CAD Special Economic Zone

The Corporate Authorities has always operated more like a special economic zone than a unified nation. Upon their entrance into the Galactic Alliance, most of the terms of this zone were admitted along with the membership status of each individual world. Within the SEZ, goods can move more freely and with fewer customs checks, and an additional customs duty is attached to many goods which come from outside the zone. This duty is negotiated annually with the Galactic Alliance, and often increases the duty on trades external to both the balance the difference.

Within the Special Economic Zone, additional laws and a unified law enforcement body are utilized on each planet. These are set down by the Direx Board, who may name additional Proxy Governors for the worlds as well as specific policies for them. Law enforcement and customs/border patrol duties are entrusted to CorpSec within the zone, freeing Alliance military and law enforcement personnel to focus on more important regions.

OOCly, this also serves as a general guide to worlds within CAD and some of their story hooks for future use. Some worlds may be blurred when they do not ICly belong to CAD. For additional worlds not on the Chaos map, see this thread.
