HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Born into the noble family of Stiyk, who for generations gave New Apsolon's public wealth & prosperity. She was found out to be force sensitive but her parents decided against training their only daughter as a Jedi, as they wanted her to use her abilities for the betterment of the planet. Teela Stiyk was as wise and noble as most of her ancestors from a very early age, which earned her the family symbol - an AKraB Vibrodagger - at a very young age of 14, the youngest in her entire lineage to earn the vibroblade. At the age of 18, she applied for Silver Fields & got selected at her first attempt where most fail. She was the youngest in her class & graduated as top of her class; a feat unseen in the academy's history. She quickly rose to the rank of major & kept declining her promotion for years due to her affinity towards field duty.
She met Jedi General Salazar Niminen at a military conference, where he noticed her aptitude & offered her a chance to be part of his newly formed unit, 19th "Viper" Legion. She gladly accepted it seeing it's proposed training programme. After much request from Salazar, she accepted the rank of Brigadier & she was instrumental in educating the brash new recruits and turning them into tunnel-visioned scholars. To maintain her rich family heritage, she even started holding shared of Salazar's company Canyon Defence Ltd., becoming it's 2nd largest shareholder right after the Jedi General.
As she ages, her judgement sometimes fail & Salazar sometimes steps up to support her as if she was his own mother. Their friendship has lead to both of them earning each other's trust & faith, on and off the field. Due to her loosely sharing the views of her parents, she has denied Salazar's request to train her in the ways of the force, as she wants to use her meager connection to the force by being a military officer, rather than being a Jedi.
