Brec was a raised to serve the First Order from a young age. His Force Sensitivity marked him, by his father, as a candidate for the Imperial Knights, given his strength of connection to the Force. While Brec's father served, he was trained by a tutor from the First Order, given lessons in the Force and encouraged to embrace that part of his life, to grow stronger in its use. The boy proved a capable student, his father's expectations focusing his young mind, and it wasn't long before Brec proved himself a worthy consideration for the Knights of Ren. Alongside his Force training, Brec underwent intense weapons training, survival training and became accustomed to several martial arts.
Still, every teenager has a rebellious phase, and Brec was no different. With his father away on deployment for long periods of time, the young teen would act out and avoid some of his expectations or lessons. He showed a bit of an adventurous side, one less logical or strategic than his father's, and that meant Brec could be a little unpredictable. Not ideal in a military that preferred strict regiment. Still, guided by his Force mentor, and his father's disciplinary conversations, Brec joined the Knights of Ren and began his more specialized training under the teachings of a Master.
When the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium attacked the First Order, Brec was off-world training with a contingent of Knights. He received word of the attacks after the fact, and was unable to return in time for the largest assaults. He also heard of his father's injuries and visited him at the medical treatment facility as soon as he arrived back in-system. Alongside other Knights of Ren, Brec went to war and stayed loyal to the First Order, when other Ren abandoned the faction and sought their own sovereignty elsewhere. Brec remained in a bit of a limbo, where he did what he could for the First Order, using his training, until the implementation of the Imperial Knights - which he joined, even with the stain of the Ren on his record.
Following the assault from the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium, Brec has since become more serious about his duties as an Imperial Knight, though he has had to work hard to change his methodology from his Knights of Ren days. Unfortunately, his unpredictable nature served to work against him, as Brec was seen as something of a relic of the Ren, and was often passed over for promotion or elevation in the Imperial Knights. Still, unphased, Brec kept his head down and did his duty, and mastered his use of the Force despite how others may or may not have seen him in the First Order. It wouldn't be until several years later that Brec's capabilities couldn't be denied and he was granted the rank of Sentinel.
Brec has since continued to serve the First Order, protecting and serving as an Imperial Knight...

Brec is a tall, broad, dark-skinned humanoid that looks to be in great physical shape for his age and size. He has shaved, close-cropped black hair, dark brown eyes, and a trimmed mustache. He usually wears his Imperial Knight armor, though depending on the function can wear more ceremonial attire. He has some scars and visible signs of past injury on his body, but nothing that would be considered as feature defining.
Brec's Imperial Knight armor is colored black and silver-blue, and has modular armor plating that is comprised of phrik filament and cortosis gauntlets. There are also several attachments to the gauntlets that provide optional use in combat, as well as a utility belt with an assortment of items.
Brec wields a blue bladed lightsaber, which is simple in design, functional and made of songsteel metal.
