Blast from the Past - Republic Dominion of Ruusan

Even Ruusan had been struck by the disappearance act of 844ABY. Normally that wouldn’t have bothered the Republic considering there were many planets that had suffered the same fate. However, Ruusan was not just any planet. It was a temple planet unlike most other. For this planet had something that made it stand out from the rest.

The Valley of the Jedi.

It had been a recent move on the Republic’s behalf to reclaim planets valued by the jedi. New Holstice for it’s monument and hospitals and now, finally, Ruusan for the Valley. It’s power and allure undeniable. After all, given the right equipment even those who were not attuned to the force could come to claim such abilities. Dark Jedi Desann had tried and succeeded all those years ago and to see a repeat of said events at this point of time could prove catastrophic in the efforts against the One Sith should it fall into the wrong hands.

Reports had been received of people already attempting such things. Some more successful than others but what was important was that it would come to an end.

Good thing the Republic was here to ensure it did.

In space an unknown fleet remained in orbit around the planet. By the looks of it a forgotten Imperial cell. Their worn-down star destroyers would certainly speak of such things.

On the Ruusan Temple Grounds life was uncertain as the newly arrived fleet hung like a dagger on a thin wire. Normally they would have quelled the threat themselves but with the force in fluctuation like it currently was there was little they could do but hold on tight and wait for help.

Finally, around the entrances and pathways to the Valley of the Jedi the valiant warriors in white, stormtroopers, were patrolling. Their crazed ramblings and worn down, unclean equipment spoke of both their mental state as well as general condition. They were long forgotten but still as loyal as ever and ready to kill.

It was time to fix this.

1. Destroy Unknown 'Imperial' Fleet.
2. Investigate Local Jedi Enclave.
3. Secure the Valley of the Jedi from 'Imperial' intruders.

Since a freak and currently unexplained occurrence recently, Corvus had kept away from people. Women in particular but people in general. But that suited her at the moment. Because her mood was at best sour and at worst downright cantankerous.

So she walked alone. And she remembered the words of Kaan to Lord Hoth. "Welcome to the grave and darkness from which none will ever emerge." They felt poignant, personal even.

She was an historian and was surprised she'd never visited here before. The Valley of the Jedi was also know as the Valley of the Souls. The site of the Seventh Battle of Ruusan, the last battle of the New Sith Wars and a thousand years before the Battle of Yavin.

Here, Lord Kaan's thought bomb trapped the souls of over one-hundred Jedi and Sith. Here Bane had started a legacy that exposed the Jedi as naïve in their belief that the Sith could be eradicated. There was balance in the Force. There was then and there is now.

So she made her way towards the location of the monument to the heroes of the Army of Light and Lord Hoth, that was built to house a mausoleum adorned with massive statues. Home of a meditative chamber for the Jedi. The monuments were apparently made by stones that came from various planets, like the heroes of the Army of Light. She'd seen images on holovids of the site before but never in real life. On a different day, with a different mood, this would have been glorious. Today it was a task that had to be accomplished.

Well she could do tasks. She could do what was necessary. Success was all that mattered. Enjoyment was extraneous right now. She had a job to do - to serve the Republic, and nothing would stand in her way.

And if anyone got in her way? Best not to find out...

Within just a week she'd made at least a hundred mistakes. Maybe more. How many people had died because of her? How many more almost did? Really she should be staying on Ossus, doing nothing, and waiting for the grown-ups to handle things. But these people weren't adults! Or at least plenty of them barely were! That really only made things worse. These... these children were handling everything better than the forty-year-old soldier was. Being poisoned by the Sith was, in fact, a perfectly legitimate excuse. It wasn't, however, one that Drapeam Nyx felt comfortable using. In her mind this was the only way to atone for her sins: Prove she wasn't such a frak-up and get the job done. Probably crack some heads along the way. Get cut up here or there. Kill some schuttas. Yeah, sounded about right. Someone had to make sure that these kiddies didn't mess up. Yeah! That's what she told herself as she cracked her knuckles, mentally prepping for the kinds of firefights she was used to. This wasn't her usual type of battlefield... but if a conflict came up she'd be ready!

As pumped as ever the Zorren followed quietly behind her 'squad-mates'. They were scouting out the edges of the Valley, trying to see what exactly was going on there. So far they had found more plant life then sentient beings. It did nothing to quell the nervousness that she felt. This was the first step for her- for her redemption. All she had to do was follow orders, save lives, keep her head out of her ass. Simple enough, right? It should be. Might have even ended up that way if the woman didn't get the sinking feeling she was going to run into someone she was trying to avoid... Then again, she was avoiding lots of people, so that threat was always there... This time it just felt a little more potent.
Oh joy. It was going to be a long day...

Sanya Val Lerium

Neutral, Queen of Her people, Neko
Sanya had been waiting to take back russan. one of her factory's was here according to the P2-S3 (Katrina) unit that she has run the company said that there has been an imperial presence outside the facility.

Exiting hyperspace she set her course directly to the factory. when she got closer to the factory she did a scan to look for life forms in and outside her factory. "Katrina come in" there was a moment of static before her Droid replied "Hello miss Lerium, how my I help you today." her ship was almost at the factory now and only two imperial outposts had show up close to the compound. "Katrina I need the hanger doors open I'm almost at the complex."

as the ship settled down in the hanger a team of droids was at the ready to follow out checks and refuel the ship. Sanya stood up from her chair and exited from back to be greeted by her Droid. "hello Katrina, what's the reports on the production and the imperial situation." the Droid brought up it's data pad and handed it over to Sanya. "the imperials had made an attempt to secure the company but where shortly disposed of due to our defence." Sanya was pleased with both the progress and defence. "that's good news. say have we a Bach of the light seekers at the ready if so have one put in my ship" the P2-S3 unit tapped away on the data pad "that will be done for you."

Sanya checked she had not left anything on her ship and looked to the Droid "okay Katrina im going to head to my office, and then I'll be heading out to deal with the imperials."

It was like a pilgrimage. A perfect little pilgrimage in honor of the one jedi she adored the most. Kyle Katarn. To think she’d finally find herself a reason to go here was exhilarating. She was in a position where she finally had a chance to step into the shadow of her idol. Of freakin’ course she would see the Valley of the Jedi cleansed of the old foe that had tried to besmirch it once before!

She was the Katarn and the troopers ahead of her were under the command of the Dark Jedi Jerecc. In a sense looking at is a childish game gave her all the vibes of ‘wrong’ that was known to man but force knows she was enjoying this.

It was go time. Her saber reached up to disable the one stormtrooper’s weapon in a cut for his arms. Promptly he fell to the floor in writhing pain. Which in itself was evidence enough to Kana that perhaps for her own sake it was time to tell herself she wasn’t in a videogame. Even if she really, really wish she was.

Her hand reached up for the comlink in her ear. <<“This is Master Truden. Making a move to secure the valley, over.”>>

She retracted her hand from the headset and snuck ahead; E-11 in hand and everything. After all, she couldn’t really trust the force with this. Could she?

Jorga the Hutt

When life gives you Mandos, make Mando'ade
Well, feth.

Rel Connory, former Senator of Eshan, currently undercover as the Sith Lord Darth Parash, twiddled an Artusian crystal between his fingers as he watched the Republic begin retaking the Valley of the Jedi. His vantage point was the Liberty's Veil, the prototypical stygium-cloaked gravitically-modulated thrust-trace-damped stealth ship, hovering three hundred metres above the Valley.

Of the opportunists Master Truden had noted, one had been Rel. He'd applied his security clearance and intimate knowledge of where the Republic's bodies were buried to the problem, the one apparently insurmountable problem, that lay between him and a successful stint as a Sith on the Inside. The problem was that he hadn't been Force-sensitive. Artusian crystals and the Valley had solved that, but there was always the possibility that his jury-rigged solution wasn't permanent. He'd hoped to get a few more Valley-infused Artusian crystals to add to his stock, in case experiments were in the offing, but now he didn't have that opportunity. And considering how regularly Jedi joined the One Sith, he didn't feel like explaining his survival, his presence, or his methods would serve his purposes.

So he flew away.

As she walked her mood was mellowing - slightly. But she was still in no mood for company. Instead she reflected on what she remembered about the Ruusan campaign.

Ruusan, despite its meagre size, was a world of major importance to both the Republic and the Sith. Strategically located on the edges of the Inner Rim, it also stood at what most considered the border between the Republic's dangerous frontier and its safe and secure Core. Ruusan was a symbol. All those centuries ago, conquering it represented the inevitable advance of the Sith and their conquest of the Republic; liberating it was to be emblematic of the Jedi's ability to drive the invaders away and protect the Republic's citizens. The result was an endless cycle of battles, with neither side willing to admit defeat.

The First Battle of Ruusan had seen the invading Sith fleet rout the Republic forces using the elements of surprise and the strength of Kaan's battle meditation. The second battle saw the Republic try to reclaim control of Ruusan and fail, driven back by the enemy's superior numbers and firepower.

The third battle in the skies above Ruusan marked the emergence of the Army of Light. Instead of Republic cruisers and fighters, the Sith found themselves facing a fleet made up primarily of one-and two-crew fighters piloted exclusively by Jedi. The common soldiers who had joined Kaan's army were no match for the Force, and Ruusan was saved...for a time.

The Sith had responded to the Army of Light by amassing the full numbers of the Brotherhood of Darkness into a single army, then unleashing it on Ruusan. The war that had ravaged the world from on high moved down to the surface, with far more devastating consequences. Compared with space fleet battles, ground combat was brutal, bloody, and visceral.

The clash between armies of Jedi and Sith, led by Jedi Masters and Dark Lords, had shaken the foundations of the world. The power of the Force raged unchecked across the battlefields like the thunder of an exploding star. Towns, villages, and individual homes caught up in the storm had been wiped out, leaving only death and destruction behind. Civilians caught up in the wake of war had been forced to flee, becoming refugees of an epic battle between the champions of light and dark.

Seeing their suffering, the Jedi had sought to console, comfort, and protect the innocent citizens of Ruusan. They planned their strategies around defending civilian settlements and homesteads, even at the expense of resources and tactical advantage. The Sith, of course, made no such concessions - seeing their compassion as a weakness. The age-old argument.

For this mission, Elizie chose something less… formal as her apparel, foregoing her usual dress code she sported within the walls of the Jedi Temple, deciding to wear an armour that was well suited for any combat situations she would undoubtedly find herself in. The young Arkanian chose her Jedi Shadow armour to accompany her on this mission. The back armoured suit was the same that had saved her arm on Kashyyk when her Sith opponent decided to wound the unconscious Jedi, perhaps as a sign of superiority, perhaps to show the Arkanian was not even worth of dying by her blade. The Padawan absent-mindedly touched the hole where the crimson blade cut through. Only thanks to the combination of armourweave and durasteel Elizie suffered only a light injury that impacted her ability to use lightsabers in no significant way. Her lightsaber would certainly come in handy in this mission; if all attempts at negotiating a surrender of the soldiers failed. What kind of surprised Elizie was that those soldiers were… Imperials? Like the ones from the past? Stormtroopers? She knew many Imperial loyalists still existed, but what was their purpose here?

She had already descended on the planet, ready to aid her fellow Jedi… but not yet. Her training as a Shadow would come perfect for this kind of operation, to clear the Valley of the Jedi of all hostile forces. Despite that, the Arkanian had yet to exhaust all other options of dealing with the Imperial forces. They were outnumbered and outgunned and if someone gave the order, this mission could easily turn into a slaughter and an easy victory for the Republic. As a Jedi, the white-haired woman had to at least attempt to solve this peacefully, more or less, before the two parties clashed. She could still prevent an unnecessary loss of life on both sides, a way to repent herself for what she had done on Alderaan, to prove she still held the Jedi principles close to her heart.

Elizie stood in a small shuttle, accompanied by a few soldiers. Well, not soldiers, really, just two pilots who were kind enough to take her to this place. Giving one of them a nod, the man pressed a few buttons on his console and turned on a long-range transmitter, aiming to contact one of the Imperial ships in orbit. The Padawan sincerely hoped she’d be able to persuade the commander to see the futility of their actions, negotiate a surrender and end this without bloodshed! To live up to the reputation of Jedi being mediators and excellent negotiators, not just warriors!

Spectres of the past. That was all the Admiral had expected to find at Ruusan. He had opposed it. There were more and better locations to acquire. The tide of war had put Ruusan behind the Republic front, and in any case it was a Jedi site. Whilst he acknowledged the usefulness of the Jedi, the Admiral was not sure diverting significant resources were worth it.

He’d allocated only a single cruiser with escorts to the mission before he’d heard the most intriguing information.
“Sir, there appears to be…Imperial…ships in orbit.”
“Sith?”
“No sir, Imperial…old Imperial. Palpatine’s Imperials.”
“Check your scanners, man, they must be old hulks.”
“No sir, it seems genuine. There are white armoured stormtroopers and everything.”
The Admiral frowned, trying to figure all of this out. “Is this some sort of Force thing?” he asked hesitantly. That seemed to explain everything these days.
“Unclear, sir. The ships and such seem real though.”
“Very well, I will investigate this myself. What do we have available for action?”
“Slim pickings, sir. I believe there is just the Ebbing Heart and some untried destroyers. The Justice and Bright Dawn are coming online.”
“An Avenger and a Warhammer? Splendid. Let’s give them a run.”

Orders were given, and soon the fleet was underway to examine these ‘Imperials’.

Sanya Val Lerium

Neutral, Queen of Her people, Neko
Sanya reached her office and sat down in the chair, she lent over to the computer and turned it on. leaning back she shighed "ohh it's been to long since been here." as the computer booted up she signed in, as the main screen loaded in she swiped her data pad to show the attempt the imperials did to take over.

from the video it showed the attackers had mostly infantry units, although there plan didn't count on heavily armed vehicles around the site for such an event. from other logs it has shown an increase of activity around the areas where there outposts are based. they must be preparing another strike but with force this time.

with this information Sanya decided to prepare for the attack, she pulled out her com and contacted Karina. "Karina have three of the Yoma-AB's stationed out side the facility ready for an attack, also send six of the Arachnid-AT's to support them." the Droid instantly gave a reply "right away miss Lerium."

Kian was running, not in the urgent, terrified sort of way, but in the relaxing, exercising sort of way. He was aware that there was fighting going on not far from his location, but he wasn't too concerned. He was cutting through the jungle, his eyes scanning the area for anything that might be dangerous. Kian wasn't on a combat mission this time. His objective was simple. Gain access to the ruins on Ruusan and see if there was anything there that they would need to take into custody.

There was no telling what was still around after all this time, but anything that was there, the Republic would find. Cutting through the last section of foliage, Kian slowed as he caught sight of the stone buildings ahead. He dropped down a bit and moved to approach the enclave silently and as stealthily as possible. He wasn't sure what he would find inside but he also wasn't foolish enough to move in recklessly.

Dropping into a shaded area, Kian walked along the wall. Taking a deep breath, he leaned around the corner and saw.....nothing. Smiling to himself he turned the corner and made his way into the central courtyard of the structure. There were several stone corridors leading down into the darkness beneath.

"I guess.....that one." Kian said looking over the three and randomly picking one. Lets hope his luck held up.

Two fighters raced across the sky. One was a J-1 Star Interceptor chasing what seemed to be a One Sith model of starfighter. Smoke billowed from one of the One Sith fighter’s engines. Sabena piloted the J-1 and had caught this starfighter in a surprise attack. She kept chase on the orders to bring the starfighter down.

For the moment, the two raced over a patch of Ruusan desert. Sabena attempted to keep a lock on the target - yet the starfighter she chased was extremely fast and able. She did not have any missiles left in order to bring it down and only had to rely on laser cannon fire.

After a couple minutes of trying to line up a shot, Sabena eventually got a lock. She released a volley of laser cannon fire - hoping to hit the target.

Step for step she carried herself onwards. This was still a game, a child following her idol’s footsteps. In a sense she was jealous that she hadn’t crashed a ship prior to truly get that true Katarn experience. Though perhaps that was a bit too morbid. Simply traversing down the canyon walls towards the valley was good enough for now.

With the stormtrooper’s E-11 still in her hands she couldn’t help feeling awed again. It was that one weapon she truly wished to keep around yet every time she had the opportunity to claim one it slipped away from her. Not this time though. Blaster held firm in her hands she looked around the corner. There were two storm troopers and only one Kana with no force. The playground had been set on equal levels. If she caught them by surprise she had a good shot to get past them.

It was worth a try at least.

Her body popped around the corner. Blaster raised and trigger squeezed. One down, two down.

Almost too easy.

Corvus reflected on the parallels between what happened on this planet and what was happening in the galaxy. Something was affecting the Force and by definition Force Users. And all those years ago, Bane had given Sith Lord Kaan a peace offering a detailed description of one of the most fearsome creations of the ancient Sith: the thought bomb.

An ancient ritual that required the combined will of many powerful Sith Lords, the thought bomb unleashed the pure destructive energy of the Dark-side. It was highly volatile, making it difficult to control even for those who had the strength to summon it. And the Sith knew it was possible the blast could annihilate the entire Sith Brotherhood along with Hoth's Army of Light. The vacuum at the centre of the blast would suck in the disembodied spirits of Sith and Jedi alike, trapping them side by side for all eternity in an unbreakable state of equilibrium at the heart of a frozen sphere of pure energy. Well that was the plan and it broadly went the way it was expected.

Until Kyle Katarn intervened of course.

They moved slowly through the bushes, pausing here in there when they thought they might be caught, slowly heading towards the main portion of the Valley. It took a minute for them to reach the last part of the outskirts. Others had already arrived, no doubt having gotten started sooner. The whole scene was an odd sight. Some people seemed to be fighting while others were just kind of... soaking in the feeling of the place. Weird. Apparently those in the squad wanted Nyx to be the one to check it out. Made sense, really, seeing as she had the sniper rifle. One of the men nudged her quietly. She nodded before pulling out her weapon. Getting into position she flicked the safety lock (making sure it was on) and looked through the scope. What she saw really only confused her. There were what appeared to be stormtroopers wandering about, along with a few Republic allies.

"Well? You going to shoot those guys or should I?" Someone behind her asked. Nyx frowned.
"I ain't sure what I'm looking at yet. Don't want to kill something we could save."
"Never thought I'd hear that from an Imp queen."
She promptly ignored the man from that point onward. Even when he kept talking about how horrible she was for once being enlisted in the Imperial army, she was going to chaos (surprise you jerk, I've already been there), and something about her family being the cause of the downfall of the galaxy. Eventually someone else growled at him to shut up before they got caught.

Maybe this day wouldn't be so bad after all.

the vehicle had finally gotten into position and ready to fight. on the map Sanya had successful marked all the imperials forces, and her 9 vehicles. this was the best way for Sanya too look for a strategy. from what she can see is the closest output was all infantry but there second had two AT-AT's ready. as she gazed at the screen she liked the odds. "wow there tech is old. I'd like to get my hands on some of it. hmmm I wouldn't mind an upgraded AT-AT spray it white and orange" Sanya laughed to her self before opening com's to the troops out side.

"Artillery unit I need you to fire a volley of shots at this location" she sent a image of the map with markers to where the shots need to roughly land, they where not over the base but just out side as warning shots. Sanya was also curious to what there reaction would be, if they would now rush there attack or retreat.

five minutes after the shot landed both outposts seemed to be moving towards the same location. if the force joined it would make them a big target. Sanya sent the map feed to her data pad and stood up from her chair, she exited her office walking towards the exit of the building walking as fast as she could.

Not Ordo

Just under the upper hand.
The epic form of the great ship dropped from hyperspace and hung unmoving for a long moment. Helmetus looked out the viewport and nodded. His face plate fell and his voice lowered 3 octaves

"I claim this world in the name of the True Empire and my predecessor Constipix." He said, "what is it called?"

"Ruusan lord Helmetus." Major Rod said rolling his eyes.

"Wait...The Ruusan?"

"Yes m'lord."

"Ah yeeah. I now name it 'Jeedaisith dawn'. "

"As you wish Lord Helmetus."

"I DO WISH FETHER!"

"HAIL HELMETUS!"

"Fething right hail me."

The work of claiming the world done they activated their hyperdrive and went to the next world.

Corvus marvelled at the natural beauty of the caves. She'd followed the directions she'd downloaded back on her ship and felt compelled to see them. They were cool and damp, but they were far from dark. The rock walls and ceiling were laced with crystals that caught the dim light from her torch, reflecting and refracting their illumination throughout the cavern.

Pools of water shimmered on the floor, and stalagmites jutted up toward the roof, complementing a host of stalactites hanging down, water dripping steadily from their tips to splash and ripple the pools far below. In some places the protrusions had fused.

It was beautiful yet macabre. So many died here - or at least their souls were trapped here. Bane had been here, as had Zannah. She'd cut her own cousin's hand off to perversely save his life. Her final act of kindness. Despite the warmth, she shivered. The historian in her so excited at where she was, but at the same time revulsed at the act carried out here. The Sith would have performed a ritual and the effects of their machinations would have been felt for many kilometres in every direction. A wave of Dark-side energy would pass over the land - obliterating only those that were connected to the Force. Well not all, but almost all.

And with it the Brotherhood of Darkness had been purged. And s far as the Jedi knew, the Sith were now extinct. The Rule of Two was about to begin.

The crackling of the holoprojector indicated the request has been sent to one of the Imperial ships in the orbit. Then the waiting started. Both pilots remained silent and Elizie bit her lip in anticipation as she stared at the projector, hoping to see some response from the Imperial forces. The girl also started to think about what to say. Honestly, she had little idea, and she did not understand why she was the only one trying to solve this situation peacefully. It became quite frustrating to see her Jedi brothers and sisters mindlessly charge into battle without even attempting to negotiate with the enemy forces and come up with a peaceful solution. The Jedi Order apparently started losing its way, tragically. Was this the reason for the Light Side of the Force to abandon them? Possibly, but it still felt so sudden… Elizie could only hope to show the Light Side some Jedi still remained faithful to their way and the Code. Hope was all that remained. Though now that she thought about it, given what happened on Alderaan… Luckily, the sudden sound of static that erupted from the Holo tore her away from dark thoughts and forced the Arkanian to focus on the present. This was a good sign. The pilots also fully turned their attention to the projector, though being behind it, their forms wouldn’t be recorded.

Few more seconds passed and the empty display suddenly shifted to an image of an older man dressed in a typical Imperial officer uniform. Some wrinkles and grey hair adorned his head, he appeared to be in his fifties. The Imperial looked very formal, and though the only colours the projector displayed were ghostly shades of blue, the Arkanian glance towards the officer’s chest revealed his insignia that showed his rank of Captain. Elizie immediately regretted taking the armour; she looked so out of place and definitely gave a bad first impression. Trying to negotiate a non-violent solution while being dressed in armour definitely did more harm than good as the man’s steel eyes gave her a disapproving glance, observing the Arkanian and noting her lightsaber.

“Jedi,” the man hissed through his teeth and though Elizie could not feel him thought the Force, she could almost taste his hate. “You are talking to Captain Lektijer, the commanding officer of the Vigilant. What is it you want?” His voice was slightly distorted due to the poor connection, but the girl could hear a sign of weariness.

“I am Padawan Adasca,” Elizie offered him a deep and respectful bow, her tone calm, soothing, polite. “Captain Lektijer, could you please tell me what your business here on Ruusan is? Your sudden and unauthorized appearance in the planet’s orbit and the deployment of your forces on the surface may be seen as an act of aggression. In fact, there is a Republic fleet moving towards you as we speak.”

The man simply stared at her for a while, his gaze hardened. “You are an enemy of the Sith Empire. It is your presence on the planet that will be seen as an act of aggression. This…” The girl no longer listened. The first sentence stuck in her mind as she heard the name of a certain faction that no longer existed. Elizie’s eyes widened in surprise. Sith Empire? The Sith Empire that’d been defeated so many years ago? It made no sense.

“Your Empire no longer exists,” the Arkanian stated, interrupting the man, “You have been defeated.” It angered him.

“Don’t talk about being defeated, Jedi.” He said, his voice trying to remain calm, but failing. “The Sith Empire is vast. The Republic will surely fall soon.”

Again, she had to interrupt him. Elizie had heard of many soldiers who did not realize the war was over and continued to fight on their own. This seemed to be a case. “When was the last time you have been contacted by someone outside of your fleet? When was the last time you have heard of the state of the galaxy? When was the last time you have seen your family?” It was a scary thought that these men still followed their duty, sacrificing their personal lives for the good of their fallen government.

“All communications had to be cut per Commodore Harkin’s order. Our mission requires secrecy. As such,” his lips curled into a smile, “I have to ask you to surrender.”

In that moment, the Force gave Elizie a warning. Someone was outside of the shuttle. It did not take long for an Imperial officer in black uniform, his face worn signed by age and lack of sleep, enter the shuttle, followed by two stormtroopers. The Arkanian looked at the Republic pilots, who drew their weapons and aimed at the Imperials, while the officer remained calm, walking towards Elizie. They must have tracked the signal coming from the ship and immediately sent a commando in there during the talking.

“You are surrounded and outnumbered,” the Imperial spoke, “There are twenty veterans waiting outside of the ship, Jedi. Come peacefully and I promise you will be well treated as a prisoner of war until it is decided what happens next.”

I waited in the dropship as padawan [member="Elizie Adasca"] was talking to the captain on the holo. At first I thought is was a crazy idea but then I didn't realize how crazy it was until I heard the captain speak. This was bad since if we have an army of lunatics running around the planet they could do some serious damage. I was about to reach for my lightsaber when the commandos arrived but I was in shock by the armor they were wearing and the blasters they were using. Most of it was obsolete or hasn't been used in years. I got into a readying stance but I waited for what Elizie had to say. She was the talker not me and hey I could learn a few things. I still kept my hand on my saber though just in case things go wrong.
