- One For All, and All For the Money - While generally loyal and reliable, these units work for pay. They are unlikely to stick around for a TPK, and may be susceptible to sufficiently large bribes.
The Battleborn have existed as a Mercenary Company for multiple generations under the command of Mattox heirs. They came into being when an Arkanian Offshoot exile bought a used troop carrier centuries ago. A grandson of that original Mercenary Captain runs the group today. No original members of the company still exist, but there is a sense of history in the mix of personnel, as everyone can remember battles hard fought and won- and a few lost- over the decades of lived experience within the unit. The unit only hires people with combat experience, so even their newbies are veterans… sometimes the sons and daughters of previous members.
