  • Network Security Boffin: True to their Mando'a namesake, NS/SD-01 droids are experts at both defending against network infiltration and infiltrating other networks. The droids come with a vast variety of cyberwarfare techniques and toolkits, both hardware and software, allowing them to be ready for virtually every situation they come across.
STRENGTHS​
  • Combat Trained: Every 'Gar Nayaor Verd' droid is combat trained by Strill Securities' expert combat instructors in addition to possessing extensive combat programming and adaptive combat protocols. making for a near perfect combination of natural ability, skill and training.
  • Tough Nut: The droid's heavy plating combined with it's shield generator allow it to accompany organics into the most pitched firefights and survive damage far better than many organic specialists of it's own skill level. This additionally helps when the droid is searching for slicers when operating as a network security specialist.
  • Fly like a Jai'galaar, Bite like a Strill: Thanks to the Gar Agol CNT muscle fibre system, the 'Gar Nayaor Verd' droid is agile and dexterous as well as as extremely strong. The droid can move with startling grace and speed for something its size.
  • Advanced Sensor, Scanner, Targeting and Communications: The 'Gar Nayaor Verd' droids are equipped with extensive, advanced, powerful sensor, scanner, targeting and communications suite. This allows the droid to stay aware of its environment, locate and track threats, engage them efficiently and keep in communication with it allies.

  • Hunt Them Down: NS/SD-01 Droids possess the processing capability to both defend against network intrusion while tracking down and even engaging the offending slicer if they're in the immediate area for the droid to be able to do so.
WEAKNESSES​
  • Shield or Field Disruptor: Either the droid's shield or field disruptor can be active, not both. When gaining access to locations protected by shields, the droid becomes that much more vulnerable to damage.
  • EMP/Ion: Should any EMP/Ion damage manage to bypass the droid's considerable defenses, it is likely to cause significant and lasting damage to more than a few systems and subsystems.
  • The Force: While there's provision to mount a Ysalamiri Birikad onto the droid, the droid has no inherent defenses against the force.
  • Disruptors: The droid's armor provide little protection against disruptor weapons.
  • Devastating Overload: Should the reactor overload and meltdown, the resulting explosion would be nothing short of devastating, completely and utterly annihilating the droid and potentially what's around it.
  • I Don't Work For Idiots: These droids are sentient and instilled with Mandalorian values. They won't take orders from those they see as prone to making costly mistakes, or a tendency to micromanage unnecessarily. They're only loyal to those that display any kind of leadership capabilities.
  • Powerful Sensor Jamming: Powerful sensor jamming will limit the droid's abilities to make use of it's extensive sensor/scanner array. This will lower the droid's situational awareness to a noticeable degree, though the Manda tactical battlenet can help take the edge off this to an extent.
DESCRIPTION​

Skilled slicers are rare. Mandalorian slicers, rarer still. While absolutely paying inordinate sums to those Mandalorians and outsiders that'd work for them, Strill Securities still had a shortage of skilled combat capable slicers. Strill Securities and Breshig War Forge Consolidated went to work on a droid that could fill the gap, especially after the former was more than happy with the latter's work on the Gar Verd and Gar Caayatr Baar'ur droids. It became obvious, however, that the droid would never need the combat prowess of the Gar Verd, but certainly needed the processing capabilities and creative thinking the gar mirshe droid brain provided. As such, the company created a new memory module specifically for the new droid, and elected to use the same chassis of their combat medic droid which clearly proved to be more than suited to performing a specialist role even on the most dangerous battlefields. ​

Like the company's other droids that make use of the Gar Mirshe droid brain, every 'Gar Nayaor Verd' droid is combat trained by Strill Securities' expert combat instructors in addition to possessing extensive combat programming and adaptive combat protocols. making for a near perfect combination of natural ability, skill and training. Thanks to the Gar Agol CNT muscle fibre system, the 'Gar Nayaor Verd' droid is agile and dexterous as well as as extremely strong. The droid can move with startling grace and speed for something its size. More than capable of putting its considerable combat training and programming to good use. The droid's heavy plating combined with a powerful shield generator allow it to put it's considerable combat capabilities into giving just as hard as it gets, which when combined with it's considerable specialist skills in network security allow it to be a true asset that can more than pull its weight. ​

Because of these droid's sentience and intelligence, the company doesn't sell the droids themselves, rather they put out year long contracts, after which it is the droid's choice whether they renew the contract. This does cause some problems, however. Due to their high intellect and sentience, Gar Nayaor Verd droids won't take orders from those they see as prone to making costly mistakes, or a tendency to micromanage unnecessarily. They're only loyal to those that display any kind of leadership capabilities. Those buying combat droids of this caliber, however, usually won't have a problem in this regard. ​

That said, droids are still droids, and despite the measures taken to protect the Gar Nayaor Verd against EMP/Ion damage, a powerful enough weapon will still fry this droid like a protato in a deep-fat fryer. Likewise, the composite plate and it's underlying linings and frame, like many substances in the galaxy, are weak to disruptor weapons. Additionally, while the droid has provision to mount a Ysalamiri Birikad, it is otherwise largely defenseless against many of the more manipulative abilities of the force. Though it's sentience does grant it some measure of resilience against those that'd attempt to manipulate it. ​

Breshig War Forge Consolidated is very proud of it's droids, however, and is convinced that they will make an impact on the market. ​
