      ADVANCED SYSTEMS
      STRENGTHS
      • Heavily Modified: While the basis of design is the mainline Crucifix II, in true Kragamond fashion, the Caragol has been heavily modified to suit the needs of its warlord. Specifically, she has undergone significant enhancements to its offensive capabilities, from adding megamaser batteries, additional quantities of turbolasers including light turbolaser batteries, and a phrik reinforced prow.
      • RAMMING SPEED: While the Caragol excels at ranged combat operations, it remains definitively true to the original Crucifix II’s design in implementing a noteworthy design built around the ability to ram into enemy starships; and even goes as far as to improve upon the design. The Caragol’s prow is shaped into a vicious, jagged edge encased in a heavily reinforced Phrik coating. When coupled with the ship’s SLAM drive, the Caragol is capable of punching through all but the largest and hardiest of warships via sheer velocity and mass, whilst sustaining little damage in return.
      • Predator: With a marked increase in tractor beam emplacements, as well as the addition of shield disruption projectors, the Caragol is extremely well suited to disabling and apprehending ships for boarding actions.
      WEAKNESSES
      • Cumbersome: Although improvements have been made in an attempt to allow for the Caragol to move more freely as opposed to mainline Crucifix II-class Star Destroyers, it still could not be described as particularly agile. When the SLAM drive is engaged, this problem becomes even more apparent.
      • Slightly Exposed Bridge: Although attempts have been made to mitigate the mainline Crucifix II-style bridge array, which exposes the CIC overmuch; efforts to do so have not completely eliminated the problem. Patchwork steel panels have been installed to try and eliminate certain angles of fire that would normally result in a direct hit against the bridge, but the fact remains that if shields fail for any reason, the bridge is still a ripe target for hard hitting bomber squadrons or pin-point ship armaments.
      • Jury-Rigged: Many of the modifications that have been made, have been performed by ‘shipwrights’ within the Kragamond Wartribe. While not incompetant per se, it is also worth keeping in mind that they aren’t necessarily your ‘certified ship mechanic’ either. Power efficiency, optimal positioning of components, and ascetics were not really ‘priorities’ when customizing this ship for their warlord.
        DESCRIPTION
Leave it to the Kragamond Wartribe to take a perfectly good capital ship meant for the Krath, and completely bastardize it. While possessing the flair and intimidating profile of its original design, the Caragol could most accurately be described as though someone took the ship, attached added armor plating and guns to it via rivets, tape, and welds, then slapped a massive armor piercing prow onto the fore-section of the ship. Despite its jury-rigged level of customization and appearance, the Caragol is no less intimidating or effective on the field of battle.

She is often seen in the thick of things, utilizing its shield disruption projectors, tractor beams, and grappling hook launchers to disable smaller vessels and render them unable to escape boarding actions, while also laying waste to larger targets via its respectable level of capital-grade firepower. The most intimidating aspect of the Caragol is the Phrik-encased prow, which is capable of tearing through all but the absolute heaviest of armor plating. Even then, when combined with the specially integrated SLAM drive mounted within the engine compartment, the sheer mass of the vessel usually provides the needed ’umph’ to punch through when the razor-sharp Phrik edge is not quite up to the task.

Like her commander, the Caragol strikes fear in her enemies, and is quite capable of eating them for breakfast.
