Simply think for yourself, do your own research. If a media company says The Elysium Empire is evil, compare us and our actions to that of say....The Sith Empire. It's quite simple to see that we aren't evil at all.

Well, any faction compared to the Sith are of lesser evil. But you are right. One must not be swayed by the media, for after all, they are not really in the business of giving news away for free. They are supported by those who advertise on their network...therefore have some influence in how such news is reported or not.
