  • Hierarchy: Like other Lupo clans, Svärd follows a pyramidal structure, with Kaiha at the top and Zorathi at the bottom.
  • Membership: Hereditary
  • Climate: Currently, Clan Svärd is recovering from years of being fractured.
  • Reputation:
    • As one of the oldest clans with a rich and proud history known by all Lupo, members of Clan Svärd are regarded favorably and with great expectation. Historically they've been known to possess great prowess in battle, steadfastness, and unshakable loyalty to those who gain their favor.
  • Curios:
    • It is said that before the Gods left their children they bequeathed unto them one last gift: five glittering gemstones of supposed divine power. The first Lupo to hold these gems was Thorir the Great of Clan Svärd, who passed them down to his son, and so on. Each ruler that was meant to hold the stones was said to be blessed with the mark of the divine, identifying them as being fit to one day lead. After Clan Svärd fell from grace, the Gods Gems were passed to each consequent Alpha, becoming more a rite of passage than a rite to rule; although, there are many Lupo who still believe in the mysticism of the gems and what they once symbolized.
  • Rules:
    • Like all Lupo, they follow The 6 Virtues of Spirit and a strict adherence to the clan structure. Those who go outside these parameters, or will not submit to clan law, are banished as Lone Wolves - forced to roam and never truly settle.
  • Goals:
    • To unite the Clans and retake their sacred home world.

Clan Svärd was a legendary royal pack that supposedly hailed from a mating between a Lupo woman and the son of their God, Aerðs, lending them their remarkable strength and prowess in battle. Lupo historians believe it to be quite possible that Svärd was one of the first hierarchical clans to form in ancient Lupo history - thus setting the stage for the clan system that many Lupo still follow to this day, often called 'The Old Way'. It is thought that this system led the species through a long period that is referred to as the ‘Golden Age’ until the pack met its tragic downfall at the hands of William Blackmoore and was consequently succeeded by their rivals, The Lechners.

Mistakenly thought to have gone extinct after the conquest, the bloodline was carried on through a cadet branch of the last Anasi’s younger twin brother, Erling Svärd, who escaped the doom of Cælestos and preserved the core line when the Fayth eventually came for them, disappearing into the ether and changing their names to Erevos.

After settling on Seoul 5 the clan became isolated amongst themselves and it was only sometime after the death of Erling that they started to reconnect with broader Lupo society. However, if any Lupo was to mate with their clan, regardless of sex, they were required to leave their clan behind. Svärd would not give up its daughters, especially, carefully maintaining a pure and direct bloodline.

Over time, successive Lupo from various clans that escaped Islimore happened upon the clan and ended up staying, or in some cases finding their mate amongst them, forming a small community that flourished under several different Alphas.

Excerpt from clan lineage book:
The following, in order of age, are the sons and daughters of Erling that were the first born wolves outside their sacred groves:

Eirik, Bjarke, Halvar, Kustaa, Rangvaldr, Sigurd, Helle, Ingrid, Ase, Valda

Long ruled Erling was led successfully into his twilight of one-hundred and sixty years before his faithful son Eirik, who’d sat proudly and tall at his side, succeeded him.

Eirik begat seven children:

Sif, Azen, Alkimos, Njall, Llyr, Hrokr, Khrysaor

Alpha Eirik led the great clan of Svärd to greater heights of prosperity in his reign of one-hundred and eighty-eight years before passing into Freann, but it was not Eirik’s beloved son Azen that would take the clan further. Sorrowladen, Alkimos bore the burden and carried the mantle.

Like his father, Alkimos begat seven children:

Völsung, Magni, Ander, Syver, Soren, Thrain, Vigrid

The moon became new one-hundred and fifty-eight times before the end of Alkimo’s reign, but it was his son Ander who demanded the rite of challenge to take the hand of the fair Aðalrós, the sweetest of maidens, to be his mate. Ander was ordained by the pack upon his victory.

These are the ilk of Ander:

Ragnheiður, Ásdís, Sigrlinn, Kristján, Jóhann, Magnús, Ólafur, Stefán

Growing from one gift to another, Ander dwelt surrounded and beloved by all, his hearth full of children, songs and new wolves who’d come weary from their ancestral Godly Groves - rejoicing in the hope of life. Ander grew old as a gnarled oak before a new generation took root, and in his hundred and eightieth year, Ander yielded the title of Alpha to his most beloved son, Sigrlinn.

Well past his prime before he found a worthwhile mate, Sigrlinn bore but twin sons before his grim end:

Alòis, Volund

Alòis, son of Sigrlinn, lived his life in loathing, ever in the shadow of his great father Sigrlinn. The clan suffered for his bitterness.

Through Alòis was begat four sons:

Jhann, Veldir, Dreki, and Rhayse

Valiant Jhann and his fearless brothers took the Clan by force from their tyrant father. Men and women sang of his victory and clung to the hope of a more glorious future.

The Alpha was God Blessed with three daughters before his mates untimely death:

Miera, Rana, Aelin
