- Flying Monkeys: The Bruja possesses an enormous fighter complement, being essentially a giant flying hangar. Additionally, it carries a wealth of massive C-9979 Landers, allowing but one of these ships to take and hold a large city.
- Storm Clouds: The Bruja possesses a sizeable weapons array covering nearly every direction in 3d space, and is very able to support launching craft with its row upon row of point-defense weapons, rendering the space around it nearly uninhabitable for enemy fighters.
- Space Snail: The Bruja is a (slightly) mobile space bunker, and its speed and turn rates can best be described as "glacial".
- Poor Duellist: While it maintains an adequate turbolaser and mass-driver armament for its size, its incredibly poor speed and focus on point-defense over slugging it out with other vessels means the Bruja needs protection from other ships if it is to perform its roles.
The Bruja-Class Carrier came about as a result of the Vourdalak's ability to maintain a ground assault. While the battleship could do it well, Helix believed a dedicated vessel could do it even better.
Nothing so much as a giant semi-mobile blob of flak batteries and armor, the Bruja is somewhat of a rare sight in Helix forces due to its high cost of both creation and operation. When it is deemed necessary for use, the sight of a Bruja and its escort over a planet heralds nothing good.
The vessel itself is extremely sluggish, but armed with a respectable point-defense array, including a number of seismic charge launchers that are as often used to clear away asteroids as they are to decimate even the largest fighter groups.
Attacking the Brujah with fighters is tantamount to a suicide mission, as aside from a point-defense array to make the finest pilot's eyes water, it possesses a massive fighter complement of its own, and will ably deploy them if its crew deems it so.
The Brujah also possesses a sizeable suite of C-9979 landers, more than enough to take over a good-sized city, and this very sort of land takeover is most commonly what the Brujah's arrival heralds.
"Arrival" is perhaps a strong word for what the carrier does, as its speed and turn radius are both dismal. While it does possess a turbolaser and mass driver armament, it is a relatively poor ship-to-ship combatant, able to fend off frigates or small cruisers, but hardly other large cruisers like itself, relying on its escort to perform this task.
