STRENGTHS
- Fast Data Processing: A secondary droid brain speeds up data processing by doing the bulk of the data processing for the droid, leaving the bits important for analysis unprocessed. This speeds up reaction times and results in better decision making in droids.
- Every Droid A Specialist: Droids equipped with this component suite certainly don't lack for any specialist tool with which to perform their tasking.
- Manda: The Manda module provides the droid with the system's best analysis of enemy tactics, which takes into account enemy positioning, aggression, capabilities, known tactics, fighting styles and current status. The system also creates an accurate and adaptive firing matrix, making real-time adjustments for movement, battlefield debris, atmospheric conditions and other factors. The system can allow accurate tracking and target identification through thick cloud cover, storms and heavy rain, fog, as well as other conditions that might otherwise impair targeting to a severe degree.
- Resilient: The housing for the various systems is extremely resilient to the rigors of combat operations, and is additionally resilient against the various sources of damage that could be encountered on the battlefield.
- Superior Movement: Through the use of the Gar Agol CNT muscle fiber system, the droid's movements are much smoother and more organic. Additionally, droids utilizing this system are capable of great feats of strength and agility that droids with more conventional actuator based systems may not be able to replicate.
WEAKNESSES
- Humanoid Droids Only: This system can only be used with humanoid droids, due to the incompatibility of it's easily integratable design with other forms of chassis.
- Complicated, Specialist Equipment: There is a lot of complicated, specialist equipment included as part of the suite, as such a specialist is likely required to be able to repair any major system damage sustained by a droid using this suite. Such specialists are unlikely to be found at your friendly local cantina.
- EMP/Ion: As well protected against EMP/Ion weapons that the suite is, any EMP/Ion weapons that manage to overwhelm the system's defensive measures will cause considerable and likely irreparable damage.
- The Force: There is no inherent defences against the predation of the force and its many methods of causing hell with droids and technology in general.
- Specialist Tools, Intelligent Droid: With this many systems, an equally intelligent droid would be required to make full use of the myriad advanced features involved.
DESCRIPTION
The Beskar'ad Baar was designed as yet another drop in the vast ocean of streamlining methodologies the company has adopted, though once production had ramped up to acceptable levels and the company's own requirements were satisfied they began selling the suite to anyone interested. The suite was based off their Kar'tayl suite made for use in armors, but with the inclusion of more specialist equipment modules so as to speed up the production of specialist droids. Like the Kar'tayl, the suite features both the Manda Tactical Battlenet module as well as a secondary droid brain to handle data processing. This noty only speeds up reaction times in droids, but also results in better decision making. The inclusion of the Manda module results in vastly improved combat performance in individual droids as well as vastly increased cooperation and coordination between droids.
The benefit isn't limited to data processing or specialist equipment. Droids with the modular component suite have the advantage of Gar Agol CNT synthetic muscle fiber based musculature. This makes the droid's movements far smoother and more organic, allowing them to operate weapons and equipment designed for organics with far greater ease, as well as makes operating alongside organics in tight spaces or urban environments a far less clumsy affair. Additionally, droids using the Gar Agol are capable of great feats of strength and agility that droids with more conventional actuator based systems may not be able to replicate. Droids are given additional subroutines to better take advantage of this newfound agility. To ensure that droids remain on their feet at all times, the auto-balance functions and stabilization subroutines ensure that barring extreme cases, droids do not lose their balance nor their footing.
Crushgraunts with Magna-glove and power glove technology give droids made using this suite several additional capabilities. For example, medical droids can more easily remove patients' armor or more easily get to patients' trapped behind debris or in other obstructed locations. For crew droids, the ability to move jammed components or engage in close quarters combat with boarding forces is invaluable. The same can be said for Network Security droids. For combat droids, this puts them on par or ahead of powered armor equipped combatants, allowing them to remain lethal in close quarters combat despite increasingly advanced and powerful powered armor suits.
This does come with a price, or several, rather. For one, the suite was only ever intended to be used with bipedal, humanoid droids with sufficient intelligence to be able to make use of the various advanced systems the suite offers. The sheer array of equipment does mean, however, that droids produced using this suite must be seen to by specialists to repair any major system damage. Such specialists are usually not easily found nor their services easily paid for. As such the company offers an extensive warranty and service program. However, given all the complicated electronics, though the housing is well protected against EMP and Ion weapons, should any such damage manage to bypass the suite's considerable defenses, then it is likely to cause significant, irreparable damage.
