BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Jakku to a family of kesium gas miners, Cathul has been noticed from a young age for her nearly perfect memory and also intellectual prowess, although the latter is less apparent than her memory. Because she lived in a mining community that didn't value the life or the attributes of the mind, she was bullied all the way until high school was over, from which she graduated as the valedictorian. Also, because Jedi or Sith recruiters often bypassed Jakku, her Force-using abilities were undetected for many years, until she undertook a medical examination prior to attending Dagobah Tech University on a full-ride awarded to residents of "educationally-challenged planets", double-majoring in psychology and in applied mathematics. Before then, she always thought of her latent Force-sensitivity as simply having a brain that gives her "twice the power". With her newfound happiness, she decided to use the Force to help people but she wanted to use it in more cerebral ways than what is commonly assumed. Since she'd rather not pick a side in the spectrum of Force-users, she ruled out diplomacy as one such option, and business left her a little empty, she chose to become a witch.
Thanks to her newfound spell of alcohol generation, she became a favorite in parties as an undergraduate, but that spell also became her introduction to alcohol. In Twi'lek culture, therapy is often considered a medical area of practice, and she would be referred to as a witch doctor by her family left behind on Jakku. Even though she landed a spot on Ando Prime to specialize in therapy (she found Dagobah Tech to be taking too long in this respect: 2 standard years to earn a psychotherapy degree vs. 5) she spent much of these two years dancing in what few cantinas Centrum, the capital of Ando Prime, had, becoming the highest-priced exotic dancer on the planet for those two years.
She set up her practice on Mandalore, capitalizing on the Mandalorians' lax regulations on healthcare practitioners and also the severe lack of mental health workers on Mandalore, as well as the lure of easily building a patient base. With her ownership of the Mandalore Psychology Clinic, she asserted complete control over Mandalore's mental healthcare on behalf of Clan Lok.
Shortly after testing broomsticks, she realized that she could modify the mass of an object using the Force. That fateful meeting with one of the designers of the broomsticks led her to postulate, together with [member="Jessica Med-Beq"] that theory of the Force called quantum magic. From that day onward, she will be known as the Quantum Witch. After going back from Ringo Vinda to Mandalore, she took a stop on Azure and uncovered Siri Tachi's lightsaber, that she now uses because it is a treasure of the Force despite not being an improvement over her old white-bladed lightsaber as a weapon.
As governor of Azure, she took to various means to improve on the public finances of the beleaguered and hitherto abandoned planet, being instructed by the Alor'e Council to build up Azure to the point of being a proper clan base. But she stopped her therapeutical practice after one uncooperative patient nearly beat her to death. From this point onward, she had all her patients transferred to other therapists on various planets, but mostly on Mandalore or Azure. May she become a better planetary governor, or corporate executive, than she was a therapist.
As time went on, she used her newfound corporation to help rebuild not simply Azure, but also Athos IV, Kriselist and Shawken, in chronological order, as well as providing 100,000 units of social housing on Gala. She has nevertheless made history by achieving two feats once considered unthinkable for Jedi: her process of conversion to the light was entirely corporate-driven and she is the first known Jedi to own and run a bank; previously Force-using bankers were assumed to be vulnerable to the dark side of the Force.
After the Alor'utai, in which she barged, abusing an improper channel to communicate her resignation of Azure, she lost all status she used to enjoy among Mandalorians. Nevertheless, due to the Alliance wanting to make a more active use of its Jedi across all spheres of activity, she became a naval commander who is, as of this date, still rather fresh, even though her first taste of naval combat came over Hakassi. She became responsible for developing several of the main heavy units of Therapy Command, of which she is the commanding officer, intended to be used for space denial. As a result, she spearheaded the work on Inysh to treat as many refugees as she possibly could during the Atrisia Campaign and then some, making her reconcile with her past as a healthcare professional and compelling her to pursue medical practice, albeit in a different form than originally. But as a result of her crimes in Mandalorian land, she is not welcome in Mando-land, and tortured for those, even though her life was spared.
To this day she is still known as a witch spellweaver among Alliance Force-user circles since she focused much more heavily on the Force vs. the lightsaber.
