those lines, it would likely be a contest of Force power between her and Tella, which she thought she could win, or a contest of sheer physical strength vs Tella's strength in the Force, which she felt would be more difficult to take on the Jedi in.

Now trapped behind first wreckage, then a door, and now bound by the wannabe force user, Jonyna needed a chance to breath. She needed to focus...

It was now three on one, she needed to divide and conquer. Focusing through the force, she figured the one holding her in place needed to concentrate to use her powers. Focusing her strength, She moved probably the only thing she could, opening her mouth and letting out a roar that shook through the air, using her aerokinesis to amplify the sound to the point of ear shattering, launching the sonic blast at Tella Voland Tella Voland , before using the rest of her strength to push the debris off her, at least enough to move again.

It was only thanks to Tella already carefully observing and wielding the Force around Jonya that she was able to tell what the Jedi was planning, and account for it. She cursed under her breath-she showed the Jedi the slightest bit of humanity and mercy by not restricting her airflow and she was rewarded by being attacked? A moment before the Force "roar" erupted, she dropped the Force Stasis, hoping she had bought the beleaguered Inquisitor the time he needed to pivot away, and quickly erected two small Force barriers around her ears. She suddenly became completely deaf, the barriers blocking out all sound waves, which was a good thing for her eardrums and her general health. But even though the Jedi had secured her freedom-for now- with her act of defiance, she had traded that for making Tella, the only one of the three not openly furious with her, livid, her face scrunching up in a scowl.

I try to be reasonable, try to be understanding, literally allow her to breathe and she does this to me? I won't make that mistake again for her, or any Jedi.
