COMPOSITION INFORMATION
  • Army Size: Huge
  • Composition:
  • - Catharian Army Troopers (C.A.T): Main Military arm fresh from the various recruiting stations located on both Cathay, its moon, and its Orbital Station. These troopers are the most numerous ground forces used by the Catharian Hegemony and are skilled, and well trained and utilize. These troopers incorporate manufacturing methods hailing from either the Old Republic or Revan's Sith Empire and as such, their Armor and weapons show this fact. Troopers in this sub-branch often use Blaster Rifles, Pistols, Rotary Cannons and Thermal Imploders to eviscerate their foes on the squad level.
  • Catharian Storm-Trooper (C.S.T): A small minority inside of the Catharian Hegemony's Militarized Arm. These Troopers are not bred like a regular human being but are grown from a sort of Genetic Stock of a Mandalorian Repentant by the name of Ren Ordo. These beings are cloned from said gene seed and form the Storm Trooper Corps of the Catharian Military and utilize state-of-the-art equipment and arms such as particle rifles and Blaster Cannons. Their armor consists of a armorweave bodyglove and heavy Ceremite full-coverage body armor.
  • Catharian Orbital Assault Trooper (O.A.T): Specialized Shock Troopers trained for high orbital invasion via low opening drop pods. These Troopers utilize a slightly lighter variant of the Regularized Army Trooper Armor. These troopers use blaster carbines and compact blaster cannons.
  • Catharian Infiltrator: One of the smaller sub-branches of the Catharian Army, Infiltrators are often members trained from birth to utilize their skills in espionage, evasion, and sabotage. The species this branch is comprised of vary greatly from Humans, to Bothans, and to even Sith or Jedi Turncoats. Highly dangerous in close quarters. Equipment varies upon wealth and experience of Infiltrator.
  • Catharian Psi Operative: A force sensitive member of the Elite Cambrian 18th Shock Troops. All members of this Division are force sensitive and utilize both Dark Side force powers alongside Light Side Powers. At least two of these Shock Troopers can project miles wide Force Storms.
  • Catharian Space Marine: An archaic and obsolete form of Genetically Altered Super-Soldier. Once designed as a means to combat larger Aliens, such as Hutts, and Vong Brutes. They have been delegated to a rear line role. They performed well in their duties in the past, as a blunt force object. However, with the advent of newly created technology to combat larger and larger Bryn'Adul brutes and monstrosities of the Forces of Chaos. The entire corps of 50,000 Marines has been rendered obsolete. As of now, they are mainly delegated to the removal of their previous implants to better become Shock Marines, or are simply used in planetary defense.
  • Catharian Shock Marine: A newly created, and recently perfected genetically and biochemically altered Super-Solder created by by the Catharian Institute of Technology. Shock Marines are considered the pinnacle of what Genetic and Cybernetic Alteration has to offer in the transhuman initiatives. They are considered physically superior to their earlier Space Marine counterparts. A main cutting edge, that they hold over their earlier counterparts. Is the modularity of the Genes that are introduced into a new Marine's Body. A refined form of genetic stock, taken from Xzaien herself allows for an extremely powerful musculature, or an extremely quick frame. Now with the advent of Soldier miniaturization, Shock Marines can either be specified for the large frame and body of their predecessors, or for an entirely human like height and stature. Obviously, the larger Marine can take more damage than its smaller counter part, but they are used for two very different purposes. The larger, code-named Heavies are the blunt edge of the Catharian army, used more for blunt trauma rather than surgical precision like their smaller counterparts. Unlike their previous brethren, Shock Marines now take stock from both Males, and Females. Allowing for a larger recruiting pool.
  • Sons and Daughters of Xzaien: Ten Sons and Daughters of the Autocrat Herself. Five Male, and Five Female Warriors derived directly from Xzaien's genetic code. Each were created with a specific purpose in mind, and excel extraordinarily as both Generals and Garrison Officers. However, little is known about how they are created. A secret, likely only known to the best scientific minds the Hegemony has on hand.
MEMBERS

Xzaien [Commander in Chief] : A rather mysterious force user hailing from the world once known as Cathar located in the Mid Rim. What is known about her history is up for debate as she had never publicly shared her story to the Catharian Peoples. Considered to be a Master in Many Dark-side Techniques and a widespread practitioner of Battle-Meditation and the conjuration of Highly Destructive Force-Storms. No one has actually seen her perform any sort of aggressive action personally and by her hand to date... mostly relying on her followers to destroy her enemies rather than her hand personally.

High Admiral Raxis Keyes [Joint Task-Force Commandant]: Former Republic Rear Admiral, Raxis Keyes once commanded a Republic Fleet during the Mandalorian Wars and the subsequent First Jedi Purge. Eventually, Keyes deserted the Republic Navy with his fleet and dissapeared into the unknown regions where he found Xzaien's fledgling Hegemony. Having declared loyalty, Raxis and the leader of the Sith Deserters, Favrek Kriibaan formulated the 1st Founding and Unification of both Sith and Republic forces during the War of the Diamond.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Prior to the Creation of the Unified Catharian Armed Forces, the Army existed as a extremely small security force recruited from the very first Cathar refugees fleeing the Mandalorian Genocides. Back then the army was little more than a Glorified local Police Force equipped with hardly any militarized hardware when they arrived on Cathay all those millennia prior. Prior to the 1st Founding, Republic and Sith deserters arrived on Cathay, with most of those within those respective forces actively hating eachother once each came to know the other was present on Cathay. During this time, the Catharian Army was almost non-existant and an extremely weak security force was put into place to prevent more Republic and Sith Bloodshed. But, during the War of the Diamond, a Republic Senator illegally invaded Cathay with a large fleet in a ill-fated attempt to conquer it for himself. During this Crisis, the Council of Cathay was formed with Republic Admiral Raxis Keyes, and Sith Dark-Jedi Favrek Kriibaan forming a unification plan to fight back this illegally sponsored invasion by the Republic. Thus began the 1st Founding and formation of the very first Catharian Army Legions. These early legions consisted of a Joint-Task Force of both former Republic Troopers and Sith Troopers during the Jedi Civil War. Now unified, these Legions utterly decimated the Republic Invaders and Captured the Senator at its head.

After the War of the Diamond, the leaders of the Joint Task Force met with Xzaien to discuss a plan of full unification of its peoples and armies into a centralized Catharian Armed Forces. During these talks, the Catharian Legions were reorganized into the Catharian Imperial Ground Forces just prior to Xzaien being crowned as Autocrat. The Navy was also reformed in this time and thus began the Second Founding. Once the Second Founding began, the Imperial Army began its transition into a rag-tag militia force into a professional militarized arm of Cathay's People. During this time, standardization began, first beginning with the Armor of the Soldiers. The armor soon took designs from both Revan's Sith Troopers, and Early Republic Trooper armors and as such formulated the standardized Infantry wear of both the Catharian Army and Navy branches respectively. Aswell as the formation of the First Space Marine Chapters to augment the Army and Naval Ground Forces.

After the 2nd Founding, Xzaien ordered Cathay's peoples to enter Hibernation likely to project themselves forward in times and to protect themselves from an unseen threat. That threat did come in the form of Darth Sidious's Galactic Empire. But, something happened during this time which saw their hibernation pods staying unopened until 850ABY. Now awoken, what is to be seen of the Catharian Army has yet to be seen properly.

Xanthum the Mighty Xanthum the Mighty Alrighty! Let's get this going. First, great sub and a nice addition to the growing Cathar Hegemony stuff. I'm really enjoying seeing all of it come together. Just a few things needing to be taken care of first.

REQUIRED:
1. Refer to the template given for armies and add Permissions to OOC Information and fill in any necessary links.
Permissions: [Please link any Marketplace purchase or similar approvals to use other Writers’ content as part of this submission.]

2. Relink the names in Members as the links have been broken due to the server change and update.

3. Link the Cathar Hegemony under Affiliation as it is now a faction. Additionally, relink Xzaien under affiliation due to the broken links.

SUGGESTIONS:
1. When/if the submissions are made for the units under Compositions, I recommend you come back via a modification request and link them for ease of access between subs.

Xanthum the Mighty Xanthum the Mighty Hello! I noticed that the member links are still broken. That should be the last fix needed!

Xanthum the Mighty Xanthum the Mighty

Greetings,

I will be working with you on the changes that need to be made to this submission. It's perfectly fine to emulate thing things that we like and hold a desire to see them come to life on Chaos, however, there comes a point in which it is far too on the nose. This is one of those times.

We have two rules to observe.

1.) No cross overs. All submissions need to conform to the general idea of Star Wars. No Gundams, no Transformers, no Pokemon etc.
2.) Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Small excerpts may be included from other sources in a sub, but they must include a credit, link, and be clearly marked. (It's important to note that the definition of plagiarism includes not only word for word copies, but, the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own.)
Between these two rules "No Crossovers" are where we're running the most afoul. Beyond that, there are a few other things that need fixing. Bear in mind that neither the Codex nor the Factory operates on precedent. As such, I'm treating this as a new review.

I'll start at the top.

1.) Image Credit: What you have listed doesn't match up. These images don't appear where you're linking. They should be as follows:
C.) Matrix Reloaded Agent - You can link to the Cast Page for The Matrix Reloaded IMDB.
Music Credit: You have YouTube links scattered throughout the submission linking music. Most of them are the yellow links that show up beneath the "Composition" section. Music is just as relevant as an image.
2.) Headquarters: The link to Cathay doesn't work because this submission was approved before the site move. Please link it.
3.) Warhammer 40K Terminology: Throughout the submission, I can still see words or phrases that are obviously referencing Warhammer 40K. Things such as Space Marines [X], Gene Seeds, genetic templates, transhumans (While it does exist outside of this sphere it is a term often used in 40K to describe the ascended physical state achieved after regular humans survive being turned into Adeptus Astartes), genetically altered super-soldier, the implants, etc...You get the idea. If it were only one of these things? Or a couple? It wouldn't be such a big deal. As it stands, there's a lot lifted from 40K - Too much - And we're Star Wars. These similarities bring us into crossover territory. Further adjustments will need to be made to both differentiate it and make it your own.

4.)
Under Catharian Storm-Trooper (C.S.T) Section: Gene Seeds, as mentioned previously, don't belong to Star Wars. The bigger issue here is that these troopers are wearing armor using a material named Ceremite. This doesn't exist in Star Wars either. You'll need to remove this, create your own material in the Factory, or utilize a Star Wars equivalent.

5.) Under Catharian Psi Operative Section: You mention "Elite Cambrian" soldiers...What do they have to do with Catharian Operatives? Upon further investigation, that term shows that it was also taken from 40K in the form of the Ringworld of Cambria. Or was it a slip for Cadian?

6.) Under Catharian Space Marine: This will need edits as mentioned above. They are the 40K Space Marines. An "Archaic and obsolete form of Genetically Altered Super-Soldier" and even the term "advent" being used in this way is shown easily in the Wiki submission. The line "The entire corps of 50,000 Marines has been rendered obsolete. As of now, they are mainly delegated to the removal of their previous implants to better become Shock Marines" is what happened to the Space Marines in 40K to usher in the Primaris.

7.) Catharian Shock Marine: These are the Primaris. Beyond that? The name needs to go. It is true that Star Wars has "Imperial Shock Troopers" but in light of the fact that this submission heavily relies on 40K content, I can't imagine that's what you were referencing. Especially with the Cadian Shock Troops that are affiliated with the Astra Militarum that you linked above.

8.) Sons and Daughters of Xzaien: This section/idea is also taken from 40K. It's a vaguely altered rendition of the Primarch. Granted, it's progressive with the inclusion of Daughters, but it's still the same thing. Bred with a specific purpose from Xzaien's genetic code to be Generals?

9.) Founding: This word, or a version of it, is littered throughout this submission. The Founding is unique to 40K.
A.) I see references to it beneath High Admiral Raxis Keyes "Having declared loyalty, Raxis and the leader of the Sith Deserters, Favrek Kriibaan formulated the 1st Founding and Unification of both Sith and Republic forces during the War of the Diamond."
a.) First Founding: The very first line on the Wiki states that it took place in the "Unification" wars.
B.) The History is full of 1st and 2nd Foundings. I've bolded and colored them for you.

Referring to it as "Space Marine Chapters" is directly lifted from 40K. In the end, they wound up in hibernation. Just like a "vast number" of Primaris Marines during the Indomitus Crusade. From one end of this submission to the other, in nearly every paragraph, I see very little but Warhammer 40K. Names, themes, events, tech, science, and even straight-up story elements.

As it stands? This submission needs a heavy rework. In all honesty, I don't know if it's possible to simply edit out a few things here and there to make it acceptable. The entire submission leans so heavily on Warhammer that it's extremely hard to see where your ideas begin and Warhammer ends.

From here - You have two options:

1.) I will return this Submission to Pre-Codex where you can attempt to correct the issues I've outlined for you above.
2.) You can request that it be Archived and start from scratch at your leisure.

I also would hope that this would serve as a warning for the future. We've walked it through. Explained every reason, every aspect. We're on the same page from here on out. Any further infractions of this nature posted after this date will result in a ban from the Codex.

Please tag me when you're ready to proceed or if you need assistance. Thank you!
