OVERVIEW

The Iron Covenant is not merely a military alliance, it is a multi-pronged effort to ensure the endurance of Mandalorian culture through the advancement of the Mythos Fleet.

The clans are the heartbeat of the Iron Covenant; they provide the foundational legitimacy that transforms a collection of fleets into a sovereign nation roaming the stars. While the Mythos Fleet serves as the physical vessel for Mandalorian survival, it is the clans that carry the weight of the Storyfire, ensuring that the identity of the people survives through space and time.

Bound by a Covenant of Iron and Blood, these clans have abandoned the stagnation of traditional borders to become a hearth that can be rekindled on a different moon every night.

MANDATE OF THE BLOOD OATH

The legitimacy of the Mythos Fleet is not derived from a throne, but from the collective will and active participation of the individual clans.

• Sovereignty through Contribution: The Covenant gains its status as a legitimate power by successfully executing multi-pronged raids on strategic sectors. Each objective completed by a clan - whether liberating industrial labor or sabotaging Sith production - is a vote for the Fleet's authority.
• The Covenant of Iron and Blood: Legitimacy is anchored in the shared sacrifice of the Alors. By committing their warriors to high-risk missions, the clans prove that the Fleet is the true vanguard of Mandalorian interests.
• The Roaming Hearth: The clans validate the concept of mobile sovereignty. They collectively provide a hearth that moves, legitimising a new way of life where the culture is preserved through the stars.

STEWARDS OF THE STORYFIRE

The clans are the primary engine of endurance within the Covenant. They are the structures designed to ensure that the flame of their history never goes out.

• The Vessel of Memory: The Covenant operates on the principle that "to be remembered is to never truly fall". While individual warriors can be lost in the foundries or the stars, the clan is the social unit that carries those deeds into the future, ensuring they live in legend.
• Cultural Preservation: n the face of Sith oppression, the clans act as the Silent Forge of Mandalorian identity. They are responsible for maintaining the records, encrypted star charts, and resource caches that allow the people to endure in the deep void.
• The Survival of the Line: By participating in the Storyfire, clans turn tactical victories into cultural lore. This ensures that future generations do not see themselves as refugees, but as part of a storied, unbroken lineage that the Sith could not erase.
