Beth and the Thunderous Blues

Location: Ch'avz, Sposia

Beth took a deep breath as she stared out the window of the just landed transport ship. A small transport carried a small group of individuals - [member="Cleru"], [member="Yasha Cadera"], and [member="Adenn Kyramud"]. Life had changed dramatically over the past couple months. Beth folded her arms across as she took a deep breath. She had to make this work, if not for her, for Cleru, for... The twins.

She shook her head, shaking off the anxiety that was erupting inside her. Beth wore a light pink, shoulder-less dress with her hair up in a small, neat bun. She had to make a good impression, right? Especially if... Ugh. She hoped Cleru was right about all this and this would all work out okay. Beth fidgeted with her hands as she gave a smile to her entourage. "We're here!" She said with a nervous grin.

She was excited - she was excited to be living with Cleru. To be in Chiss space, and to be moving forward even though her life plan journal was in a dumpster somewhere. Beth was slowly accepting that while things weren't turning out the way she planned, they were... Turning, in a good direction at least. Mostly, though, the realization of how much she was going to miss her mom, brothers and sisters, would be.

But Beth couldn't live her life off of that, could she? And with another small smile, the exit opened and Beth walked down the ramp, likely to meet [member="Karisa"] and her entourage at any moment.

Sabosen Estate

concept-ext-1.jpg

Crimson eyes looked to the clear skies above as a transport came into view on final approach to the Sabosen Estate. House Sabosen would be hosting an aspiring medical student from the Clans of Mandalore. In fact, it was none other than the daughter of the Mand'alor herself. There were special circumstances that had forged this arrangement, but that was neither here nor there. What mattered was that [member="Beth Cadera"] was to continue her training at one of the most prestigious medical programs in the galaxy, and under the watch eye and mentorship of Chief Medical Officer Brask'ari'sabosen.

The Chiss doctor stood in the receiving area at the landing pad near the main house wearing a dress in the Sabosen family color of rust red. After the ship landed and cycled through its post-flight, Brask'ari'sabosen smoothed over her dark hair that was pulled back, then awaited for the special guest to disembark. The weather couldn't be more lovely for this time of year with a slight breeze coming in off the ocean to keep the moderate spring temperature comfortable.

The Ambassador of House Sabosen wasn't exactly sure of who all would be accompanying the young woman to her new home away from home, but nonetheless they all would receive a warm welcome. After all, this was part of the diplomacy still blooming between the two factions.

[member="Beth Cadera"], daughter of the Mand'alor, and medic extraordinaire. She was pregnant, thanks to [member="Cleru"], and with twins no less. He had been invited to come along with Beth as she moved into Clerus house, or at least some Chiss' house. Adenn didn't really know what he was supposed to do, so he had decided he'd play the role of guard here. Thankfully, unlike the ball, he hadn't been restricted from carrying his usual weapons with him(see BIO). A fact that left a smile on Adenns face.

Sure, the Chiss and Mandos were allies now, he had been there for the signing, but he still prefered to have his weapons with him. Adenn had then been brought along in a small transport, headed to Ch'avz, Sposia. A strange name, but then again, it was a different culture, with its own cultures and customs. But that all wasn't important, what was important is that they were here. Then Adenn remembered something, during the family gathering, he had said to use protection, it seems she didn't take those words to heart. A fact that made Adenn laugh lightly to himself.

Standing near Beth, behind her and on her right, Adenn grinned as she shook her head. It seemed to him that she wasn't fully ready for this. When she said "We're here," he gave her a look of "really." As if it weren't obvious they were there, then he smiled behind his helmet. She was nervous, very nervous, and most likely not fully ready for this. Looking her over, Adenn smiled again, he patted her shoulder then. He then spoke in Mando'a.
"You'll be fine," He chuckled lightly then, squeezing her shoulder gently before letting go. "and don't worry, your vod will be there. All you have to do is call."

Then the ramp opened up, and they were released onto the planet. Grinning to himself, Adenn walked down with Beth, ready for anything. Stepping down and onto the earth, Adenn looked around. The place looked rather nice, and no doubt was nice, or at least the weather suggested that. Focusing his attention on [member="Karisa"] then, he noted the color of the dress, he believed it was her house colors. Stepping up and to the side, Adenn merely observed for now. He'd let the others do the speaking.

[member="Beth Cadera"] was moving. Yasha breathed deeply in her more casual beskar’gam, its’ red and gold colouring a more traditional take than her formal beskar’kandar. Certainly forty plus pounds lighter.

Her shoulders bore enough weight today, as she helped her eldest child pack up her life, and move to another system half the Galaxy away. Yasha shut her eyes and breathed, glad for the helmet’s protection against showing Beth just how hard this was. Brave face… Brave face.

Yasha’s crush gaunt clad hand rubbed Beth’s back. House Sabosen seemingly had an amazing medical school program. Beth’s education wouldn’t suffer… but Yasha was going to miss Beth’s first pregnancy.

Her first moment feeling their kicks. Her first ultrasound. Her first time shopping for maternity clothes, or cradles, or baby clothes… Yasha tried to reschedule everything she possibly could, to spend as much time with Beth as possible. To bring out cradles, baby clothes, the items a young mother needed from Yasha’s own storage.

[member="Adenn Kyramud"] came along, her mother’s lover… the future father of her siblings. How was that supposed to make any of them feel?

“Adenn’s right. You’ll be fine, and Lana and Rasho are with you… if you need anything you can call in a millisecond.” Yasha took off her helmet, and brushed a loose strand from her crown braid of hair away from her face. “Let’s get you settled! And you have your vitamins, and your clothes, and the baby crate, and… Ambassador [member="Karisa"] is going to meet us, correct?”

[member="Adenn Kyramud"] might have had his buy’ce on but Beth knew exactly what he thought when he looked over to her. No, it wasn’t through the Force that she knew. It was through their friendship. She gave him a very clear scoff but a weak smile afterwards. She gently nudged his shoulder with hers as he gave hers a squeeze. “I’ll miss you and your crazy antics,” she muttered to Adenn.

She gave a small smile as she heard her mom’s voice, [member="Yasha Cadera"]. “You know I will,” she said quietly with a small nod. She placed an arm behind Yasha’s back as she took another breath. Thing’s were going to be okay, right? Most people were excited to pack up and move away from family. But Beth was so connected with them, it hurt worse. And while she knew she had to finally grow up. “Yeah, [member="Karisa"] will be meeting us,” she confirmed. “She’s kinda set all of this up, honestly.

And as they left the ramp, Karisa was indeed waiting for them near the main house – beautiful as always. Beth gave a smile and a small nod as she walked up. She reached her hand to shake Karisa’s. “I’m Beth Cadera. It’s great to finally meet you in person,” she said in basic. She had been practicing Chuenh but… She really didn’t want to make a fool of herself. It was such a hard language to speak. She took a moment to take in the estate, “It is so beautiful here.” The smell from the nearby ocean that was carried by the breeze, the comfortable spring-like weather. Really, it was it's own little paradise.

Cleru had remained awfully quiet on the trip over. How could he not? [member="Yasha Cadera"] spoke barely any common, and he barely any of the Mando's tongue. But he sat with [member="Beth Cadera"] , his hand in hers. He hadn't expected this result, of Beth deciding to come to the Ascendancy, especially with how much family she had in Mandalorian space. It made sense that there'd be an ambassador, but..

Well, all of this threw him for a loop.

He kept behind Beth once they exited the ship, avoiding eye contact with [member="Karisa"] . The Chiss hadn't been in this estate since he was very young, and as unlikely as it would be for Karisa to recognize him, he didn't want to chance it after all.

Sabosen Estate
Brask'ari'sabosen stood with her blue-hued hands clasped neatly at her trim waist. She waited for the party from Mandalore to disembark down the boarding ramp of their transport before making her way to them on the landing pad.

"Su cuy'gar, vode," the Ambassador greeted in Mando'a with a respectful cant of her dark head to [member="Yasha Cadera"], then to [member="Adenn Kyramud"] who had accompanied them from their homeworld; always watchful was the alor of his charges.

Switching over to Galactic Basic, Brask'ari'sabosen added to her salutation. "Welcome to Sposia, Mand'alor. House Sabosen is honored to host you and your family during your stay in Chiss space."

Crimson eyes then fell upon [member="Beth Cadera"], who was standing next to her mother. The blonde hybrid was very pretty and seemingly a little nervous. The latter was to be expected. This would be a giant step for her so far away from home in a strange land and culture, though perhaps not so much so as the Chiss known as [member="Cleru"] had befriended Beth at the Masquerade Ball, and had continued their relationship there after right up to present as he was with the arriving group.

"And you must be the aspiring doctor I will have the privilege of mentoring. I so look very forward to working with you, Miss Cadera. For ease, you may use my core name that of Karisa," Ari smiled warmly at the young woman as she extended her hand in a friendly gesture.

"I thought it would be best to get you settled into where you will be staying on the grounds during your tenure with us. Later after you all are rested, there will be a dinner at the main house where my father and I live to celebrate our reunion and the continuing friendship between our two great factions," she nodded, then waved her hand graciously for the group to get into the waiting land speeder.

The only loose end was if a certain guest would show up for dinner. Hopefully Admiral Mitth'orn'eruod would be able to join them since [member="Thorne"] had been part of the previous Chiss delegation that went to Mandalore to discuss diplomatic relations between the Ascendancy and the Clans. It would be good to have a high ranking member of the CEDF available in case 'other' business came up. Plus, it would be good to see him again.

CHISS SPACE

Ch'avz; Sposia.
Sabosen Estate.
Once again, CEDF requirements had resulted in Mitth'orn'eruod being somewhat late to the gathering. He walked toward the landing pad of the Sabosen Estate, escorted by a member of the House, before stopping short of intruding on the group ahead. Mitth'orn'eruod then stood to one side as the Mandalorian delegation arrived, remaining inconspicuous amid the gathered Chiss, insofar as he could. As usual, he was dressed in his black military uniform, complete with Admiral insignia, and black gloved hands held at the small of his back. Despite the less formal situation, Mitth'orn'eruod felt far more comfortable in his uniform, as it tended to be what he wore most of his waking hours. In fact, the Admiral couldn't recall a particular item of personal clothing that was of note, as far as being important or something he enjoyed wearing...

As the introductions were shared, with Brask'ari'sabosen playing host to the arrivals, Mitth'orn'eruod maintained a pleasant expression. Less neutral, more half-smile. These were friends, after all, so a small measure of emotional display was considered appropriate. When the Mandalorians were directed toward the speeder that waited nearby, Mitth'orn'eruod moved forward and made his presence more known, nodding as he approached Brask'ari'sabosen.

"A pleasure to see you again, friends," The Admiral said as he gave a small bow of the head, looking to Yasha and Adenn. It seemed the leader of the Mandalorians did, in fact, have a face as she removed her helmet. "It seems this is a most auspicious occasion. House Sabosen is one of the most respected families in the Ascendancy, your daughter will be well cared for and protected with them, undoubtedly. And you look lovely as always, Brask'ari'sabosen... I look forward to seeing your family home. Thank you for the invitation."

Honestly, the situation seemed irregular, perhaps even inciting some of his mild xenophobia, but Mitth'orn'eruod couldn't deny that Beth Cadera's residence on Sposia would be a boon for the alliance the two groups shared at the very least... which brought Mitth'orn'eruod to the other individual in the equation, one by the name of Jac'leru'rizzem, of whom the Admiral had little-to-no interaction with.

I will observe him for now...

Nodding his head to what [member="Yasha Cadera"], he smiled slightly behind his helmet. Then he returned his attention to [member="Beth Cadera"], smirking at her scoff, he returned her smile. When she nudged his shoulder, Adenn wrapped an arm around her shoulder and hugged her.
"Miss my crazy antics? Oh, I'll be visiting often enough that you won't be missing anything." Adenn chuckled dryly then, squeezing her in the hug again before releasing her.

Then they were walking down the ramp, as they walked Adenn noted [member="Cleru"] behind Beth. It seemed he was as, if not more, nervous than Beth about this. As [member="Karisa"] greeted him in Mando'a, Adenn grinned behind his helmet and nodded to her. Waiting next to the group, Adenn observed the area and took note of the land speeder. It looked like it could fit enough people, but if need be, Adenn would be able to just fly along with them.

Shortly thereafter, [member="Thorne"] came up to them and spoke. Nodding his head to the Admiral, Adenn observed him. Tilting his head in curiosity, Adenn then went back to observing their surroundings. For what, not even he knew, but all his actions were filled with confidence and a surety in step. Thus, he took a step away from the group and towards the speeder, but also turned more to observe both parties. He noted attire, mannerism, speech, everything. Who knew when it might come in handy; for now though, Adenn was content to simply watch and listen. He'd do more later, if it were called for him to add his input.
