The Cantonica Keyboard is a repeating blaster rifle designed by Aurelius Baldor and produced by Shadowhand Skunkworks to arm The Family with a simple but effective blaster. The black rifle can fire for days (metaphorically speaking, of course) without needing to reload or maintain, but two major obstacles prevent full-on mayhem. First and foremost, the Keyboard's high rate of fire gives the blaster a tendency to overheat when fired for extended periods of time, potentially burning or maiming the wielder if they don't give it time to cool off. Secondly, the high rate of fire means users without a strong grip on the blaster's built-in foregrip may find themselves losing control of the weapon as it kicks wildly. The weapon is best used at close range - beyond that, it drops off in accuracy.
On the other hand, the Keyboard is capable of outputting a large volume of blaster bolts in a short period of time, and the large, disk-shaped plasma gas cartridges ensure the user can go on, and on, and on, without needing to reload for quite some time. The maintenance of a Cantonica Keyboard is very easy and simplistic, ensuring that even the densest of the Family's thugs is capable of keeping their weapon functioning. All-in-all, the Cantonica Keyboard is sure to be a hit with the Family.
