Symara's body stabilized within Elaris' arms but she was still unconscious when the redhead, by some miracle, managed to get them into the ladder access. As the world around them began to collapse. The stairwell was already well on its way to breaking apart and with it, the floor, the very same weakened floor could no longer stand without one of its anchors and it too began to crumble. Shaking, as piece by piece it came down knocking into the floor below it, and the structural integrity of what had once been Corellian Security's proud headquarters was now powerless to prevent its own destruction.

There was a gasp for breath, as Symara jerked awake she looked over to the door, and it stood open between them and the chaos happening in front of them. A thick cut of debris slammed the door shut, ripping through it, coming inches from her face. She had trouble ordering her body to move but she did what she could to try and shield part of Elaris' body from the mass amount of dust and debris that was now clawing its way into the ladder access room. This room had been built with reinforced durasteel, built with the idea that if something should happen to the building this would be one of the safest places as it would either stand up longer or at the very least you'll have a pocket of air that... Perhaps, might last you until you're recovered, perhaps.

They would have to ride this out, as dust trickled in from above them, neither one was in shape to climb down that ladder to the lower floor. She looked to her rescuer, and thought a moment. Niloren hadn't gotten her away from the afterlife just so she could sit here and be useless, even with her injuries. Symara had to protect this girl, she was someone's daughter, someone's sister, she looked very, very young. Rolling out from Elaris' arms she fell with an unsavory thud, "blasted Sith..." She cursed and put her hands out to the duracrete floor.

Pushing herself up, Symara got to her knees and pulled Elaris into her body and got them into a corner as the building continued to shake, as floor by floor began to go. "Just breathe, just breathe, and relax, hang on tight." She instructed just as their part of the ladder access was starting to crumble. "You got family?" Symara asked as she pulled herself in tighter against Elaris to try and dodge debris that was doing more than trying to just punch through the door. "Who are they? What's their name?"

By some miracle, they'd survived. Elpsis whispered a prayer to whichever deity might be listening at the moment. The Force, the Great Goddess Ashira, the Corellian Gods or the Great White Wolf, it didn't matter to her. She was just grateful that they were alive.

Unfortunately, they were kind of trapped and a mass amount of dust and debris was clawing its way down into the ladder access room. On paper, they were probably at the safest place in such a situation. Perhaps the gods would be with them and they could make it out after riding out the storm. Elpsis was drained and in no position to use her space magic to improve their situation.

She coughed slightly, gasping for breath. Both of them ended up in a corner when Symara took control and pulled Elpsis into it. The redhead held on tightly to the older black woman as if her life depended on it, both doing their utmost to dodge debris that was trying to ram the door and break it down.

Just breathe, just breathe, and relax, hang on tight. She repeated these words in her mind like a mantra, trying to make herself believe them. "Yeah, yeah, I do. I...got a mother. Her name's [member="Coryth Elaris"]. And a girlfriend. She's called Tempest." Talking about family helped distract her from the situation. "We work for Firemane. You're gonna tell me your name now?"

Kneeling next to the most recent corpse Yorin wiped his hands off on the Sith robes further disrespecting the body. They didn’t deserve his empathy or kindness, the polydroxol had even dropped his Imperial officer disguise taking on his original form. The blood actually mixed well with the silvery-blue complexion of Yorin making the polydroxol look all the more intimidating. The com chatter coming from the console had gotten more rampant with reports. That was his que to leave, walking over Yorin yanked out the datapad hoping that whatever data it had snatched would be useful to either him or the Corellian League in the future.

Reaching into the satchel on his hip Yorin pulled out one of the charges he’d been supplied with. Placing the package on the base of the control panel and priming it Yorin quickly checked over the console one last time before sifting through it and setting all the data to destroy itself. He didn’t want any evidence to be left behind of the worm that had been uploaded into the Sith systems, nor for them to trace it back to the ones who had created it. With his work done Yorin heard Julius’ message. He could’ve answered and said he’d meet them at the extraction point but he would see them all soon enough anyways.

Jogging through the complex Yorin placed three more charges on his way to the entrance where the group was preparing to leave and the Corellian prisoners had now gathered. “Charges set and primed for detonation.” Yorin said his voice plain giving away no hints of emotion. Making his way past those gathered he gave respectful nods before exiting the building.

CorSec Headquarters, Coronet

Pike whirled around towards the point of origin of the one spoiling her short moment of fun times. A scowl played on her lips, brows furrowing in deep, deep annoyance, but she didn’t say anything about… now. They would probably have words about this encounter later on, probably more than words, but if there was one thing Alavar kept going, it was her professionalism. She wasn’t gonna jeopardize a payday, just to skin her partner alive.

Even if it felt very very very desirable right about now.

Above them there was a big explosion- no, not an explosion. That suggested explosives, it was more a boom. A thunk.

Like something oversized was being thrown around. Cracks started appearing in the foundations, the duracrete straining and that made Pike antsy. And when Pike got antsy, she got murderous.

“<< I really karking hope that ain’t our side, ‘cus I don’t think we will get our payment if I pull out ‘eir entrails and choke ‘em with it. >>”

She barked across their private comm, while following Kalad. They ran, moving as fast as near-humanly possible, while slipping past the cracks of incoming security. The Mandalorian was killing them in spades now, and she was content to simply watch his back - no opportunity for killing, right now. At least not without breaking stride and losing her momentum.

Then, finally, they skidded to the wall next to the lift doors. Closed shut and it would take too much time to hack them.

Shysa read her mind.

The remainder of the sticky explosives were pulled out and placed squarely on the middle of the lift doors. Behind them more security were incoming, blasts were fired and she had to duck, as to not get hit - her or the freaking explosives she was handling.

“<< Shysa, karking handle it. I can’t dance around their bolts and breach this ‘mother at the same time. >>”

“<Shysa, handle it.>” The Mandalorian mimicked back childishly as he unleashed hell on the bullpen, the clipped tones of his vhettiya accent doing little to aid in the accuracy of the impression. The beskad flashed out once more, scoring only empty air this time, yet it was enough to force some of the more enthusiastic members of the pack to think twice about closing the distance. His pistol helped underscore the message for those slow on the uptake, trimming the ranks and forcing the rest to dive for cover. “<What do you think I'm doing, dala? Knitting?>”

Yet it was a stalling tactic, nothing more.

Without Pike’s blaster thinning the herd, there were simply too many pouring into the bullpen for Kalad to contend with alone. It seemed like everyone and their mother was making an attempt now. Only a matter of time before they actually go their act together and hit them in force.

“<Fierfek!>” A faint hiss escaped him as a bolt skimmed his side, the armoured plates of his beskar’gam absorbing the worst of the damage yet the impact was still enough to drive him back a pace.
“<Place is a karking shooting gallery. Don't need it pretty, Al'ika, but I need it fast. Blow the karking thing already.>”

The increasing detonations and structural groans from above weren’t helping matters, either. If those turbolift doors weren’t open soon, it would be a toss-up what would kill them first. The One Sith or the gorram building.

Like music to Kalad’s ears, a muffled thump of a controlled explosion resounded behind him as if on cue, the turbolift doors offering little resistance to the onslaught of a good breaching charge. He trusted Pike’s skill in making things go boom implicitly, not even needing to look backwards to know that there was now a neat little hole waiting for their escape. Already he could hear the sounds of a fast rope being secure into place, his partner descending a few seconds later.

He knew his own wasn’t going to be nearly as pretty.

Emptying one last flurry of bolts into the bullpen, scorching just as much furniture as flesh, he spun and dived for the opening. Perhaps if he’d taken a little more time he would have noticed that the rope wasn’t quite where he was expecting. Only a stroke of fortune kept him from missing it entirely, slowing his descent as he half fell, half abseiled down the shaft. There might have been a yell, but it was hard to tell as the floors above collapsing in his wake drowned almost everything out in a deafening cacophony of broken durasteel and rubble.

It seemed as if it was all slowing down, she was sure she said something about her name earlier but you know - when you've got people actively trying to kill you. It can be hard to hear that over blaster fires, "names Symara Tarriq, use to be CorSec before it went boom, said your moms' name is Coryth? Good, what's she do? Where she live? Girlfriend's Tempest, huh? What she do, keep talkin' to me Elaris." Symara told her calmly as she looked behind her. Dust still billowed, and then there was a rumble - a rumble below them and the building groaned.

The Corellian looked up, "c'mon, c'mon." She whispered, praying to the Ancients that this old building would hold together. It had been through so much, survived the breaking and the reunification of Corellia. Grenades and explosions, it could probably withstand but the shifting of the planet? Maybe not, it strained, and she held out her hand toward the young redhead, "c'mon, we gotta get out of here, these Sith can rot, stairs should be good two floors below, we can try to see if the lift will work to get us to the ground after that."

Meaning, they'd have to find some way of shimming down the ladders for two stories before getting out to see if the stairs were accessible at that point, and then walk to find the lift, assuming the building could hold on for that much longer. Wincing she slowly got to her feet and looked up as dust trickled. Extending a hand out toward the girl she offered to help her up. The ladder was just behind her and as she looked down she saw that it was clear, "looks clean, you first." She gestures as she leans her back up against the wall, looking as parts of the stairs had pushed into the door and stopped just short of the ladder's access.

What was the objective? Get out and leave this dam rock. The rebels were getting the hell out of dodge and the Cor-Sec building was coming apart. Perhaps its collapse was symptomatic of the general decomposition of the One Sith Empire. Doubtless the Sith would be back one day, after taking a detour by returning to the shadows, but that wasn't the girl's problem now. She prayed to whichever gods might be listening that the sturdy building did not drop on their heads. After all, she'd spent far too much time saving the bossy black lady!

"She's a healer. A wicked good one. Used to be a Jedi, but ditched them for being a bunch of arseholes." Hell would freeze over before Elpsis ever said anything good about the 'guardians of peace and justice'.

"We live on Tygara. Tempest's a soldier with Firemane. It's a paramilitary corp. She's a Forcer, too, but no Jedi or Sith. She's...a bit like you." Black, bossy, badass and older than Elpsis? Well, yeah, kind of. In this day and age, it was increasingly popular among emancipated Force-users to make their own path outside of the Jedi-Sith two-party system. She looked a bit uneasy when Symara told her to go first, then got her act goether and made her way down the ladder.
