- BW-71: Can only be found within
The Lord of Hunger
- BW-71A: utilized as a building block for the Thanatos Virus, Glimmering Oil and other projects requiring or utilizing the BW-71 strain after exiting the body of Credius Nargath. Storage locations are on Schesa, Eriadu, Lianna, New Alderaan.
- BW-71B: Utilized as a building block for Mobius Tyranicus and other bio-engineering projects, formed when BW-71 exits the host body through a closed circuit, locations include Bastion, Coruscant, The Redoubt and other locations.
- BW-71: Can only be found within
- Description: The BW-71 strain is a unique sort of virus, having mutated concordingly with its host as a result of the virus bonding with the host's unique lifeforce, their midichlorians and even genetic detail under the duress and influence of the untested All Purpose Anti Viral Suppressant, which when it had been taken in great quantities had managed to grant the virus a sort of basic sentience, aiding it in its desire to consume and replicate. in this semi-sentient status it is capable of being more targeted in the protection of its host and capable of even following mental triggers in response to its host's stress levels and personal mental state. However, as it has a unique status, the BW-71 strain does not translate itself through infection like most other viruses even within its own family and clade. Any indirect infection will result in an inferior strain which would lack at least several of the origin strain's strengths and will be classified as strain BW-71A, which is non-sentient and follows the standard markers of older, less complicated blackwing strains, though it retains the potency in terms of infection rate. However, through direct infection (I.E. through blood transfusion) the strain may incidentily start to partially override its new host/victims genetic material with that of its original host body, effectively creating beings much closer in genetic detail to its host, causing mutations and perhaps even death when incompatible, but those who are extremely compatible may only see their potential in physical prowess and force sensitivity increase in return for mental instability and potential mind control/pressure by the original BW-71 strain's host (

- Morphology: The virus resembles a mold at first sight, attaining a tendril-like state which can contract and expand. It will increase and grow exponentially until it can even be visible with the naked eye in large masses similarly shaped like the original base virus, as a mass of tendrils
- Size: The virus itself meassures somewhere between 10 and 100 nm, depending on the consistensy of the tendril structure and the amount of genetic materials transported through the tendrils, though through clumping together, even the miniscule virus can become visible to the naked eye.
- Color: Onyx, black and rust color, shade of color depending on amount of genetic material being sluiced through the tendrils.
- Distinctions: The BW-71 virus is strange in the fact that it is semi-sentient, while it does not have an analytical mind or broad thinking-capacity, it is capable of following mental directions, exerting a base desire and protecting itself and its host through rapid growth and modifications. It is however extremely energy-consuming and while it may seem beneficial to its host, it is wholly focused on its own survival and possible propagation. It has distinct offshoots in the form of BW-71A and BW-71B, both of which are to be considered inferior variants of itself, with BW-71A mainly exhibiting the standard blackwing virus properties, but with greater resistance to environments and medicine, allowing for a much faster infection and propagation. BW-71B at the same time has more in common with the original strain and focuses more on strengthening the host by overwriting their genetic material into that of a suitable host (utilizing the template of what the main strain has deemed the perfect host... AKA
The Lord of Hunger )
- Source: Officially the virus is a further, unique mutation on the standard Blackwing Virus, originating from an outbreak on atrisia and mutating through the influence of an overdose of anti-viral suppressants.
- Host Species: Any biological creature from flora, fauna or funghi can be infected and act as a host, though currently the majority of tests have indicated a preference for human and near human creatures for particularly BW-71B.
- Host Range: Broad (Many Species).
- Viability: While it can go dormant within extreme cold environments or be outright destroyed by extreme hot environments such as volcanoes and volcanic planets, it is in fact capable of surviving the vacuum of space in all strain variations, though it will prefer moderate environments and ofcourse healthy hosts over these extremes.
- Lethality: High to Fatal : The outcome of the infection and the lethality depends on the compatibility of the subject, and the means of transfer. BW-71A resembling an extremely resistant base Blackwing-strain is a very dangerous and highly damaging virus which has a mortality rate between 75 and 95%. The BW-71B substrain may be less fatal, with a mortality rate closer to 65-85% but it has lasting effects and may have a higher mortality when the consequences of the virus are clarified.
- Severity: High Both BW-71A and BW71B result in very painful endresults. BW-71A follows the same path as any standard Blackwing strain, weakening the host through attacking the immune system, systematically rewriting the genetic code and propagating itself without limit, eventually resulting in death either through overworking the body or through fatally low immune system, upon which the body may or may not be resurrected by the virus to act as a carrier/spreader. BW-71B will forcefully rewrite the host's genetic code, which depending on the host's compatibility with the new genetic code may either result in wild mutations which may or may not be lethal or it results in minor physical changes when compatability is extremely high.
- Infectivity: Extreme
- Modes of Transmission: This Blackwing strain is not naturally airborne and prefers liquid as its mode of transference, usually bodily fluids or even direct infection through contact with the host.
- Incubation Period: The incubation depends wholly on the strain subtype. BW-71A will exhibit its first signs and symptoms within a few minutes to a few hours, as it triggers a quick response from the infectee's immune system. BW-71B can take anywhere between several hours to several days as it is more systematic in its approach and does not flood the host's system like BW-71A does.
- Re-Infection: It can reinfect any who have contracted the virus and any of its strains before (I.E. a survivor of another blackwing strain may still need to remain cautious in contact with BW-71) However, those who have already contracted BW-71A before are less likely to succumb to it in reinfection and may exhibit the characteristics of a carrier, meaning the virus will not flood their system, but may still remain active until it is flushed/removed from the host's system. BW-71B will always be capable of reinfecting, though its activity may be severely lowered in those who have been infected before but have not removed the virus from their system, those that have removed it from their system will essentially be classed as new infectees rather than reinfected.
- Vaccine/Cure: There are several ways to remove the BW-71A and B strains, among which are forceful expellment with overpowering force aura, though this would be considered very dangerous as it may exhaust the victim to the point where reinfection is nigh inevitable. There are several cures and vaccines against the standard strains of Blackwing on the market, which are not guaranteed to have any effect on the virus, may still slow down the propagation of the virus and allow the bodies to create the standard antibodies to suppress or slow down the virus. Strong anti-viral suppressants may be capable to stall and suppress the virus depending on the dosage, with the most powerful ones capable of flushing it out of a host's system, though usually at great risk as these drugs may be nearly as lethal as the virus itself, especially when used on weakened infectees.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
In 862 ABY, a Blackwing Virus outbreak had been orchestrated on Atrisia during a rebellion against the Confederacy of Independant System. As part of a unified relief force, Credius Nargath, then Viceroy of Eriadu and head of House Nargath, brought with him a whole host of his personal guards and a large shipment of untested, yet promising anti-viral suppressants with the goal of observing the virus' progression and the effectiveness of this at the time groundbreaking creation of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation.
Alas when on the ground, the situation worsened, with much of the relief force being cornered, cut off and besieged by Blackwing infectees, so too did many of the viceroy's personal guard fell prey to the virus and eventually, Credius himself as well. In desperation, the Marquis of Valkan and Viceroy of Eriadu injected himself with a massive overdose of the anti-viral suppressant, not knowing of the drawback the drug had when it was used by force sensitive people...and with Credius being someone with a very high force potential and deep connection to the dark side of the force, the results were to say the least: surprising.
The Blackwing Virus he contracted began to mutate due to the dual influence of his own force sensitivity and the massive amounts of anti-viral suppressants flooding his system. While the drug did manage to subdue the virus to a degree, his own force sensitivity bonded the virus to himself on a cellular level and managed to awaken the sentience of the virus itself to a degree, turning the relationship between the virus and its host into a strange, contradictory mutual beneficial one; where the host would be kept alive as long as energy and lifeforce was provided to the virus. The host in turn would become stronger, yet also more ravenous, a much more dangerous being than the human they were prior.
After the defection from the CIS and the foundation of the Zweihander Union, this mutated blackwing strain was researched and studied, leading to various discoveries on how to utilize it and even weaponize it, though this research also showed that the particular parent strain, called BW-71 was unique and could never be fully replicated as no other being seemed to have that same bond with the virus on both a physical and mental level as Credius did, with the substrains coming from any contact with the mutated virus being classed as BW-71A and BW71B.
Though ample research had been done, Credius' condition strangely started to worsen and with the collapse of the Zweihander Union, his physical form and most of his personal staff were relocated to the Tomb of C on The Redoubt where they conducted further research while the main strain and its host were kept in stasis.
In 900 ABY, the former viceroy and former Chancellor of the Left was reawakened from his slumber, having gained a deeper sense of prupose and a stronger connection with the virus within him, having understood that with the virus' mutation, his humanity had gone completely. However, new discoveries were made as well, such as the fact that a combination of both lifeforce and the actual living force were best to satiate the BW_71 strain, with the return to the host being that for some reason retaining their youth and having a technically unlimited force potential were the trade off... as long as the virus would remain satiated...
