- Data and Information Security
- Diagnostic System - Diagnostic system runs automatic maintenance checks on the weapon and is able to identify parts, systems, and components in need of repair or replacement.
- Electronics and Communications Suite - Integrated suite that links to virtually any system, allowing the user to obtain hard data from the claw’s systems, such as power levels, stability, diagnostic information, Etc.
- Mono-Molecular Edges and Tips - The mono-molecular edges and tips are extremely sharp. In addition, the Svolten Rhyolite treatment allows the edges and tips to retain their integrity and cutting power even after undergoing hard impacts with the blade of a lightsaber or with especially dense materials.
- Resilient Construction - Owing to their resilient construction, each talon is extremely resistant to lightsabers, vibroblades, and energy weapons.
- Direct Interface Compatibility - The claw requires and includes a direct interface to its user in order to function, so it does not unsheathe under inappropriate circumstances. This interface may be a neural link, a droid brain link, or a technopathic link.
- Ultrasonic Vibration Generator - A high-grade vibration generator, the ultrasonic vibration generator causes the claw to vibrate with extreme speed and force, giving it the ability to tear through flesh, reinforced organic carapace, stone, armor plating, metal, and many other heavy, dense materials. In addition, the claw has the potential to inflict devastating, eviscerating wounds and possibly even dismember, with only a touch.
- Mark II Energy Cell - The Mark II energy cell sheaths each talon of the claw in a field of energy that significantly enhances its cutting power via sheer thermal energy output, to the point that it has the potential to melt and cut through heavy materials such as turadium and impervium.
- Molecular Disruptor Mirror Sheath Array - Each talon is compressed and shrunken when sheathed via molecular disruptor mirror cells. As such, they take up very little space when implanted within the user’s digits.
- Rip and Tear - The BWE Fighting Claw can cut through many materials, including concrete, reinforced organic carapace, turadium, and other heavy, dense materials.
- Triple Strike - One of the most significant advantages of the BWE Fighting Calw is that a single successful strike can inflict multiple potentially devastating wounds. This can feasibly result in polytrauma, with the potential to inflict severe attrition owing to rapid blood loss and exhaustion.
- Lightsaber Resistance - The claw is highly resistant to lightsabers, being capable of retaining their integrity against such weaponry over long duels, due to their resilient construction.
- Technological Corruption - As with any piece of technology, if left unprotected, the BWE Fighting Claw will be vulnerable to the predations of Mechu-deru and other means of techno-sorcery.
- Duel - While the BWE Fighting Claw has a long reach for a fighting claw, it does not have the reach of a typical vibroblade, vibrostaff, polearm weapon, or lightsaber. As such, the claw is suboptimal in a duel, particularly when facing an opponent who wields a longer weapon.
- Shields - Most deflector-style shields that overlay ray and particle shields are capable of blocking the claw in its entirety.
- Overload - Depending on the vicinity and power quotient, EMP and Ionite discharges could overload the claw’s electronic components, with the potential to decrease its cutting power by disabling its energy cell and/or ultrasonic vibration generator.
- Dexterity - When unsheathed, the claw significantly impedes finger dexterity. Not to mention, it goes without saying that users can not carry anything in a hand that has claws unsheathed.
Partially inspired by Yuuzhan Vong fighting claws, the BWE Fighting Claw is a synthetic vibroweapon which is typically installed in the digits of its user. Intended to augment the efficacy and potential lethality of its user’s hand-to-hand attacks, the Fighting Claw is a weapon that is capable of ripping and tearing through flesh, reinforced organic carapace, and other heavy materials. In this regard, the Fighting Claw is an extremely dangerous weapon to both armored and unarmored targets alike.
Complementing its potential lethality, the Fighting Claw is highly modular and can be installed in any number of talon lengths and configurations. They can also be painted.
All in all, the BWE Fighting Claw is a brutal, yet elegant weapon—a lethal surprise intended for situations where a delicate and unrelenting touch is needed.
