Well-Rounded Education - Box was apprenticed to every member of the ship's crew and learned a diverse set of skills and perspectives.

Soldiery - Box has the full gamut of armed and unarmed combat skills and tactics expected of an experienced mercenary Captain. He can be considered a highly trained professional on par with the elite soldiers of competent military forces.
WEAKNESSES
Prone to Passion - Due to his Arkanian Warbreed heritage, Box can be provoked into taking actions that are emotionally driven rather than logically indicated.
Sensitive Eyes - Although Warbreeds have good low-light vision, they are sensitive to bright lights.
Uncouth - Despite his well-rounded education, there was no focus on social etiquette. In refined environs he will tend to stand out as a boorish person, which can impede certain business and relationship prospects.
He's So Old - Warbreeds are long-lived, but they look old far before their time thanks to their white hair. This aesthetic isn't for everyone.
HISTORY
Box is a grizzled warrior from an exiled community of warriors, the Arkanian Warbreeds. He is the third generation to inherit his family's mercenary vessel, Gorskin, crewed by a combination of Arkanian offshoots and soldiers from across the galaxy who call themselves the Battleborn.
He was home-schooled aboard the ship, in a non-traditional way. It is sometimes said that it takes a village to raise a child. On the Gorskin, that was exactly the case. He was apprenticed to officers and crew at each station aboard ship, spending a year in rotation at each position before moving on to the next. He sampled the skills, hobbies, picadilloes, and personal histories of people from a dozen worlds.
Box went on his first combat mission at age sixteen, in a support role. By age eighteen, he was shooting opponents and getting shot at on the front lines. By age twenty-one, he was leading a squad. By twenty-five, he was leading entire missions. When his parents died during an anti-pirate operation in Duros space, he was forced to assume command of the Gorskin, some years before he wanted to.
Since then, he has tried to lead the Battleborn well, getting them the best possible contracts. So far, he has kept them fed, healthy, and generally prosperous. Box means to keep it that way, whatever it takes.
