Casus Belli (Tygaran Alliance/Galactic Alliance vs First Order Rebellion of Kaeshana)

Tempest

Storm of the Force
Location: By the Villa overlooking Santaissa, moving on the Citadel of Dawn ruins.

Santaissa is about 5km from their current location, and much higher (the city is in a valley). The Citadel of Dawn is further along the mountain crest, 10km from Santaissa, 5km or so from the villa.

Allies: [member="Aeron Kreelan"] [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] [member="HK-36"] [member="Nima Tann"] [member="Sed Frieder"] [member="Taryc Ap'Irae"] [member="Six-O"] [member="Michael Sardun"]
Enemies: [member="Project X-2"][member="Pharazon Draken"] [member="Valius Rau"] [member="Asharad Graush"] [member="Carlyle Rausgeber"]

There was no more time for reflection. It was time for action.

“Enemy aircraft incoming, ma’am.”
“Deploy Hydras and Typhoons with anti-air missiles. That should keep them back from this position. Order the artillery to fire on the Citadel of Dawn. We will be moving there directly. Order one section of artillery to fire on enemy positions outside the city. We don’t want them to gather their strength, but be careful not to hit the city.”

So, with Siobhan and the others they’d move towards the Citadel of Dawn where the First Order had taken up a position.

Tempest herself looked at the looming Star Destroyer. They’d have to do something about it.

Forces and deployment:
  • One unit Typhoons with anti-air engaging TIE fighters and bombers attacking villa defences.
  • One unit Hydras engaging TIE fighters and bombers attacking villa defences.
  • One unit Typhoons engaging defenders at Citadel of Dawn.
  • Two units Thunderers engaging defenders at Citadel of Dawn.
  • Motorised infantry, vehicles and walkers moving on the Citadel of Dawn.

Desmond C'artyom had never been a very honest man. He fought against the Gallactic Alliance, then for them, Then simply quit. Now he was back again, like a lover whose call he simply could not resist, but this time he brought roses.

Four FC-115 bomber's whose hyper velocity guns and ion bombs would make short work of most enemy frigates. He flew his old X-wing and was joined by a squadron of TIEs. They hopped out of hyperspace relatively unbeknownst compared to the large behemoths that towered over them.

"Hailing Commodore @Villin and Admiral [member="Cathul Thuku"]. This is Purge squadron. We are ready and able to assist,"

Desmond and his squadron flew low beneath the massive Alliance ships then knifed upwards in a attempt to link with the main fleet. He banked along the outer edges and ordered the bombers to group within the middle of the fleet.

Objective: Shore Up Defenses
Location: First Order Landing Zone
Allies: First Order
Enemies: GA and their Allies
----------------------------------------------------------
The 9th Guard Division was sent to the First Order's primary landing zone to secure the area to allow for stormtroopers to land and take the fight to the Galactic Alliance. Garett's company of combat engineers were given orders to shore up the defenses around the landing zone. That meant bunkers, mines, kill zones, predesignating mortars, wire barriers for the enemy troops to get tangled in, and medical evacuation stations. Garett looked over at his troopers, everyone was being efficient working hard and fast. Sgt. Illarian was standing next to Garett looking over the troopers as well. It wasn't the glory like his days back with the 242nd Armored, but it was more peaceful, and in a way more important job. That was Garett though he always wanted to make sure important things were taken care of.
"Sergeant Illarian, I'm going out to the wire to make sure those troopers are doing their job right, hard to see them out there."
"Yes Sir. Want me to come with you?"
"No Sergeant, if something were to happen to me I need you to lead the company. The troopers respect you Sergeant, they will follow you."
"Understood sir."
Garett walked out towards the front line of the defenses. His troopers nodding as he passed. He didn't like getting salutes in a war zone too easy for a sniper to pick him off at that point. The Lieutenant, got to front of the defensive lines started to look over the wire positions. Everything seemed to be going along very well. He didn't need to fix anything, it was right up to spec on how the Defense Army needed to work their magic. He gave a slight nod that everything was great and started to walk back towards where Sgt. Illarian was. There was suddenly a rush of heat that pulsed through his body, followed up by cold. He could see troopers running towards him, as well as Sgt. Illarian. It was then he realized he had been shot by a sniper. It wasn't the GA as his troopers killed the perpetrator it was a local sympathizer for the GA though. His troopers grabbed him and rush him back to one of the Aid Stations. Sgt. Illarian never left his side. Laying in one of the beds, coughing, he had lost a lot of blood already. He couldn't really speak but he could tell Sgt. Illarian was holding back tears. Garett garnered enough strength to talk, it was hard for him as he would cough up blood periodically.
"Sergeant Illarian, *cough cough* I as a final order, transfer command of *cough* the 9th Guards Division, 409th Regiment *cough*, 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, Dorn *cough* Company, to you Sergeant *cough* First Class Viera Illarian."
Viera nodded, speechless. It was hard for her to come to terms that there was nothing anyone could do to help the young Lieutenant. In a way she felt like she failed him. It was her duty to protect him, and make sure he lived to command the company. Yet with his command style which drove her up the wall, was difficult at times. This was one of the downsides of how Garett commanded his forces, there would be the possibility of being killed. One of the troopers walked into the tent.
"Lt. Van, Sgt. Illarian, we have the man that shot the Lieutenant. He didn't make it to be interrogated, but we got payback for sure."
Viera nodded, as a tear escaped her eyes, she rose, drew her sidearm, walked outside, and Garett could hear four shots ring out from her blaster. Viera stood over the corpse of the sniper, now with four extra blaster wounds. Not that it mattered at this point, but it made her feel a tad bit better. Garett just nodded as he closed his eyes one final time. Viera walked back into the tent to see that Garett passed away a smile on his face, she fell to her knees ordered everyone out of the tent, and broke down crying over the lost of her Commanding Officer, and friend.

Bridge of the Avenger

The blue dimension of hyperspace dispersed around the large Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Avenger as the ship reverted at the planet of New Balosar, near the Kaeshana system where they had just left. Graf strode onto the bridge for another status report, he was down in the medical bay checking on his wounded daughter earlier. "Did the Imperial Fleet receive our transmission a few hours earlier?" The old man queried the overseeing bridge lieutenant, who nodded and began to speak "Yes, sir. They reported moments ago that they had passed the Alliance homeworld of Sullust, en route from Kamino. The Fleet should be here within the hour, we will have more than enough time to respond to Kaeshana in force."

The aged admiral nodded and seated himself in the command chair, considering the events that had just happened. Earlier in the day Graf had arrived at Kaeshana on a hunch and saved his dying daughter on the surface, as they returned to his vessel reports that a First Order battlefleet along with an invasion force was enroute, causing the Imperials to retreat from the system to consolidate their forces to counter-attack. Tanomas had no idea why he would be actively trying to help the Galactic Alliance, was part of it to make up with his daughter, the other part his integrated hatred of the First Order, the pretenders. Only once this battle was over could he truly examine the cause, though only one thing was certain. Open war between the Order and the Alliance had began, and there was only two things the Remnant could do, sit back and watch, or show that they were the real thing.

According to the doctors, his daughter, his cub, was in bad condition, but she was not dying, not by a longshot. Last he had seen before he had left for the bridge, they were submerging her in a bacta tube to heal her wounds. The old man was adamant about bringing the Avenger into the first battle of a long war with his child aboard, but he had to do it. An ensign piped up from his communications console, alerting Graf about who had arrived at Kaeshana.

The Vindicator, one of the first Imperial X-class Star Destroyers and the flagship of his former friend Carlyle Rausgeber had been spotted, as well as the vessel of Basileus Isaurous, who he was rather fond of during his time in the First Order. He knew during this battle that he could have to try to kill his once-friendly comrades of the Order, or he could attempt to capture them and spare them the fate of death. Either way relations were as frozen as Hoth right now between him and the Order. Another alert popped up on the communications channel.

The Imperial Fleet had arrived.

Gearing up, it felt just like any other assignment. This time though, Max knew it was the start of something big. The Galactic Alliance wants to "liberate" this planet, but by Roan he would make sure this wouldn't happen. And if it did, the rubble of Santaissa would be all that's left.

Armour? Check. Weapons? Check. Overbearing dedication to his ancestors-I mean lightsaber? Check. Rallying his platoon, they stood to attention. Standing tall with bloodstripes painted on their helmets, they were ready. The battle had already begun in some places, however Max was sure that he had the time to do some more preparations. But now the time had come to deploy.

Before leaving his tent, he made a quick contact with others via his communicator "May the force be with you, General. We'll make sure to put up a fight." Switching transmission to local, he notified nearby troops of their status "Bloodstripes deployed. Draken, we'll be pretty close by, so I'll communicate anything important that you may not see."

"Enemy ships engaged with ours" a communication came over. They were trying to break through, but he wouldn't put it past them that some had already done so. Activating his macrobinoculars, he scanned the horizon, eagerly awaiting any contact.

Blissfully unaware of the men and women preparing to rain death upon them from a hill, Besh Squad continued along their path. Ruined buildings flanked them on either side. It was a perfect death trap, a glorious place for an ambush, something Esker was slowly starting to note. Quietly he contemplated the idea of mentioning it to the Sergeant, wondering how obvious it was (or wasn't) to the others. They'd realize it too, right? He thought, frowning a little. Before he could decide whether or not to say anything, Sergeant Khalthe raised his hand, signaling for the men to halt. Suddenly concerned, Esker leaned to the side trying to see past his fellow men. Next to him his buddy KH-0080 was doing the same. At the same time that the Private saw what had made them stop, Eighty let out a quiet gasp. Sitting propped up against a wall was a young woman, wearing what looked like rags, with bloody bandages wrapped around her head and hands. She was shaking a little, as well as making noises akin to moans of pain. It tugged at Esker's heartstrings. Without thinking he started moving forward, knowing that he had enlisted to help others, knowing that he couldn't forgive himself if he stood idly by. He almost made it past the others, just a few footsteps away when the Sergeant put a heavy hand on his shoulder. Quickly he turned to protest, not noticing Eighty slipping by him, unsure of why his commander would stop him.

"Kid, stay put! We don't know if this is a friendly or a trap," Khalthe explained, voice low and harsh. There was a certain edge to his voice that made Esker want to hang his head in shame. But there wasn't time for that, as Eighty was already in front of the civilian, kneeling in front of her. "Zero-Zero-Eight-Zero, get your damn arse back here!" The Sergeant said over their squad comm, turning to face the younger man. To his surprise his order was ignored, and Eighty continued to try to talk to the woman. His hand was outstretched, offering assistance, and he spoke in hushed whispers, trying to sound comforting. It was what Esker had planned on doing, or at least close to it. At first he didn't understand what was wrong with his friend's actions, until he noticed one of the woman's arms shifting beneath her clothes. Is that...? He thought, eyes widening. When the woman reached a hand out to grasp Eighty's, his concern briefly faded. Relief, of course, shattered in an instant. In the span of a single blink, the woman pulled Eighty forward with surprising strength, launched her free hand forward, and lodged a vibro-dagger between two of his armor's plastoid panels. There was a yelp from him, which synced awkwardly with the native's battle cry. One of the other troopers launched into action, pulling out his blaster rifle and aiming it, all while the local tried to overpower her opponent.

In another split second, a blaster went off, the bolt launching forward and slamming into the woman's unarmored head. She fell without so much as a breath, collapsing next to a panicking Eighty. The man responsible for the rescue surged forward, pulling a medkit off of his belt as he did, immediately getting to work. When the Sergeant spoke up, however, everyone froze.

"You gorram idiot! Every fether in range is gonna have heard that!" He roared into the comm, starting to glance around as he did. Esker temporarily thrust aside his worry for his friend, now doing the same as his commander, trying to find signs of enemy combatants. Though he wasn't sure, he thought he heard the sound of footsteps in the distance. Evidently the others did as well, as they pulled out their blasters, looking around wildly as they did. "Get in position, boys! Find cover if you can, 'cause we're in for a chit-storm!" With that said the squad started rushing, trying to find good places to stand. But they weren't quick enough- within moments came the sound of blasterfire, as the first of the locals joined the ambush...

Kyrel walked along the area killing all those that were in his path. Whenever he encountered pirates he would execute them, and allowed the civilians to flee. He relished it,his bloodlust however was never sated. He desired to face against a Jedi, someone worthy of his skills than a mere pirate that was just a waist. He than attacked a group of pirates that was hiding in a abandoned building and made short work of them. He instructed his troopers such as [member="BE-183"] to execute the scum regardless if they surrender or not. He was in no mood to take prisoners.

He walked deeper into the surroundings, hoping to find a more worthy foe. He was itching for a better fight as he felt that he was wasting his time. He walked deeper and deeper into the streets, the troops fanning out,to follow the orders that they were given. Merely to see and destroy, and if they find what is considered to be considered hostile, they are ordered to kill it. His saber was lowered as he kept walking down the streets his anger boiling like a storm in the distance.

Gould listened to the transmission, then nodded.
“Commodore, this is Admiral Gould, acknowledge your presence, good to see you. We are prepared and ready for action. We will advance on your flank.”

The reply from Tarissa came in. Fortunately the Eldorai’s pride had not made her stubborn. Those ships were needed here and now.

“Scans report the enemy is just around the rim of the planet. They look like they’re retreating.”
“Staying out of range. Wise. Let us not be hasty though. They almost certainly have more ships than we’ve seen. Best not charge into a trap.”

She pulled up a line to Vilin. “Commodore, I suggest we skirt out into space and come at them more perpendicular rather than follow the curve of the planet. They have less chance of them ambushing us or hiding forces…it’ll also give our reinforcements an easier chance to join us.”

For now though several scouting fighters would be sent forward to gauge the strength of the enemy positions.

Crusading Coalition, assemble! Alas, there was no time for socialising. Otherwise Siobhan might've responded with a quip in response to Aeron's comment about her penchant for losing limbs. Or remembered that she and Sardun had been in the Army of Light together. The one from way back when there was a Sith Empire not ruled by the One Sith's Dark Lord. Does anyone remember that time?

Or she would've been happier about Aeron addressing her as Exarch. It was nice that her time in office was remembered! "If they do unto Kaeshana as they did to Eriadu, there'll be hell to pay." That was the only thing Siobhan had to say. Her tone was chilly, as cold as the worst snowstorms on Hoth. She felt naught but hatred and contempt for the First Order.

It was not just another fascist warlord state that sought to cloak its true nature with flowery rhetoric about 'removing disorder'. She'd gladly crush the Supreme Leader with her mind, assuming he even existed and was not just a fancy hologram. Deep down, she was furious.

Firemane's artillery roared, belching out missiles and shells. Those First Order bombers who tried to bomb the party into oblivion were greeted with a hailstorm of missiles and fire from the Hydra's rotary cannons. Between this, Nima's mentalism and Siobhan's telekinesis, their anti-air defences were quite formidable. Furthermore, artillery fire rained down upon the ruins of the Citadel. It was said that artillery was the king of the battlefield and there was truth to that.

giphy.gif

Suddenly her comm beeped. To her surprise, a Trandoshan War Chieftain was calling her! The Countess had very cynical thoughts about what the lizard had been doing on a failed world whose people were often taken as slaves. In a different scenario, she'd have gotten violent.

But...if the First Order were to invade hell, "I accept your services. Don't make me regret it," she spoke coldly through gritted teeth. "Harass the First Order troops with hit and run attacks. We'll deal with the Destroyer." Then she cut the connection.

A very heavily encrypted, coded transmission from the very cool @Six-6 received an acknowledgement, with the order to proceed. He'd know what to do. He'd come highly recommended from...certain sources.

"We've got to deal with the SD. Our fleets are moving into position, but until they come it can rain down hell upon us. We must...tear it down. We can drop it on the First Order together. Link with me. Tempest, storm time. HK, give us cover," she declared. Of all the towns and settlements, Santaissa had been hit the hardest when the massive asteroid of doom collided with Kaeshana. Then it had been struck by great floods. So at this point the former capital was pretty much a ghost town, a shell of its former self. This was good because it would keep collateral damage down in an all-out fight.

Once upon a time, Starkiller had pulled down an SD, though it had already been collapsing and he'd probably just redirected it. However, though very powerful, he'd been alone. Siobhan, by contrast was not. Several powerful Masters were assembled here. Centuries ago, Luke Skywalker's Jedi students had joined their powers at the Yavin Temple, in order to shove an Imperial warfleet clear across the star system.

A long time ago, she and a group of Masters, among them powerhouses such as Ashin Varanin, had averted disaster on Atrisia by redirecting Lucrehulks. And now this was not just a battle for any planet, but for her home. Unyielding will and intent filled her as she pulled at the tangled web of power that was the Force, using her body as a conduit as the ethereal energies flowed through her.

Every Master of the Force had to choose between 'hearing a whisper' and 'shouting all the time'. Or reading ripples and throwing stones. Siobhan was firmly in the latter category. In her grasp, the Force became a hammer of power she used to smite her adversaries, and so she became the eye in the storm. The telekinetic titan manifested a gigantic invisible hand, like that of a titan. Strain was evident and, beneath her armour, sweat dripped down her face and back, but she persevered, seeking to wrap her tremendous willpower around the leviathan. Then she began to pull. Very, very, very hard.

Aboard the bridge of her carrier, Tarissa looked a bit suspicious. She tended to be that, especially when humans were concerned, save for a chosen few. However, the man's identifying number seemed to check out after one of her officers made a check.

However, they did not have any data about the ship he was flying. It might be a test craft. Then again, Tarissa was not too familiar with the naval arsenal of the Galactic Alliance. "I see. I am Lady Tarissa Cadalthor. We're on a mission to Kaeshana to drive the First Order aggressors from our home and aid the Galactic Alliance. If you are with the GA, we shall accept your aid." Naturally she presumed he'd be eager to give right now!

"Accompany us to the Asur System. If your craft has no hyperdrive, you can hitch a ride with the Dagger." Of course, there'd be guards in the hangar, just in case. Presumably the flotilla would jump to hyperspace after Kurt had come aboard.

Oh. Well that was a tad awkward. For a moment Kurt let his fingers drift off of his controls, his eyes wandering around the cockpit for a moment. What was he supposed to say? If he said no they'd likely shoot him down. The Coil was good, but he couldn't take on an entire fleet, nor could he outrun them, not without a hyperdrive. That really didn't leave him many options. He frowned slightly, and then clicked his teeth in annoyance, eventually biting down on the inside of his cheek. "Understood."

He said quietly.

"Happy to help." He wasn't really. The ship didn't have any missiles currently and would need to be fitted with some, though he supposed that he could likely convince the engineers aboard to refit him. A sigh escaped him, and slowly he reached up to switch on the ships afterburners. He quickly made a U-turn, flipping the ship and turning it back towards the fleet. Within only a few heartbeats they came into view again, a fighter screen strolling past the edge of the ship and into the hangar.

Kurt followed their path, quickly switching comm channels to get in contact with the crew. They gave him landing coordinates and told him which bay to head towards, something Kurt quickly did. Within a few moments he found himself sitting within the Hangar bay of The Dagger, the hatch on top of the ancient TIE interceptor popping open as tow lines were attached to it's wings. The helmet was pulled off his head and he poked out of the ship.

"Hey there lads." Kurt said as he ran a hand through his hair. "She's gonna need some missiles if I'm fighting, and fuel."

Might as well make the most of this.

Fuel was expensive.

Michael Sardun,

The droid was fiddling with the computerized scope of his heavy Repeater while everyone got their chit together and prepared to move out, it was then when he re-calibrated the device that Michael approached him,

"Another fight, Iron Lord, do you have another tactic up your sleeve to win the day for us?"

HK looked up to the Jedi from his rifle,

"Mikey, there is always a fight going on somewhere in this Galaxy."

He offered his six-fingered hand to Sardun, the Force-nullifying biot pulling back from it to reveal the silvery surface of Phrik the machine was forged out of as he offered out a handshake. Afterwards he would pull it back, the biot covered it once more, HK looked through his scope, scanning the horizon as FO mobilized their TIE craft somewhere off by the city,

"But in general the idea is, Master Jedi, to neutralize them and not die."

HK quipped,

"Although the First Order are a special case, much like the Empire their structure is both their strength and their weakness. Often throughout the Galactic History I have seen them run like nerfs with their heads cut off once their commanding officers are removed, they tend to either stand there stumped waiting for someone else to shout out a command, or all try to grab at the seat of power at once. That is why me and the boys,"

He motioned with his head out to the Greycloaks, his copies in older bodies, one of them currently moving out the dwarf walker from the Eclipse's cargo hold to make more space, the stout war machine lumbering out with slight wobbles like some sort of armored death-penguin,

"Are going to go on a bit of a hunt. My goal is to take out as much of their commanding officers and Force Users as I can to disrupt their command chains and communications by the time the blockade clears and we will be able to land the rest of our ground forces. History also taught me that Stormtroopers often have difficulty dealing with guerilla warfare, so we will be moving in quick hit and run strikes, mostly sniping and assassination. I am still somewhat an assassin droid after all."

HK quipped again

Six-O

The droid's attention was suddenly taken by something as he tilted his head to the side, receiving Six's binary transmission, absorbing the information, sending out a string of ones and zeroes back to Six in an encrypted message, commands for Six on how to proceed to coordinate with their forces as Tempest and Firemane forces moved out towards the Citadel.

"Sio!"
He called out to Kerrigan,

"I have a droid working with some of the guerrilla Eldorai near the Citadel, I will have him disturb their front lines to make our push easier. Is there any way we can connect them to other resistance cells on the planet and coordinate a larger guerrilla movement? These Eldorai planet-side are pretty much our best chance at breaking the First Order down to hold out long enough for our navy to break through the blockade."

Michael Sardun,

The droid looked back to Michael, cocking his repeater to charge it up,

"I calculate that all we need to do is control the major strongpoint locations, the Citadels and the City Ruins, we fortify there and force them out into the forests and hills where we can make an easy work out of them. We need one major assault to put pressure on their front lines along with artillery strikes, recon operations to give us a better idea of their positions and movements, and communication disruptions like me and my contact will be doing. Any idea where you might want to head out, Master Jedi?"

HK paused and calculated, looking out towards the Destroyer looming over the city as the Firemane anti-air emplacements dealt with the TIE craft mobilized against them,

"There is also question of that Star Destroyer, but I calculate Sio will be able to deal with it personally."

The droid quipped again, knowing very well just what Kerrigan can do if one presents such a juicy target just floating in front of her.

Siobhan Kerrigan,

At Kerrigan's command the droid nodded,

"I am on it!"

Motioning to Greycloaks to mobilize with him, only a couple of them joined him for now, however they grabbed the much heavier, and louder, minigun shatterguns rather than repeater rifles like HK did, another one of their brethren stayed with the walker to prepare it for combat insertion should such heavy armament be needed, the last Greycloak stayed with the stealth transport to pilot it.

Looking to Michael, HK gave him a nod,

"We better get moving, or they will leave us behind, Sio did it to me before. May the Force be with you, Master Jedi."

The Iron Lord gave him a soft bow before jogging off to fall in position nearby Siobhan, putting his scope up to his red glowing eye to scan over the nearby area in search of any movement as his two honor guards went to take strategic covered position. For now they would move along with Sio and the main Firemane force until they would be able to sneak past the front lines and begin to wreck havoc among the enemy officers.

Kiyron,

Once the stealth transport, the Knight of the Eclpise, would leave the planet's surface, pushing through the atmosphere to blend in with the void of the stars and once more run the blockade around the planet with its stealth systems, it would head towards Kiyron's position in order to ferry her and any squad she can bring along onto the planet's surface.

Nima Tann,

HK would also give a quick wave to the cutie with the booty while they had still time and no one was shooting at them.

Just when she thought Mandalore couldn't turn into anymore of a dump, she was proved wrong, as the Mandalorian homeworld had essentially been reduced to a ball of slag. She did not know exactly who or what had caused it, but it was at that point, that she was convinced call it quits on her aspirations as Mand'alor. In a word, her people were nuts. Not all, but far too many of the reckless and/or unstable ones had easy access to weapons of mass destruction.

As a small girl, she had heard stories of an ill-fated group known as the New Mandalorians. They had tried paving an alternate path for Mandalorians, trying to funnel the great energies of their people into the sciences and arts. Mandalorians had always had a knack for such things, having some of the most advanced technology around. Sometimes she liked to entertain the thought of where the Mandalorians would be if they had stuck to the path set out for them by the New Mandalorians, instead of regressing back to their old self-destructive ways that continued into the modern era. What she could have been.

While her people figured themselves out, she returned to her usual work as a mercenary. From the First Order, she received a contract from a [member="Darth Veles"] to assist him in various counterinsurgency (COIN) operations being conducted by the First Order, from tackling common thugs to quashing the many proxies of the Galactic Alliance. Personally, she really didn't care who the target was, as long as she was paid. That wouldn't be an issue with the First Order, as she knew them to be most gracious clients from her days assisting them as part of the Death Watch.

For her first job, she was slated to help Veles pacify insurgents on Kaeshana, land of the space elves. The job was simple enough, hunt down insurgents and try not to cause too much collateral damage in the process. (It was the FO who would have to foot the bill in the end for Kaeshana's eventual reconstruction as its benevolent conquerors.)

She was raring to go after a resupply of her fleet on her reentry into First Order space, ready to be a productive member of galactic society once more. Then it was straight to Kaeshana to go put in work for her new Sith customer.

Except, there was a development enroute to Kaeshana. The Galactic Alliance had dropped by on their own little "liberation" mission. Suddenly, a rather mundane COIN operation had just blown up into a tussle between the FO and the GA. Would this serve as the beginning of a hot war between the two powers? She had no clue, but what she did know what that she was about to ask for a hefty raise from Veles when she got there.

Elsa Kurze
Kaeshana Atmosphere, above Santaissa

"Awful lot of chatter on the ground hey" Elsa's comment brings what would pass for a concerned muse out of Lowie and glances out of the Canopy to witness a gigantic Imperial Star Destroyer descend down through the clouds, she runs a quick check of the vessels IFF transponder. "The Wrath?" That will come in handy and hopefully distract those AA emplacements for a moment. Elsa's left-hand reaches over and flicks a switch bringing up a digital map on the heads up display with her Green Eyes darting across it, searching for a suspected AA or artillery position. "Besh Squad this is Crimson One, give me a sitrep over." Elsa's left foot depresses a pedal, she moves HOTAS to the left and gives herself a better look over the Citadel of Dawn and Santaissa itself. Emerald Green eyes struggle to make out details amongst the streams of blaster fire and explosions. "The enemy appear....Reluctant to damage the city." Elsa phases out steadily and watches an old stone structure crumble, what a waste that such beautiful architecture must be destroyed. And then the missile batteries start firing and the conclusion she just made is challenged "Besh Squad this is Crimson One, I'm preparing to start an attack run on their missile batteries." Elsa's hands push the HOTAS towards the avionics suite and the X-wing drops towards the Earth. "I really hope they have missiles for AA, Lowie. Deploy our aft blaster cannon." Elsa's right index finger shifts over the proton torpedo trigger. Elsa preferred to be shot at by guided missiles, they were easy to defeat with some clever cool-headed manoeuvres and the aft blaster cannon. Rotary blaster cannons are the stuff of Nightmares. "If we go down we're going to have to bail very quickly. I don't fancy being taken prisoner."

Location: Santaissa, City Ruins.
Colonel Kamset, White Wolves, 482nd Regiment Commander.

Colonel Kamset, was walking down the lines of stormtroopers that had been dropped down into Santaissa. Hundreds of soldiers had been deployed, some heavy ordnance, others regular troopers, some even scouts, Colonel Kamset saw many of them. While the Citadel of Dawn was being secured before the Omega Pyre, Galactic Alliance, and Firemane forces had even landed, the Sith General had given orders to the 482nd Regiment to enter the city and begin its purge of inhabitants. Some had random encounters with some forces, likely those belonging to @Caustikk Rahn and others. They even took note of the mercenary apparent's forces escaping the city via its sewers and towards the far off shoreline.

From the order of Colonel Kamset, while these, large creatures, rancors, drouks, whatever these creatures were. If they were so prepared to die for their Scorekeeper Goddess, then they would. TIE Fighters certainly weren't going to allow them to escape the city without being harassed. Additionally, this Fighters flew as escorts for the TIE Bombers that mercilessly blanketed them in explosions.

While this occurred, the Wrath Imperial-X Star Destroyer was coming down above the planet, specifically the Ruins of Santaissa City. Certainly, a large portion of the White Wolves was centralized in the Citadel of Dawn which was currently under fire, but with a Star Destroyer specifically sitting above a City? One could only assume that the First Order was planning to intimidate any guerillas from coming out.

Regardless of whether or not the 482nd Regiment was harassed within the city mattered not. The Wrath, before it had even descended past the clouds, dropships had emerged from its hangar bays to deliver additional reinforcements. Some of these were vehicles, most of them were stormtroopers. Soon enough, the City would be secured. The Firemane position in the mountains had made its position known.

Kamset made the necessary transmissions to the likes of Darth Vyrassu, his superior, and to the likes of [member="Project X-2"] and [member="Aesa Urkith"].

Darth Vyrassu landed within the City, a cleared out section of the apparent ghost city had been secured. Vyrassu however, after disembarking from the ship with [member="Kato"] and [member="Byzus Lanko"] said in his mechanical voice, "Fortify the edges of the city to the East." That would mean in the direction of the Citadel of Dawn which was, safe to say, currently under siege.

From there, the Sith Knight ventured off. The members of Kato's squad were excellent soldiers. Sticking as bodyguards to him would serve no purpose if they sought to win on this day. From there, the Sith ventured off, perhaps towards Colonel Kamset with a half dozen stormtroopers in tow. They went through buildings, thus making it more difficult for snipers, should there have been any in the city waiting for a shot at the Imperial High Command.

Citadel of Dawn,
Major Bissell

"Major, Major!" Someone was crying out to him. An explosion shook the ground that the Major stood on. That artillery fire was getting painfully close to their command tent.

"What is it?"

"From the far side of the Citadel," he knew to be the direction of Santaissa, "Three Juggernauts are on their way! Approximately nine hundred troopers and twelve tanks as reinforcements."

The Major nodded slowly.

"The current status of our forces?"

"While most of the artillery fire struck walls and other structures, it gave us time to transport in our own artillery walkers, and anti-air vehicles when the time comes that they wish to fly in more troops."

"Good," and before he good finish the single syllable, he could hear the sound of the First Order's vehicles firing back upon the Firemane positions.

"General Gra- I mean Darth Vyrassu is within the City. I think he's coming to help us here."

Passenger: [member="Kurt Meyer"] and his ship

There was a welcoming committee for Kurt when he boarded the Dagger. The times had made the Eldorai less...misandrist, and so the contingent of guards included men instead of it just being an amazon brigade. There was even a male lieutenant.

Progress in equal rights was a remarkable thing. Anyhow, the Coil would receive fuel and they even had missiles to spare. While this took place, the Eldorai flotilla jumped to hyperspace. A transmission had been sent to [member="Kyrana Gould"], informing her she'd have new forces to command and reinforce her. That was probably not the way Tarissa had phrased it, but her comms officer might have edited her response slightly.

Siobhan Kerrigan had been the woman who had trained Tempest, and someone the Dahomian looked up to a lot. Now it was time for them to take on one of their largest challenges yet.

It was hard to describe how a native of the technologically backward world felt even after all these years looking up at a 1.6km slab of metal in the sky.

Siobhan was trying to pull it down. Tempest’s gifts did not lay there, rather her name gave a clue to her powers.

Kaeshana had always been a difficult planet to access. The severe storms which lurked in the canyons and over the seas were legendary. The impact event though had caused even more problems. The movement of dust and water had made the climate even more unpredictable.

There were storms over the mountains now, but not right on top of them. So Tempest reached out with the Force, harnessing her powers over the weather and lightning to bring them here. The Star Destroyer would rapidly find itself becoming surrounded by clouds full of lightning, wind and rain. Bolts of electricity would arc across the shields.

The Destroyer was too big to be brought down directly by the storm, but it would hamper targeting, even jostle the ship enough to make – when combined with Siobhan’s telekinetic pulls – higher orbit seem like a better place to be!

A war had to be won.

It was unusual for FOSB agents to participate directly in battle but some were capable of doing so and supported massively the efforts of the military. Such was the case with Jude Falkrowe.

Attached to the man he would possibly never forget - Asharad Graush, or better known as Darth Vyrassu - the man who'd held him up and brought him to safety from the Omega that was on its way to crashing on the surface of the planet below. Tired, wounded and barely walking, the Sith had used his troops and himself to cover him and get him aboard the shuttle.

When Darth Vyrassu landed, Jude had already been on the surface. Recon was his previous job, donning the white armor and heading deep into enemy territory was his previous career before being 'recruited' into the FOSB. Jude had experience in battle, he had experience being part of the Corps. Now he had to apply it once again. Dressed only in a stormtrooper chest plate, elbow and knee pads, Jude was quite distinctive than the majority. A standard F-11D rifle was magnetically sealed on the back of his waist, while his charric pistol was holstered on his hip

After Vyrassu's orders and when the party moved on, he simply spoke through the comlink attached to his ear to the man with the helmet donned in all black everything and...damn man, look at dem yeezys.

"Any specific orders, Sir ?"

Objective: Destroy the enemy.
Location: Above Santaissa.

The star destroyer rocked and creaked underneath an invisible force. Engine power had been intensified to counteract the problem, but it was nonetheless still disconcerning for the crew. "What the blasted hell is wrong with this damn ship?!" Guderian barked, "Where's General Graush where we need him?!"

Comms piqued up, "Captain, the General has authorised weapons free bombardment of the sector."

"Aim the turbolasers at their artillery and that estate!" Guderian snapped, "Move our ship there, firing the whole way."

"Understood!" The Wrath's Chief Gunner replied, "Sir, we can't target, this storm-"

"Just point and fire you dolt! We know where they are, so fire!" Guderian snapped, "These morons will pay for defying us!"

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

The first volley hit the Kerrrigan estate like the apocalypse, dozens of turbolaser bolts rained down upon the ruins of the villa. The staboard guns then began to target the secondary target, the artillery emplacements. The withering barrage never seemed to let up, much like the weather. Despite the forces that be, the Wrath's crew managed to accurately bombard their targets without the usual luxury of automated of computer targeting.

Sometimes Sardun forgot how... active HK could be.

Always moving around, always doing things, sometimes dozens at a time. It was the voice, lively and full of emotion that made the Jedi forget that it was a droid he was speaking to. One who could probably do a hundred things at the same time and still have enough processing power to solve planetary hunger.

Probably.

It was bemused in the Jedi's eyes as he followed the conversation without much of his own input. A hand was shaken, some replies were given, but in the end the goal was clear to him.

As much as it was clear to Siobhan, only now as he stood closer, did he recognize the scarred woman from the old, ancient days. How far had they both come since that time. Age did certain things with people, did it not?

"Prex, I'd prefer it if you remained close-by." Sardun calmly stated without taking his eyes from the Star Destroyer looming in the sky. "I do not think Grand Marshal Rhen would be happy with me, if you got vaporised without me present at the least."

Quite dry humor in the moment, but that was Sardun for you.

He stepped up closer to Sio. A storm awoke in the sky, he felt the power flowing from the Kerrigan herself as well.

Never been much good at telekinesis. Shields, punching things... being a battery for others. That he could do.

So the Jedi closed his eyes and ripped open his walls. All of them. One by one his protections left him. He was a broken man, had been since the One Sith captured him and gave him over to the Yuuzhan Vong to be tortured, left him a different man.

They'd feel it, but pride wasn't important in this moment. They all had suffered one way or another.

No, this was about power and right now, Kerrigan would feel his joining with hers.
