OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Organization Name: Burakkugādo
  • Classification: Police Force
  • Affiliation: Atrisian Commonwealth
  • Organization Symbol: Tri-Yang
  • Description: The Burakkugādo are Atrisia's final internal defense, a scalpel wielded against wounds too deep for the conventional military. Born from the repeated failures of planetary shields and fleets, they operate on a simple, grim principle: while the Navy guards the sky, the Guard cleanses the soil. They are specialists in combating the aftermath of interstellar conflict: neutralizing Sithspawn, sealing Netherworld rifts, purging Dark Side echoes, and containing bio-hazardous threats left behind by invaders. Their most critical asset is their Mental Fortitude a rare resilience that allows them to operate in Dark Side domains and other mentally corrosive environments that would shatter or corrupt lesser individuals.
GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy: While philosophically egalitarian in the face of danger, a practical structure has emerged from the crucible of war:
    • The Chamberlain's Voice: The civilian oversight and conduit for mandates from the Emperor's court.
    • Kenshi (Sword-Master): Veteran Guards with over a decade of service who lead Cells and make tactical decisions in the field. They are mentors and operational commanders. The "First Generation" now predominantly holds this rank.
    • Junshi (Guardian): The rank-and-file, fully-fledged members of the Burakkugādo.
    • Shinsei (New Life): Recruits undergoing the grueling final phase of training.
  • Membership: Membership is a life sentence, chosen by the Guard itself. Candidates are identified through rigorous psychological and physical screening of the military's most zealous and stable soldiers. The process is a brutal weeding-out, focusing on three pillars: Unshakeable Loyalty (to Atrisia), Mental Fortitude, and Practical Ingenuity. Force-Sensitives are valued but not privileged; what matters is the strength of one's will, not one's midi-chlorian count.
  • Climate: The culture is one of somber professionalism punctuated by gallows humor. They are intimate with death and corruption, leading to a deeply ingrained practice of mutual watchfulness. Outside of missions, they are often silent and contemplative. Their demeanor is highly controlled, a necessary shield against the horrors they face daily.
  • Reputation:
    • To the Commonwealth Government: A necessary, if unsettling, instrument. They are respected but kept at a arm's length.
    • To the Military: A mix of awe and pity. The regular soldiers are grateful for their work but would never trade places. They are seen as doomed heroes.
    • To the Civilian Population: A myth. Most only know them by ominous rumors. They are both boogeymen and guardian angels.
  • Curios: The newest armors they have function as normal clothing and tactical armor. With their weapons being the technologically advanced and allowing them to move around. New implants to make them an impressive force.
  • Rules: The "Black Creed."
    1. The Wall is Everywhere: Your duty does not end at your post. You are the living wall against the darkness.
    2. The Partner is the Self: Your cellmate's life is your own. Their fall is your failure.
    3. No Threat is Forgotten: What is contained today may break free tomorrow. Vigilance is eternal.
    4. Carry the Ash, Not the Shadow: You will be stained by your work. Accept the ash, but do not let the shadow of the Dark Side into your heart.
    5. Your Death is a Tool: Death is inevitable; meaninglessness is not. The only true failure is a death that seals nothing. Ensure your final breath is a command, a fuse, or a bulwark.
  • Goals:
    • Short-Term: Contain the residual threats from the 12th Battle of Atrisia. Locate and neutralize any dormant Sithspawn or unstable Dark Side foci.
    • Long-Term: Develop predictive models for identifying potential Dark Side convergences on Atrisia. Formalize their training doctrines beyond the "on-the-fly" methods of the First Generation.
    • Ultimate: To render themselves obsolete a goal every member knows is likely impossible.
MEMBERS
  • The First Generation (The "Ash-Born"): The original survivors who formed the core of the Guard. They are living legends, scarred mentally and physically. They don't lead from the rear; they are the tip of the spear. Their experimental methods are now the foundational doctrines of the order.
  • Kenshi Inori: A quintessential First Generation veteran. Pragmatic to a fault, they have a preternatural sense for Dark Side corruption and are responsible for training most of the current Kenshi.
  • Junshi Aphra: A newer member. They were a gifted soldier whose unique resilience caught the Guard's attention. They represent the "new blood," trying to adapt the Guard's harsh traditions to an ever-evolving threat.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Burakkugādo were not founded; they were forged. The early attacks on Atrisia revealed a critical vulnerability. Fleets could be defeated and armies repelled, but the scars they left behind lingering Dark Side energy, gates to the Netherworld, Sithspawn, and soul-shattering mental attack residue festered like a cancer. The conventional military was useless against a miasma that drove soldiers insane or a ghost that could possess a general.

In the chaotic aftermath of one such attack, a chamberlain of the Emperor gathered a handful of soldiers who had not only survived but had managed to fight back against the intangible threat. These men and women, marked by a unique mental fortitude and often a degree of Force-sensitivity, became the first cell. They were given a mandate: "Go into the darkness where no one else can, and do whatever must be done."

For years, they have been Atrisia's silent guardians. The 12th Battle of Atrisia was their chance to prove their training was worrth it. While the fleet engaged in the void above, the Burakkugādo were deployed planet-side to contain the "groundfall" of the enemy's attack at Jar'kai. They battled Dark Side apparitions, stabilized the smart towers solari network thanks to the aid of Omega Squad Omega Squad and purged infestations from the Jar'kai following the caarnage of a jedi padawan Jane Jane in one of their tanks. Their exceptional performance there earned them the official recognition and resources to expand beyond their single fortress, cementing their place as a permanent, if shadowy, pillar of the Atrisian Commonwealth's defense.
