STRENGTHS
  • Electrical Strike!: Using the reactors power, it produces a lightning like strike that aims at the target. A mixture of ionic energy and reactor fuel, it can create a nasty striking effect and can burn a hole or blast a hole into any vehicle that gets to close. Infantry shot by this can be considered possibly killed on contact as it electrifies their target.
  • My Systems are Fried!: Not only can it hurt on strike, it can mess with electrical systems and cause malfunctions if shot from to much, the equivilant being an EMP. Those with cap drains should be considered lucky.
  • Faster than a Speeding Turbolaser Bolt!: It strikes with extreme accuracy and speed at whatever it is aimed at, leaving maybe only a precious second or two to get out of electrical strike shot out.
WEAKNESSES
  • Long Recharge Wait: Waiting to fire again requires the reactor to charge the Lightning Strike Cannon and may take from several seconds to a full minute. When firing, it is important to aim well.
  • Needs a Nice Reactor: It cannot be mounted on anything less than large sized vehicles and requires a reactor to keep providing power. Without the reactor, it cannot fire and becomes essentially useless.
  • Don't Break It!: Breaking it during combat can be disastrous as the electrical charge can explode and destroy critical components, possibly even whatever was holding it.
  • Extremely Loud: If you tried to be quiet, firing this would wake anything up in a mile radius with the sound of a lightning bolt. This is not a weapon you wish to use if doing recon operations.
DESCRIPTION
The strange idea of needing an electrical rifle, sized up to the point where it can be used by their own Armored Walkers should never have crossed anyones mind. However the unique situation of dealing with vehicular armor, as well as starfighters that are more equipped to deal with turbolasers and disruptors lead to its creation. After getting a firing demonstration from some ongoing salesmen, Callum Saville requested from his company to produce a much larger version of the weapon, something that can punch holes through enemy armor, melt away also and fry their electrical systems. The result was the Lightning Strike Cannon, produced in their factory for sale.

Operation of the weapon is simple, once the reactor is turned online, the weapon starts to charge and will make a distinct whining noise once ready to fire. Upon firing, it fires faster than a traditional turbolaser bolt and strikes the target with a high kinetic force. If striking a shield, it will start to weaken the shield ionically and possibly thermal wise. If hitting the hull/armor, it discharges the ionic energy to start frying electrical circuits and wherever it struck, will attempt to melt or burn the effective area for a short period of time. It may also bend the hull/armor due to the impact. If hitting an infantry individual, it most likely will be electrocuted and killed, combusted into flames or simply a smoking corpse. Regardless, the Court of Blades are ready to use their newfound weapon and possibly engage in sales with it.
