- Bulwark
With her advanced shield array, and duranium-alloy armor plating with a reinforced impervium matrix-armor lattice subdermal layer; the Brok’ur is capable of taking tremendous punishment, even in the face of vessels well above her tonnage. - Heavy Assault
Brok’ur in Mando’a means ‘Hammer’, which perfectly describes the role this cruiser variant fills. Her aforementioned defensive systems afford her exceptional staying power, and when paired with her robust array of weapon systems, she is quite capable of anchoring a battleline or pressing an assault on her own. - Workhorse
With all factors considered; from her considerable defenses and armaments, to her considerable hangar size - the Brok’ur is regarded by many within the Mythos Fleet to be the beskar-forged backbone that can anchor any expeditionary fleet, or even stand alone on the fringes of Covenant space. When deployed alone, she is capable of fielding enough marines and starfighters to exert considerable force projection in the absence of a true star destroyer.
- Slow
Most assault cruisers possess greater speed and maneuverability. While her heavy armor gives her a distinct Mandalorian character, her size and bulk place her near the tonnage range of a small star destroyer rather than a cruiser; which means the Brok’ur can easily be outpaced by most other vessels within her class. - Firing Arcs
Although the Brok’ur possesses a massive arsenal, much of her weaponry is arrayed on the side glacis of her armor paneling - whether it be broadside or angle mounted. She is therefore incapable of bringing all of her weapons to bear on one target. - Advanced Subsystems
While the Brok’ur is distinctly a Mandalorian vessel in both concept and function, she is considerably advanced even by Imperial or Republic standards. These advanced systems provide many advantages to her, but also present real logistical and maintenance concerns. It is therefore a requirement for each Brok’ur-class cruiser to have sufficient specialists present within her crew, otherwise she will quickly fall into disrepair and experience reduced operational effectiveness.
In the storied histories of the Mandalorian people, there stand legendary warriors who shall be remembered for years to come. Alongside such heroes are several ships that also stand titan above others; such as the legendary Ha’rangir-class star destroyers, and the infamous Basilisk War Droids. Although she is a far newer class of ship, the Brok’ur-class Heavy Assault Cruiser has the potential to join these others in the gilded halls of legend.
While she is considered a cruiser by the Anaxes War College System, she stands titan above other vessels of her class; boasting armor and weaponry near the like of a Star Destroyer. With all manner of weapons technology present in her design, from megamaser batteries, turbolasers, and megacaliber cannons; the Brok’ur can press an assault almost single-handedly against numerically superior foes, all while weathering the storm against her reinforced armor and advanced shield systems.
Unique amongst other ships of Mandalorian craft are a series of advanced ECM and countermeasure systems, all capable of keeping her in the fight against advanced Imperial and Republic counterparts. In this new age of the Galaxy, the Brok’ur has been wrought as the beskar-forged backbone of The Iron Covenant’s Mythos Fleet, standing as the image of Mandalorian resolve during an age of widespread chaos and instability.
