STRENGTHS
- Star Defender
- As a Modified Viscount-Class Star Defender, the Chronicle of Vontor is a premier warship on the battlefield with it being designed to engage in one on one encounters with other capital grade ships without suffering catastrophic damage.
- Skeleton Crew
- With a rather limited pool of recruitment available to the 99th Rancor Fleet, The Chronicle of Vontor was extensively modified to allow it to operate at full capacity without the need for a large crew with most systems being automated.
- Extensive Capabilities
- The Chronicle of Vontor comes equipped with extensive starfighter capacity, armaments and defensive components to make it truly a juggernaut on the field.
- Automation
- The downside of most systems being automated is that Ion/EMP Weaponry and Internal Disruptions to the Mainframe can disrupt the overall efficiency of the Chronicle of Vontor. Which can leave the vessel a sitting duck in most engagements.
- Very Low Maneuverability
- Very Low Speed
The Chronicle of Vontor was originally known as Calamari's Plight underneath the New Republic and served for several generations as a premier flagship within the New Republic 4th Expansionary Fleet engaging in pitched battles with the Imperial Remnant. Although damaged time and time again, the Mon Calamari Shipyards were fully committed to keeping the vessel operational until the Shipyard's eventual demise by the Armada of the One Sith during their invasion. Calamari's Plight was then retired out of service temporarily when her main reactor core became unstable and risked the destruction of the crew on board. And the 4th Expansionary Fleet was assigned a new flagship in exchange underneath Admiral Gil Acklar. Although she was kept within arms reach should the New Republic Fleet require her to be pulled from retirement.
Calamari's Plight would be let go when the New Republic required extra money but was stripped of most of her armaments and defenses. Through several shell corporations, the Mon Calamari Star Defender would land within the hands of the Hutt Cartels to serve as a luxury yacht ferrying passengers and hutt lordas throughout Hutt Space to showcase their immense wealth compared to others within the galaxy. Renaming it as The Venture Boonzatta and modifying it eventually with additional weaponry and automation of functions deemed noncritical to operation.
The Venture Boonzatta would be semi-destroyed by the Bryn'adul Empire as they rampaged through Hutt Space and the remnants would be purchased by the Wyndham Corporation underneath Thaddus Wyndham, a rather shadow conspirator who then repaired the vessel to its former glory and presented it to its main patronage in the form of the Gorensla Kajidic and serve as the Head of the 99th Rancor Fleet under their control.
Iermin the Hutt would rename the vessel the Chronicle of Vontor to mark the celebration of the Third Battle of Vontor which saw the defeat of the Xim Empire in the Tion Sector.
