PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Combat Casualty Evacuation Shuttle (CASEVAC)
  • Length: 28m
  • Width: 19m
  • Height: 9m
  • Armament: None
  • Defenses:High
    • Compact Deflector Shield — survival-biased, tuned to hold during ground loiter and extraction under fire.
    • Ion Shielding Layer — protects life-support, medical systems, and avionics in ion/EMP/ECM-heavy environments.
    • Crystallaminium Mesh + Crystaplast Shell: Radiant dispersion and kinetic fragmentation resistance.
    • Ariadne Signal Resilience Node — maintains datalink and comms integrity under electronic stress (casualty handoff must not drop).
    • Chaff and Flare Dispersal System (Multi-burst Countermeasure Ejectors).
  • Squadron Count: Very Low - 4
  • Maneuverability Rating: High
  • Speed Rating: High
  • Hyperdrive:Yes
    • Primary: 1.0

STANDARD FEATURES
  • Standard life-support and avionics suite
  • Standard navigation and astrogation systems
  • Encrypted Commonwealth IFF; CMS emergency transponder; treaty-protected medical markings
  • Emergency ejection / crew-escape provision
  • Full trauma bay: bacta stabilization, surgical suite, mass-casualty litter capacity
  • Ducted lift fan and reinforced landing skids rated for unprepared / debris-strewn / hostile landing zones
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Power & Propulsion:
    • Howlback-XC Ion Engines — high-thrust, durability-focused engines built to move heavy payloads through approach-and-withdrawal profiles; well suited to a heavy, armored CASEVAC.
    • Icarus-S Maneuvering Array — vector-thrust microjets and inertial-dampener override for hard lateral bursts: the jink-and-go margin needed to clear a hot LZ.
    • FRIES-IV Modular Suite — thermal regulation and emergency power-rerouting; here it preserves the trauma bay and life-support under heat saturation or battle damage.
    • Crystal-Integrated Harmonic Regulator — prevents cascading power fluctuations across life-support, medical systems, and propulsion when the airframe is hit.
  • Wagner-type Precision Hyperjump System - a dedicated short-range precision hyperdrive paired with a slower, accuracy-biased backup drive, allowing the Bradley to perform a tightly-calculated orbital microjump: emerging at a precise low-orbit / high-atmosphere insertion point above a casualty site, followed by a fast conventional descent. It does not exit hyperspace inside the atmosphere (a feat canon treats as effectively impossible); the value is collapsing the orbit-to-site transit so a fresh extraction can begin over a zone in minutes.
STRENGTHS
  • Goes where others can't. Crystalamnium/Hekakles hull, High-rated defensive suite, and rough-field skids let the Bradley recover wounded from active disaster zones and contested ground that would destroy a civilian ambulance.
  • A trauma bay that survives the trip. FRIES-IV and the CIHR keep stabilization and life-support running under heat, ion stress, and damage; the Ariadne node keeps the casualty handoff linked when the environment is trying to cut it.
  • Arrives when it matters. Its precision microjump drive lets it blink to a fresh orbital insertion above a developing crisis and descend fast, putting a hardened trauma bay over the wounded in the window that decides whether they live.
WEAKNESSES
  • Unarmed by design. No offensive weapons of any kind; it survives by armor, shielding, and speed of extraction, and depends on escort in genuinely hot airspace.
  • Heavy and thirsty. Armor and redundant medical systems make it slower and less agile than a true transport, with high power and maintenance demands for its size.
DESCRIPTION
The Bradley exists for the moments the Commonwealth Medical Service would rather not admit happen: the mass-casualty event still under fire, the disaster zone the rescue crews cannot safely reach, the ground where the wounded are already down and the shooting has not stopped. Where the Emergency Medicine Group's ambulances wait at the edge of a secured perimeter, the Bradley crosses it.

Built for the Catalyst Response Division — the "Responders" drawn from the best of emergency medicine, hazard control, and law enforcement — and shared with the Armed Forces medical chain, it is a casualty shuttle hardened to a frontline standard without ever becoming a warship. Its medical-white hull and treaty-protected markings are honest: it carries no weapon. Everything that would have gone to armament has gone instead to staying alive long enough to do the job. The Crystalamnium and Hekakles hull shrugs off shrapnel; the deflector and ion shielding hold against the incidental violence of a zone not yet pacified; a ducted lift fan and heavy skids put it down on rubble and cratered ground. Inside, FRIES-IV and the Harmonic Regulator keep the bacta tank, the surgical suite, and the litter racks running even as the airframe takes punishment, and the Ariadne node keeps the casualty picture linked to the hospital waiting behind the line.

The doctrine is the human-scale echo of every protective instinct the Commonwealth builds into its fleet: reach the worst place there is, hold the wounded inside a bubble of care the violence outside cannot reach, and bring them home. It is unarmed, dependent on escort, and exactly what the Responders are willing to fly into a firestorm.
